I was car shopping for about two weeks, dealing with a bunch of annoying car salesman so when I found the car that I wanted here, I was honestly expecting the same thing. However, I was wrong. I was helped by Eric my salesperson and let me just say that Eric was very kind, helpful, honest and treated me with more respect than any car salesman had treated me. He was very cooperative and helped me get to a price that both the dealership and I could agree on. Whether its a new car or used, I would ask for Eric when you come to Encinitas Ford. read more

Start to finish, this crew is top notch! Michelle in Customer Service was prompt and cheerful. Shane, our salesman, was fantastic; authentic, attentive, accommodating, and even offered to keep an eye on my 3.5 year-old so I could run to the car to get my diaper bag for my 1.5 year-old while my husband was signing papers. Kevin got our paperwork done in no time, was amazingly organized all while said 3.5 and 1.5 yo's were causing havoc, and he even sang along to "We're going on a bear hunt". All the way around, the Encinitas Ford team got us in and out quick and with a beautiful car at a price we could afford. Thank you all! read more

Broght my Escape in 3 times this year and each time the service has been exceptional! Mark helped me the first time when I had a weekend appointment and Rigo has assisted me on my last 2 visits. Both service writers were wonderful and made sure my car had been taken care of and in a timely manner- I would highly recommend the service at Encinitas Ford. My little Escape has been across the country two times and through 4 moves and has been to at least 8 different dealerships for service in the 3 years I've had her, and Encinitas ford has been my Favorite by far. Keep up the exceptional service, I hope to keep bringing my Escape there for a years to come! read more

I came here for a brand new leftover 2018 mustang ecoboost premium with the performance pack and let me say this Frank is the man he was so laid back non pushy kind of salesman didn't try to sale me on the car he let me figure out if the car was right for me and not to mention I got a killer deal. I will definitely comeback to buy my next car I will just have to time it right with his schedule. Apparently he likes to take alot of vacations read more

Good experience with Allen trading in my car and buying a new one. No sketchy sales tactics to be found. Pricing is good so you are not trying to negotiate down thousands of dollars to get to a fair price. Do your research and you will have a good experience and get a good deal. Reward dealerships like Encinitas Ford that are playing fair and don't give your business to the bad ones (that shall not be named but we've all been to them!) read more

Best car dealership in San Diego County! Andy Hutchinson is The Best. Honest. Cares about his customers. Good quality cars & trucks. Made the entire experience easy. He has my business for life! read more

I want to give a big shout out to Andy in sales and Kevin in finance. We went up this past Sunday to look at a used F150 we saw online. I called to make sure the truck was still available they said it was so we headed up from San Diego. They had the truck right in front waiting for us when we got there. Andy took us on a nice test drive and was very personable. After the test drive and deciding we liked the truck (which was after many trips back and forth from Andy's office to look at the truck to make sure it's what we wanted) Andy was very understanding and helped work out a deal that fit our budget. Kevin had all of the paper work ready to go so the final steps of signing everything was very easy. On top of their great service, we had thrown a tough situation their direction when dealing with the vehicle we traded in. We can't thank them enough for taking on the task and working so hard to get it taken care. I highly recommend Encinitas Ford! read more

Very professional and nice people work at this dealership. I found a used Ford Edge on Cargurus that really interested me, and they helped me purchase it. I live in Los Angeles, so the deal was different than your typical car-buying experience. However, they made it easy. Dan Rocco worked with me on the phone. Jay Garcia facilitated my sister (who lived close by) test driving it, and Rick Padilla had me in-and-out in less than an hour when I drove down to purchase it. The manager even came out to meet me! Several people from the dealership have called me since to make sure I was satisfied with the experience and the car. Overall a really great experience. read more

This is a great dealership with very helpful and friendly staff! My husband and I had an excellent experience purchasing a Ford Explorer from them. We worked with Austin Webb, who was very knowledgeable and helpful without being pushy at all. Austin made our whole experience stress-free and enjoyable! We also worked with Doug on the finances, and he was very professional and friendly as well. We would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone we know interested in top-notch customer service for their next car purchase! read more

After giving them a third chance from what I understand is new service management I have to give them 5 Stars they went above and beyond to accommodate me and my problems. From General Staffing to the service Staffing excellent care! I didn't like the result that I got but that's just because I thought it was worse than what it was and they were right. Definitely going back to them from now on! read more

