This is for the service department. Went here because of the good reviews, but my experience was terrible! Very poor communication between leadership, employees, and customers! I called many times just to make the appointment and explain what I needed, but no one took notes or kept track of it. Got hung up on various times by male employees who got annoyed by a woman speaking directly. I even wrote it down the service I needed when I left the keys for after-hours drop off so there would be no confusion. I had been quoted a price by an employee before drop off and wrote it down on the paper too, and then the manager called and said he didn't know about the quote and tried to charge me around $300 more, wanting me to prove the quote instead of asking his employee and then mansplaining to me how car repairs work... seriously? He knew nothing about any of the other calls and explanations I had given and started reading aloud to me what I wrote down on the paper! (I don't have memory problems!) Super mansplaining sexist dudes work here, especially in management. Later the manager said they found a different, very serious problem that would cost over $1,000 to fix. I declined and got a second opinion. Paid less than $400 at the other place and was given honest answers. Never again will I go to Encinitas Ford. read more

A few days after posting my first review, I received a call from Scott Cook, the general manager. He wanted to hear more about my experience and also to apologize. He acknowledged they made several mistakes and should have done a better job. He wanted to make it up to me by getting the recall done ASAP (surprise! They had the part in stock and didn't need to inspect my car first!) and they would come pick my car up, give me a loaner car and bring my car back washed. So we agreed to have it done the following week. They showed up a little later than agreed upon to get my car, but did leave a loaner car for me, and did bring the car back clean in the early afternoon. Everyone I interacted with was very polite. I am pleased I was able to get the recall done with minimal hassle to me. My question now is: will they be able to deliver decent service during my future visits? I don't expect this level of service again, but if they could at least manage the basics (not hanging up on customers, not giving out incorrect information, not leaving you waiting a long time when you have an appointment, etc) then I will be happy to return. read more

It's been a really long time since I bought a car at a dealership and the experience I had at Encinitas Ford couldn't have been better. The salesman, Allen, was so wonderful to work with and had all the info I needed to be assured that I made the right purchase. It was a comfortable experience the whole time and he went the extra mile for sure. I love my car and will definitely return the next time I'm buying another one! read more

This dealership is the BEST!!! My father was looking at buying a new Ford Escape. He had visited another dealership closer to home and was given a price. I knew he could get a better price by searching online. I signed up for TrueCar and couldn't be happier. Michelle contacted me from their internet sales department and introduced my father and I to Richard. After a brief conversation about what we really wanted for my father Richard was on top of it. He called me back a few minutes later with an out the door (OTD) price that blew the other dealership away by over $5k without a trade in. Needless to say we were overjoyed with our decision to go with a smaller family owned dealership. Everyone there made us feel comfortable with their "no pressure" sales approach. It was refreshing to deal with a salesman that was smarmy. Although I was contacted by a few other dealerships the up front no bull approach that Richard has makes car buying fun read more

Rigo is the Bomb!! He was very concerned about my vehicle problem. He knew that I took my vehicle to several other places until I finally had no idea of what to do. The noise my car made was very upsetting as my vehicle I bought new in 2014. I took my 2014 Ford Escape to Encinitas Ford and was so Grateful to how well everyone treated me and it meant even more when I realized Rigo, the Service Manager continued to get to the bottom of the vehicle problem. The same mechanic stayed on the job trying to locate the problem. Rigo needed my vehicle again as he had a couple more things that they wanted to check. He provided me with a rental. He called me each day with an update. Two days later he called with good news!! They found the problem!! My vehicle is like new again!! I can't thank Rigo and his team for all the thoughtful consideration and his customer service excellence!! Awesome!! Thank you Rigo and his team!! It really meant a lot to me!!! read more

We drove from Huntington Beach to get what we wanted and Danny couldn't of been more helpful. He was honest and very willing to answer questions and describe the vehicle before we committed to the drive. Well, we drove away in our new Expedition. I wouldn't hesitate to approach Fanny next time we need a vehicle. read more

My wife and I just finished buying used car and the entire experience was wonderful! My sales associate Eric Beilowitz was a godsend. He answered all our questions with Zero pressure. When we asked for an out the door price, he gave it to me, which greatly eased my mind. When I purchased the car Eric got us through the paperwork in record time. Thank you Eric Beilowitz for your honesty, integrity, and helpfulness! We love the car! , read more

Daughter took 18 edge into this dealer for a full syn oil change. $90 later they left us with 1 quart short. When we brought it in to show them 2 days later , they refused to acknowledge it. Standing there, pulling the dipstick out, the level is barely to the first dot -- should be at 2nd. "It's fine, maam"... So we had to spend $10 for the other quart. Absolutely will be the end of our business there. read more

