I've been coming to Tilles since I was little and it's always a little dose of nostalgia. It's such a great spot for all ages! Family friendly and lots of things to do. The walking trails and loop around the park make for a perfect spot to walk and get some steps in. They have a playground and a lake as well, so it adds a lot of variety. During this particular visit I went for book club. It was such a nice day outside so we decided to have it here. It was perfect to sit in the sunshine and enjoy while discussing our book. Every year during the holiday season, I go to Tilles to see the Christmas light display. And it's always quite a display too! The river and the fish jumping out of a pond are two of my favorite displays that the park puts on every year. I once even went during the summer to see what the place looked like during the offseason, and you'd never recognize it at that time of year. Nice park with a lot of grounds and room to walk around. There's a nice sized play ground with ample parking in front of it. There were plenty of people out walking their dogs. There are a few shelter areas if you wanted to rent them out or simply come and enjoy your lunch at the picnic tables. I love this park. Lots of space, lots of green, lots of trees. I had a nice walk around after my morning flights followed by a long day of exploring Saint Louis. You can drive around the whole park or do what I did - park at the entrance and wander. There is a playground, some picnic shelters, a baseball field and a sprayground which was still closed for the season. Decent parking but not nearly enough. What an amazing park.The beautiful park is decorated with beautiful lights. You can see the different holiday scenes. I don't celebrate the holiday. However, I do enjoy looking at beautiful light displays. This has to be one of the best in the Midwest. There was a wall of lights. Lights flashing and dripping. Even a 4th of July fireworks scene. This is an absolutely amazing park for young children. My kids are four and two. A coworker lives close by and suggested we meet her family at this park. I'm so glad she did. The playground looks pretty new and is super clean. There is a bigger play structure for older kids and another one geared towards younger (like toddler) aged kids. They also have a splash pad where water shoots out of the ground. There's a musical instrument area and swings. Having everything spread out keeps it feeling not crowded. I marveled at the fact that on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. to noon there weren't a ton of kids there. The parks in our neighborhood back in Tampa would have been absolutely packed. The bathroom next to the splashpad is great to change the kids into their bathing suits. This park is huge. We didn't even walk around to see the lake and pavilions. My coworker who lives here said they were there the other day for a huge crawfish boil and that during the holidays it is decked out in lights. She also mentioned she used to run the giant loop. The parking lot seemed to have tons of spaces. I never saw it get completely full. Overall, I think this is a great way to spend a couple of hours with kids. I highly recommend it. read more

I popped in here one day for a walk when I was out and about. There is a walking trail that was nice, but not sure how long it is. There is a kids area and off to the side there was a lake with a pavilion and ducks. Overall it was a nice area. Much of the drive through area is currently shut down so you can walk in the road. The walking trail is wide enough for 2 people, but you have to go in the grass to pass someone if you are walking faster. read more

My family adores Tilles Park! I'm usually here with my 1.5 year old, and we always happily spend a few hours checking out different parts of the park. I love that you can spend some time on the swings and the playground (when it's safe; right now we only do that if there aren't many others around.) From there, we walk the grounds and take in the sights... there are always other happy walkers, usually with adorable dogs. We also love checking out the geese in the lake! We could hang out on that dock all day and watch them get in and out of the water. It's fun to watch people trying to catch fish, as well. One thing I love about Tilles is going for a walk during the holidays. Even though the park is decked out with lights for the nighttime drive-thru, during the day the entire park is open. There's something special about getting an up-close and personal view at all of the lights. It's a family favorite on warmer November and December days! I'm grateful to have this park nearby. read more

I have visited this park a few times lately with friends for a physically distant place to hang out! My friend has a son who I get to catch Pokemon with and Tilles park has lots of them! It is super easy to find parking here which is always a plus when I visit a park! While most of the track/trail is rocky. they do have some pavement to walk/run on as well and I see people running often. We mostly walk around the park in search of Pokemon though so the rocky path doesn't bother us too much. There is a lovely little lake area with a water fountain and it's so peaceful to hang out there and relax. Right now the playground is closed, but that's okay because there are so many places to run around and hang out in for kids and I even saw some people fishing in the lake which seems like a fun thing to do! read more