I bought a used vehicle from them a few weeks ago. The salesman Austin was great, no pressure, very professional. The pricing was by the book, not much room for negotiation because it is a larger dealer. The finance lady was nice and the process was easy but she tried hard to sell me on an expensive (nearly $4k) protection plan. All used cars they sell come with a 30 day, 1000 mile warranty for free. It was a quick and simple transaction, nothing really stood out except for Austin the salesman who was really cool. So why 5 stars? Because of the great service! On the way home I couldn't get the Bluetooth to pair, then I spent the next 2 hours in my driveway watching YouTube videos, reading the manual and basically yelling at the car. I called Austin and told him the Bluetooth wasn't working and he was apologetic and told me to bring the car back in. The next day I bring the car back and they can't get it to pair either so they have to send it to another dealer (I didn't buy a ford). It takes a week but they replaced an expensive (free of charge) telematics unit and now my Bluetooth works as it should. A few days later I am looking around under the hood and notice a slight coolant leak. I call Austin again and he arranges me to bring the car back in. This time I was dealing with the service manager Sandy who was an 11 on the scale of 1 to 10 of friendliness. They have the car for a few more days and wound up replacing a leaking thermostat housing (free of charge). Now everything is perfect! Encinitas ford stands behind their product and they really go above and beyond to make the customer satisfied. I can't blame them for some slight issues with a vehicle that just came in from a trade, things happen in older vehicles and neither issue was something that was easy to notice in an inspection. They provided outstanding customer service and support. I would recommend this dealer to absolutely anyone looking for a new or used vehicle (ask for Austinl and I would definately recommend their service department and Sandy if you have a Ford. read more

On 12/12/18 I purchased my 2. New Ford Explorer from them. Came all the way from La Jolla to repeat the positive, previous experience I had with this dealership. Different Sales Person, different Manager, but still the same attitude. No wheeling, no dealing, good knowledge of products, excellent follow-through with commitments. Andy Hutchinson was my Salesman this time. I can see why he was named "Salesman of the Year", repeatedly. Marla Schmitter read more

I will never buy another car from Encinitas Ford, Purchased a commercial car and advised salesman Nate AND finance rep that i would need commercial plates. Both assured me they would take care of it, billed me for the DMV fees AND held the vehicle 3 days for the weight certificates. 6 months later still waiting for plates, receive my DMV reimbursement as Encinitas Ford DMV rep Irma was not able to assist in that process as well, and was very rude when spoke to her of our issue. I ended up having to pay for vehicle IN FULL myself just to get commercial plates. Once car is sold they don't care about the customer or accept any responsibility for their actions. Was planning to buy a 10 car fleet but will now go else where. Suggest you do the same. read more

One of the most aggravating experiences in a long time. I now know why I detest the car buying process. I called the dealer on a Saturday to inquire about a car being advertised on multiple car buying sites as well as their own. I was told by Bruce that the car was available and he invited me to drive it. My response was that I was busy on Saturday and would like to see it on Sunday. I asked if he would be there on Sunday and confirmed that he would. On Sunday I verified on their website that the vehicle was still available. I called to speak with Bruce and was told he was not in. Within a short period of time I received a call from a Michelle and an Austin who both left voice mail messages wanting to make sure the vehicle in which i was interested was available when I was coming in. I called Michelle back and she said Bruce was not in, but she could help me. She advised me that the vehicle in which I had interest was available and would be pulled up front when I arrived for my appointment. I left for the 30 mile drive from my house to the dealership. Upon arriving I asked a salesman that I speak to Michelle and I waited shortly until she greeted me. She immediately said that her assistant Austin would be helping me. I met Austin and he took me outside and asked what vehicle interested me. When I replied, he said he thought it had been sold the day before. I said that seemed odd because Michelle had told me that it was available. When telling him I didn't appreciate being told one thing and finding out another, some other salesman joins Austin to make a pitch to me for some other vehicle. I promptly left and about thirty minutes later went on the dealership's website to see if the vehicle was still being shown as available. As I am viewing it a new window opens which states "I'm online, how may I help you? Jennifer." I inquire as to the availability of the vehicle. She says "yes" it is still available and asks for my name. I give her my name informing her that I was just at the dealership and had been told that it sold on Saturday. She says she will have to check the inventory and will get back to me. She didn't call back and unfortunately I missed a call from an Andy who left a voice mail message validating that the vehicle had been sold on Saturday, but I should come back in because they have other vehicles that I might like. Does he really think I want to deal with a firm that misleads people after I drove over sixty miles and wasted nearly two hours of my time? read more

So refreshing from start to finish! My son called ahead and spoke with Larry who had the Explorer ready when we got there. We didn't need to even test drive as we had already done so at a couple dealerships. We went right to negotiations. Jeff the Sales Manager got involved as well but they were both very professional and did work with us to get a good deal. They were very nice and laid back and made it a very nice experience! Not the situation we had at the dealership in Poway, hence why we didn't buy from them and went to Encinitas! Glad we did! Lindsey in Finance was very nice as well. Told us about the options but didn't pressure us to buy! Very happy with the experience we had there! Only 4 Stars because ad was a little misleading regarding rebates. We still got most but not all of them! read more

Took my car in to Encinitas Ford yesterday to trade it in and get different model. Allen Kessler my sales associate and he did a great job. Everything went very smoothly. They gave me what I wanted for my trade in, and made me a great deal on the car I got! If you're looking for a new or used car head to this dealer. The experience was great from when I walked in the door, to test driving the car I wanted, and into financing a good deal with Kevin Burns. I highly recommend this dealership! read more

Great service when buying the car and follow up for satisfaction of my purchase. Daniel and the service department have gone out of their way to make sure the purchase went well. There was a small thing that needed to be fixed after I noticed a small pull to the left when breaking. The service department rectifies it right away. Again, superb service all around, from browsing, to buying, and follow up satisfaction. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ford Encinitas, and specifically Daniel, to anyone looking to buy a car. read more

