Beautiful park to get out and spend time alone or with family. There are two lakes that you can access for fishing, two playgrounds, walking paths and plenty of picnic tables, gazebos and green space to just hang out. There is plenty of parking nearby. There was a young kid there today making balloon animals for anyone who wanted one and was selling them for $1. Very kind and talented young man, and he was only 11 years old. The park grounds crew were there ensuring the grass was cut, watered and clear of debris!

This is a great park. I have been here a few times. This is my dog Chloe first time at this park. This park used to have two playgrounds. Today there is only one playground. The other playground is under renovation. The park itself has a decent amount of walking trail. The big pond is nice. There is a decent parking lot at the park entrance. The park looks clean when I went here today. It is also quiet today, which is nice and relaxing.

This is a very nice park with a paved walking path, tennis/pickleball courts, and 2 playgrounds. We took our little one to the new playground that recently renovated and reopened a week ago. It was very crowded and parking was miserable. I probably will avoid coming here on the weekends.

I love exploring different parks - especially ones with walking trails. This park is directly next door to and shares a parking lot with the city hall. There is a big lake with a bridge to walk over, many dock type platforms to stand on and a nice, wide, paved walking trail. There are benches and picnic tables all around the lake area. They also have educational plaques that talk about the wildlife and what you may see around the park. I saw ducks and geese and they were fiesty chasing each other around! On the day I went I walked around the lake on the paved trail, then parked myself on a bench reading for a few hours. It was glorious! They also have a playground equipment, ball fields and a pavilion though I didn't really explore those areas they did look well taken care of.

One of the nicest parks in St. Louis County. I grew up not far from here and this is the park my grandparents brought me to in order to feed the ducks and play on the playground. It's had a lot of improvements since then but still lovely. I highly recommend Des Peres Park!

Officially my new favorite place to run after work. The trail around the park is only a little over a mile, so it takes a few loops to get in a good workout - but it's peaceful and empty most of the times I have gone here (except for the playgrounds). There is a pretty big parking lot for the size of the park, and a nice pond in the middle of it that allows catch and release fishing. The bathrooms are some of the nicest I've seen in a public park, and there are plenty of drinking fountains to get water from after running in the sun. It's no Forest Park, but it's a nice place to escape to for a while - even with busy Manchester right on the other side.

Beautiful walk around the lake. Some of the trees are bright red and yellow. This park is close to home and has a loop walking trail one small bridge and a socket field.

I didn't get to spend much time here, but I had a nice little visit the other day! I had no idea that this little gem was tucked away, just across and down the street from West County Mall! It had a beautiful little pond, a soccer field and a great playground! According to the little map I looked over, there seems to be plenty of trail worth walking or running! I look forward to stopping by again the next time I'm in the area!

Can't believe it's the week of Christmas. What beautiful weather!

This is one of my favorite parks. It's close to West County Mall, it's always very clean and well kept, and has tennis courts. Very beautiful grounds for an afternoon walk, playing with your dog, or just a quick relaxing getaway from work in the afternoon. Great spot to have a picnic!

Pretty place to run but it is very small so unless you are looking for a quick workout you will be running lots of laps!!

This included a 1-hour canoe rental for two from Big Muddy Adventures. I should start by saying that I was impressed that this park is so accessible to St. Louis City and County residents (near 141 and 44). It is well-maintained with a playground, walking paths, bathrooms (clean and well-stocked), a large covered shelter with picnic tables and a lovely lake with kayak/canoe rentals. Fishing is allowed. It was a hot day, but we enjoyed sitting in the shade, canoeing around the little lake and later seeing the sun set over the lake. I would like to return again and walk around the lake with our dog and then perhaps have a picnic on one of the covered picnic tables with a view of the lake.

It's a great distance to get some steps in, and if you want to continue your steps, you can head across Marshall near the water. It's clean, lots of wildlife, and a really lovely spot. I believe they also have the option of renting kayaks to go on the lake. If you're the outdoorsy type, it's worth checking out! Great spot to get together with friends and family.

The park also hosts the annual art fair and other pop up events. My favorite thing about this park is that it is not super crowded. While the weekends might boost the number of visitors, the park is usually still fairly peaceful. We've met photographers here before as the sculptures and sceneries do introduce lovely backgrounds for photoshoots. We've also just spent some time strolling with our pup on beautiful days. There is an education center to learn about the park. Aside from beautiful nature scenes and flowers, there is a large eyeball which is quite an entertaining conversational piece, a very tall human piece, a leafy looking piece made of wood, a large moose (I think?) and so much more! If you haven't made the trip, take some time to check this place out on a morning or an afternoon stroll and check out some outdoor arts!

But once you start walking the walking paths, you realize that the park is quite big and seems to stretch into the distance due to the hilly nature of the park. I love all of the modern art/sculpture pieces. Overall captures the atmosphere and ingenuity of man. A wonderful place that people should definitely check out when coming to St. Louis! :)