Excellent family park. Play grounds are playable for all ages. The two acre lake has been cleaned up with the fountain flowing nicely for the water to aerate water properly. This trip out my two granddaughters caught six fish. Oldest 7, Mia, caught a very nice catfish. Maybe 1 1/2# or more. 4 yr old Nora caught three small fish which included a 4" baby trout. I'll attach photos so I can be corrected if you know what it really is! The fishing dock is perfect for small children and grandparents alike. I'd only wish that dog owners not take there pets to the dock while children are present. Not all children are doggie friendly. Thank you. Oh by the way, I used small green earthworms. Found them in a frig at Walmart. Best hook them on several times because the fish love'm! read more

It is now the season for Christmas and Tilles Park does it right. The whole park is covered in Christmas lights of many different themes. Santa, Rudolph, songs, elves, all made of Christmas lights. What makes this special is on Saturday night they close the park to all vehicles. Except one. Horse drawn carriages. Even these were themed by the owners. Our team of horses were dressed with blinking Christmas. lights We had a large carriage which held 20 people. The larger the carriage the smaller the price. We opted for the large carriage and paid only $12 person. (reservations are required) This was the whole K. clan. My 2 sons and their wives and of course Mrs. K. and I. My youngest son was in town for his wife's baby shower. His Mrs. K. is due in March. Anyway thanks to my oldest son's wife we were all together and a good time was had by all. read more

I love this park. It's classic childhood for me. They have several pavilions for outings, reunions and parties. There are 2 playgrounds for the kiddos and a water fountain area by the main playground for cooling off and water fun. There is a ball field and fishing area. My favorite part of the park are the trails and round about for working out. You can go either the gravel route or pavement. There are plenty of restrooms throughout the park and the tree's provide plenty of shade from the sun on those hot days. For the Christmas season they have a light display. It's a great place for your four legged babies and open areas for them to run, they do require them to be on a leash and you're responsible for their poop. I love this park. I love how much there is to do in this park. I love how much parking there is in this park. I absolutely love the playground. I also adore the Christmas Light display at this place. This park has everything. Tons of green space to lay around and lounge is the main aspect. However, there are also tennis courts that are decently maintained. The playground here is fantastic. There are tons of tubes and swings and fun things for kids to crawl around inside of. Also, it's fenced in, so it's very easy to watch your kids while they play. Also, they have the ground covered in foam so there's none of that rocks in your shoes cutting up your knees when you fall, problem. As for the Christmas light display, I love this one. You can rent out horse carriages and ride through with a blanket over you and whoever you choose to ride through with. You can drive through too and turn your radio to the local Christmas station that the park uses during the Christmas season. The lights are gorgeous and not really tacky the way that Jellystone Park tends to be. It is a quick trip through too, so it won't take up your entire night to go out for a ride and look at the lights. All in all, a great little park nestled in mid-west county. read more

We have been fairly frequent visitors to Tilles park for most of our lives. We visit the christmas light displays during the holiday season and we take carriage rides through the park. Since having a kid we come to play at the playground whenever we are in the area. We just went and noticed they are revamping the water play area. Can't wait to see how it turns out. read more

We went here the other day when it was 95+ degrees out to go to the splash park. It was nice to get out and cool down with the Kido and have fun. I like the splash park and now want to explore the rest of the park, just maybe when it is cooler. I do love driving through the lights in December, they are really good. read more

Tilles Park has now become a family Christmas tradition. The entire park is covered with Christmas lights in many different themes. You can drive or take a horse drawn carriage. Our driver was very knowledgeable and the horse was named and she shared all the info she could as we trekked down the path. Our carriage held 6 adults. While this ride was arranged for us, it is highly recommended that you make reservations and it usually sells out so you'll have to get your reservations early. We love it and so will you! read more

*disclaimer* I am reviewing this Park strictly from the view of my boyfriend's car, as it was FREEZING out. But we were there for.... WINTERWONDERLAND! The park was dressed to the NINES! I thought I'd seen every Christmas light show around. Candy cane lane in St Louis Hills is quaint...and although I've driven by Tilles Park, could it be worth $10 of my hard-earned cold cash? Yup. I found myself squealing as if I was 4 years old waiting in line for Santa at Macy's on Christmas Eve at 4:59pm. The 12 days of Christmas were my hightlight. Carriage rides are available, but I'm not sure about the price. Totally worth it from the warmth of your car and probably cheaper. read more