Terrible customer service! Purchased a platinum Ford Explorer a couple years ago. They suggested I purchase all new tires which I did this past year. Scheduled my car service appointment at 2pm and it takes approximately 15 minutes for anyone to even notice I'm there until I knock on a window. Please keep in mind there are 5 services managers present? They inform me there's a fee for tire rotation? Wha? I paid more than enough for the tires and haven't heard of any tire company charging for rotations. Never once have they cleaned my car after service which was promised after purchasing it. Always an excuse saying they don't have enough employees to clean cars? The services managers aren't the frIendliest. Will never purchase a Ford. Ever. Again. read more

I brought my car in to have the transmission tested. It took about a month for them to just run the test, in which they also lost my car key in the process and I had to bring them my spare key. It took another 3 months for parts to be delivered and installed. Though I'm grateful Ford provided a loaner vehicle during this 4 month period, there was a serious lack of communication and updates from our service representative. When I finally got my car back this week, I was very disappointed to receive it dirty and filled with trash from the team that was working on it (lottery scratchers, soda cans, and food wrappers), in addition to the layer of dust and pollen covering the interior of the car like the windows had been left open the whole time they had it. I will not be returning to this Ford location, and I'm hoping this doesn't speak to all Ford Service departments. read more

Where is the Integrity of this dealership? What happened to "treating every customer like they are the ONLY customer because we (you Encinitas Ford) would want to be treated" Or your slogan "We don't sell, we satisfy". My trucks been in the service department for over 30 days, It is clear and evident that Encinitas Ford has a lack of strategic clarity, unjust accountability system, poor organizational governance, and weak cross-functional collaboration. I came in today for clarification on our issue and unfortunately all you did was give me clarity on the fact that Encinitas Ford is only misleading on information and then are quick to "fire the customer" versus be honest and resolve the problem itself. Even the other Ford dealer I moved my truck too is dismayed about the unethical behavior displayed at encinitas ford. This Service department is awful and no resolutions. I pulled my vehicle out and took it a different Ford dealer. Will never give or suggest this dealer for purchase or service. Truly sad they can't even be honest about the mileage. Also cleared codes without fixing anything, had vehicle for over 30 days then came forward and admitted to failing us as customers and admitted to lying about service productivity Luckily I have pictures and documentation. Would give zero stars if able. Beware of their shady shenanigans! Sad since I've been loyal Customer for years. read more

When things aren't going your way it's awesome to run into someone that helps you get going again, literally. Steve, the Parts & Service Manager for Encinitas Ford was working the Service Island by himself, covering for the regular service manager crew while they were on lunch. This guy was handling everyone that came in like they were the only customer, polite, knowledgeable and a problem solver as the part in needed for my F150 was not available. Steve had a work around and went above and beyond to get me going again! It was really nice to have someone that good to be so kind and caring for his customers. We need more Steve's in the world! Great Service with the Team , special thanks to Sam and Mary Ann for following up with me, We originally wanted a white ford energi fusion but the one that was on the lot does the job. So far its been a week and I have not went to the gas station and been up to encinitas down to santee and even to temecula and back. Its an amazing car. Also big shout out to Doug in the finance department for keeping the process smooth. Its great to see Jack , I use to work at North County Ford as their IT guy and saw him working for the Encinitas Ford after i picked up my car. Overall the family owned atmosphere makes the experience very casual and no pressure buying experience. read more

Encinitas Ford - Loving the Pilot. - Car Dealers Near Me - Encinitas, California

buying my car from here was great. Everything since has been a nightmare. In 3 years my expeditions been to the service department 5 times. Every time I have to make sure I'm getting treated fairly and they're abiding by my warranty. I have 4 kids and they never provide me with a suitable rental car. The woman who's grandfather opened the Ford way back is the one who told me (when I bought it) how they like to treat everyone like family blah blah blah... but when it comes to actually helping a family, they don't. Their service department is always backed up, wont ever be honest about timelines, cost etc and are very rude. won't buy another car from here again. One time I dropped it off while I was pregnant with 3 kids and had two car seats and a stroller and it was raining, they suggested I walk up the hill to the enterprise to get my rental car. when I asked for my kids and I to have a ride they got mad at me and were annoyed that i had to install and uninstall my kids car seats in their car to drive me up. No one offered to help me or carry anything. absolutely despicable behavior coming from "men" read more

Emailed through Cars.com on a specific Ford Fusion Energi. Austin Webb responded in a few minutes and made arrangements to go see the car. Easy, no pressure, very friendly. This is an excellent Ford dealership with emphasis on customer service and building a quality relationship with their customer. I've had my F150 serviced at Encinitas Ford the last three years and I've never had a problem. They provide good communication and follow up service to make sure you're completely satisfied. Recently I decided to purchase my end of lease option and Encinitas Ford made the transaction very efficient and hassle free. Sales rep Allen assisted with the purchase and went above and beyond to get the recall fixes squeezed in on a busy Saturday so that I did not have to return a second time to have the work performed--I greatly appreciated this effort. Doug in the finance department made an extra effort to secure a loan for me. Doug walked me through all my options and extended warranty plans without a hint of any pressure. It was a real pleasure working with Doug, Allen and the staff at Encinitas Ford. When I'm ready for a new Ford purchase, I know immediately the dealership I'm heading to and that is Encinitas Ford! read more