Been coming here for over a decade now for both service and to buy a new truck My previous truck I had for 12 years because I took care of it. Well, actually that's a lie...I personally beat the heck out of that truck, but paid *someone else* to take care of it. I regularly brought it in to the Encinitas Ford Service Dept for oil changes, scheduled services, brakes, and tires. The vehicle never once let me down, and the consistently good service lead me to buying a new truck from Encinitas Ford a few years back. They gave me a very fair deal on exactly the model I wanted. I'm writing this review now because: - I was considering using a different Ford Dealership closer to where I live, but after looking into it (reviews, talking to them on the phone) I'm thinking "why mess with what has worked well?". The affiliation of the service department at some Ford Dealerships seems a bit suspect. -To share the fact that a dealership that takes a long-view by providing an affiliated, quality service department, can see that translate into sales over the years. read more

We moved from Bay Area to Encinitas and have been highly disappointed. Poor customer service, no car wash after service, and a very long turn around time. read more

I like to research so looked for the vehicle everywhere. Other dealers had lower prices and more inventory online, but I figured I would give the locals first shot. Mary Ann and Rick had us onto exactly what we wanted in no time. And, it wasn't listed on anybody's inventory in all of San Diego! They guided us through the best way to get a final price far lower than all the other ads. It was quick. They were pleasant and kept our best interests a priority. I have to say, it was the best car buying experience I've ever had. read more

The service department pays their mechanics more than some doctors and lawyers. Over $230 in labor to replace a MAF sensor on a 2012 Ford Escape 2.5L 4-cylinder. This procedure would take someone with little to no mechanical knowledge less than half an hour to perform. A mechanically savvy person would probably need 15 minutes to complete this task... 5 minutes to disconnect the battery, replace the MAF sensor, and reconnect the battery then another 10 to start the engine, drive the car down the street, and allow the computer to recalibrate its mixture ratios. Fifteen minutes, folks. $230 in labor. I know few doctors who get paid at that rate. The service representative was very courteous and seemed to know his job well so I know I can't blame him, but the business as a whole is just plain unfair with their pricing. I have an F150 with over 130,000 miles that I love to death but will NEVER take it to someone who thinks their labor is worth $920/hour. read more

Took in a new-to-us 2011 Ford F-150 that we had recently bought at another dealership to have a towing brake controller added, and have extra keys made. Dropped off at service right before they opened, intending to use the night key drop, but Duke came out and helped us, so there weren't any questions. Everything was done well, and it was ready when promised. Great job, and thanks Duke! read more

I recommend Andy (very sweet, patient and was not a sleazy car salesman) I felt very good about my purchase and I am very happy. Could not have had a better car buying experience... and at my age I've had a lot of them. Late on a Sunday I pulled in as Allen Kessler was lowering the American flag and folding it up... I asked hey are you guys still open..? Sure he said we've got 45 minutes until closing..! Real cheerful and real helpful. Most salesmen are mentally out the door at that time of day but not Allen. We located the exact truck that I wanted.. OK that was pure luck but I was stoked.. We agreed on a super deal on a 2018 F-150 XL and unbelievable financing in those 45 minutes. I came back the next day to finish up with Allen and Lindsay in finance. I never felt pressure to buy or to get extras that I didn't want or need. They had never shipped a vehicle to Hawaii before but we arranged it together in no time over the phone and they know how to do it now. I could never have found this perfect model and deal in my home state and feel very fortunate to have driven on this lot when I did. I kind of consider Allen a friend now as he was so courteous and friendly from start to finish. Can't recommend enough from my end..!! read more

So buying a car at a dealership can be stressful and dealers can seem pushy. Exact opposite from the moment I stepped foot on the lot here. No one bothered me immediately and I was able to find the Expedition I found online. When I was ready to speak with someone Shane was there to ask if I needed help. He was very informative and the exact opposite of a pushy salesman. I could tell immediately he wanted to work with me not try to force sell me. After our test drive we sat in his office, crunched numbers and he understood no decision was to be made until my wife showed up. He could tell I wasn't happy with the trade in value they offered and was completely honest from the start. He even went online to show me what people were selling the same cars for online as a private party. He did everything he could to make me feel comfortable. He was great with my wife and even better with my kids (takes patience). The team here did all they could to make us happy with the cost, trade in and service agreement. I ended up trading in my car and drove off the lot with that feeling inside you hope to have when you make a large purchase. Kevin was great with the paperwork, efficient and my son was able to "sign" some papers too. I would recommend this dealership to anyone. Went back today with a brake light issue (1 out of 5 bulbs were out) and they fixed it in 30 minutes and replaced all 5. Thank you Encinitas Ford for all you did and the great experience! This is what buying a car should feel like. read more

I went in tonight thinking I might get turned down for financing, and drove off with a three year old car under 25,000 miles for the bottom of my price range. Nate was insanely patient with me, let me drive three different cars including one I LOVED but couldn't afford, talked me through financing options, figured out a way for me to drive off the lot tonight. I've been without a car for a bit, so this is huge to me and he couldn't have made the process easier. Lindsay is also amazing, super fun and informative and REAL.