All the other reviews were about winter time. Summer time looks like it's pretty rad as well. Being your bathing suits they have a play fountain for the kids next to the playground . The main playground has many jungle gym features that kept my kiddos completely occupied for about an hour. There is easy parking and even though there were many people at the park there was no overcrowding what so ever. Looked like everyone was having fun. There is a shaded area for parents but be sure to bring sunscreen because the actual play area and swings are completely shade free. Overall looks like you could do a whole day here is you brought a picnic, after church Sunday would probably be the way to go. read more

This is a great park! Ample parking, special events throughout the year, a great all-abilities playground, water features and restroom facilities. Besides the Winter Wonderland lights display that it's famous for, they also have food truck events, occasional craft fairs, and other events here. You can even fish in the pond. The playground is wonderful and has a fountain type thing that kids can run through. There are restrooms nearby for kids who can't wait til they get home. This playground was designed to accommodate kids of all abilities, so it's accessible to kids who are in wheelchairs and has some special equipment for them, like swings. They also have a parent-child swing here, which is a swing like a normal adult/big kids swing that's attached to a baby/toddler swing. They face each other, so you can swing with your child instead of pushing. It's really cool!! This isn't the closest park to my house, but it's my favorite. My only critique is that I wish it had paved walking trails. It has a trail but it's unpaved, so difficult with the typical stroller. read more

This park's a super awesome park with plenty of shade, picnic benches, and playgrounds for the kiddos. Now that the Shady Szechuan Shack is suuuuper busy, grabbing your meal and eating out here's becoming for common for me and has made me appreciate the place that much more. It's just big enough to not get too crowded and just small enough where you can get in to wherever you want to get to and get out quickly enough. I went this weekend to experience the APA's Canine Carnival so I didn't get to experience the park itself at it's best. What I saw was enough to convince me to go back one day when there aren't 100 cars parked on the grass. Nice well established trees, big kids play area, lots of green space.. all in the middle of a beautiful residential neighborhood. The Carnival itself was fun! Lots of dogs to meet and free samples too! I could have gone broke donating to all of the good causes there. I did what I could, took my free samples and went home with one exhausted dog! read more

Love this park! Super spacious and very nice people in the area. We visited for feast in the park with the food trucks and spent the evening exploring the park. This was a first for us, but we will be back! Would be a great place for children and fitness adventures! Can't wait to return. read more

Tilles Park Winter Wonderland. The lights are terrific. The carriage ride to see the lights, not so much! Our driver was not friendly and did not let us take a picture with the horses and carriage. Hurried through the park passing other carriages which were pulled off to the side taking pictures of the lights. Carriage holds 9 but realistically 6, maybe 7. This review is solely on the christmas lights display and not the actual park. The displays are nice and do a nice job of varying the themes and colors. We took one of the carriages (This can get slightly expensive) and the driver was funny and knowledgable about the horses and carriage company.... not so much on the lights. Cars can drive through for $9 and stay warm and listen to the radio station they have synched with Christmas music. I would recommend this place for a family or a nice romantic night to start the evening off right, but remember the tour is only 20-25 minutes. read more

I would give it 5 stars, I love this place to death but as of late? What's going on with the pond and no fountains? Tilles is better than this. I've counted 14 dead catfish, lots of garbage, alfae, it's smells like death near the water and there are no fountains turned on to circulate the pond. It's rather disgusting. Loved their Christmas lights display! I haven't been for years and it was fun to gather up the family in the SUV and check out their lights. It was better than I remember! Very classy without being too 'kid friendly' with only cartoon characters (like some other light displays are). Kids and adults will all thorougly enjoy, make sure to get there early before they open so you can avoid the VERY long lines that form to get in here! read more

The beautiful playground has not been well maintained. All during the summer of 2014 there were safety issues which I reported. The sprinkler system in the children's bathing area was not working well. Now a year later in 2015 the sprinklers aren't working at all. There are new signs that say how to work them but the sprinklers don''t respond. What a shame. This is a pretty new playground and the County can spend $300,000 and more a year hiring extra employees to string Christmas lights in the park for the Winter Wonderland but they can't give the children a place to cool off in the heat of summer by maintaining this wonderful children's play area!! read more

The Winter Wonderland Display is stunning. Yes it's a bit of a wait but so worth it! The trees that had lights like fireworks incredible! Every tur in the road gave us something new to look at! We were so excited to play at this park. The equipment is great for a variety of ages and has unique activities. Previous years, we have been frustrated by the sporadic water play area where the kids constantly thought it was turning off. This has been fixed and the water play area stays on regularly which makes the water area much more fun! We even got to see the ducks! read more