Over the last month I've been in the market to purchase a new vehicle. I was in the market for Ford van and I've gone to so many dealerships I walked out of North county Ford in vista upset at the dishonest games they play . I should've read their yelp reviews before going. I was almost was thinking of going to the Mercedes dealership and just buying a van from them. I decided to try Encinitas Ford as a last shot effort because I really wanted a Ford . I'm really glad I did this was the best experience I've had purchasing a vehicle. Jack Silverwood was my salesman and did a great job. I would definitely recommend him in the future as well as Kevin Burns was awesome in the finance department everyone on the team worked really hard to get me a good deal . I would definitely recommend coming here first read more

I was hesitant about car shopping and put this chore off for a long time. I'm glad I finally bit the bullet and did it. My experience was great. My husband and I bought a truck a few weeks ago at Encinitas ford. We had the most pleasant and low pressure car shopping experience of our adult lives. In fact after checking out a few others dealers for used trucks( we wound up going with a new one) we were excited to bring our business back Allen Kessler who helped us over the course of the few days it took us to decide. The difference between our experience here and at the other dealerships we looked at was night and day. They were committed to helping us get the right car in our budget, being very transparent along the way, whereas we felt other dealerships played the let me go ask my sales manager game. 100% recommend. read more

Downloaded Yelp just to give these people a bad review: Very very very disappointed. I took my car here to get my hand break fixed and to check why my sound system (stock) wasn't working. There was TERRIBLE customer service, treating me like I wasn't worth their time. I made an appointment a week in advance and still waited 20 minutes before someone helped me and you could hardly call what they did help. When I gor the car back it was all messed up. The stereo was screwed up to the point that it was visably askew and the plastic around the handbrake wasnt even in place. It seems as if they think I'm too stupid to notice. Paid them 400 dollars to screw up my car. read more

My Ford Focus electric, still under warranty with 17k miles, completely shut down and lost power with no warning in the middle of the intersection of Melrose and Rancho Santa Fe. AAA towed it to Encinitas Ford on 9/30. Encinitas Ford took several weeks to even diagnose the issue. Parts were ordered and finally arrived 12/3 and we were told work would be finished 12/15. We were out of town for the holidays so called to pick it up on 12/29 and were told it is still not repaired and no end date in sight. It's been over 90 days at this point. We bought an electric to be able to power it for free off of our home's solar panels. For several weeks we did have a loaner from Ford, but it was a gas powered car and has cost us several hundred dollars in fuel expense. Also still paying for registration and insurance on a car Encinitas Ford has had in their possession for three months. Ford won't do anything to compensate us for this. I'm not happy. This is our second and last car we will buy from Encinitas Ford. read more

I had a great experience recently buying my new 2021 Ford Edge at the Encinitas dealership. Not only am I thrilled with my purchase, but I was really pleased with the whole team at Ford. Excellent family-owned dealership. I genuinely felt like I was talking to friends about buying a car, rather than being "sold" a car. Kevin Sale reached out to me after I posted an inquiry, and while other dealerships did the same, he seemed to make it more like he was nurturing my interest and showed me plenty of options prior to even arriving. Even over the phone, he was welcoming, outgoing, and allowed to arrive whenever it suited me. He made it truly a no-pressure experience. Truly the definition of a fun, professional who enjoys his job, making people happy. Doug in the finance department was very thorough and transparent in his business practice. He offered great advice and excellent help the entire way through, checking in with me in the days to follow. As a CSR, a Sales Rep, and a business manager simultaneously for over 20 years- the experience was a breath of fresh air. I travelled past 3 other Ford dealerships and 35 mins away to purchase my vehicle here. I have to say that if you do the same, you will not regret it. read more

We couldn't be any more happy with our experience at Ford Encinitas. Family owned and operated and you can tell. Danny K., our sales guy, was absolutely amazing! The team at Encinitas Ford is TOP NOTCH. I was in the market for a new vehicle and actually was not wanting to go with Ford due to the problems I've had with my focus...But after stopping by to just take a look at what the newer models had to offer I was hooked. From start to finish everyone was professional and kind! A big Thank you Maryann and Nate for putting up with me during my indecisive time. Lindsey in finance for being so cool and showing me all my options at the end. She's straight forward and honest which I appreciate! It took me about a week to pull the trigger but after shopping around dealing with other dealerships...I knew that the car for me was at Encinitas. My partner and I were in the market for a van. After going to a couple dealerships, we narrowed it down to which van we liked. After that, it was finding the dealership that had the right one. We found the right one at two dealerships in north county but ultimately purchased at Ford Encinitas. The salesman, Eric, was awesome. We never felt pressured and felt that there was total transparency. The head of the finance department was really helpful and super transparent as well. We felt comfortable the entire time which has not been our experience in the past at other places. 10/10 recommend the purchase process at this dealership, with Eric especially. Thanks for helping us find the right vehicle. read more
