Best egg rolls in the area!
Daisy E.

I'm not sure if there is a new chef or if they just stepped it up a notch BUT THE FOOD IS AMAZING!! It tastes a little different but in a fresh, new and tasty way. It's still my favorite shrimp/beef and broccoli but better. Egg rolls are the best in town, Rangoon is to die for, duck sauce is the most delicious I've ever tasted and the lo mein today way the best I've ever had from there! The fact that they deliver is EVERYTHING!!! So excited for our next order!

Pupu platter for 1, is amazing. The house fried rice is also incredibly delicious, unfortunately I don't have a picture of it.

The food here is amazing. We had the wonton soup, which had tons of flavor. The poo, poo platter for one, and the house fried rice. All truly spectacular. The food here is always delicious.

Simple and right to the point.

All you can eat It seems all boofays seem to have one particular item that they do really well and with Empire Wok it's definitely the veggies. Lots of crisp and fresh things that actually seduce you to eat something healthy. The rest of the boofay is decent with the usual Asian American boofay stuff. You get to choose and try a bunch of different things without some employee hovering over you. The staff were around but let people partake in their gluttony without being intrusive. The building is a bit dated and plain but people don't go to boofays for the décor. A nice place to get a whole lot of different food at a very inexpensive price.

Alaskan Roll and Empire Wok Roll

The food was surprisingly very delicious. Especially the crab rangoon. I had ordered the Alaskan Roll and the Empire Wok Roll and both were good in texture and taste. However the Empire Wok roll was little too mushy on the outside. I don't know if it was just that a waited a little while before eating? The only issue I had was we got there around 9:30 and were seated straight away. When we ordered drinks and were ready to order food we were told they were only ordering for take-out now. Wtf? Alright so we ordered for take-out and sat outside on the plastic picnic table. We got sodas from the gas station next store. Over all the food was good, but service was mediocre.

Great place for some dirt cheap alcohol poisoning. I heard they might serve food too.

Waterfront Mary's - Soggy Fries

This restaurant (aka watering hole) is located on a beautiful spot on Lake Webster at the northern…read moreend of the main pond. It has a two start Yelp rating, but on this glorious, sunny, April day I was hungry and I cruised over to one of their docks and grabbed a table on their deck. They were playing some classic rock, at a reasonable volume level. At night, they can turn up the volume. My waitress quickly took my order, a Cheeseburger with the fixings on the side, and French Fries. They have a beautiful view of the lake, and offer both sun and shade from their tables. The deck offers only metal stools, sturdy yes, comfortable, not especially. A short ten minutes or so later, my Cheeseburger and Fries arrived. My initial reaction was that the burger looked good, thick, with two slices of American cheese, and not overcooked. The French Fries however, looked wet and soggy. Sure enough, I picked one up, and it was cool, soaked, and sad. Were the French Fries crying? I'm not sure, but eating them would make me cry. Conversely, the burger was great, hot, tasty and cooked nicely. My waitress was excellent, she stopped by took away the fries and removed them from the bill. She was friendly and prompt throughout my lunch. So, good service, good burger, great view and terrible fries. Overall three stars on this visit.

We went out back to get water view seats on their back porch since inside was so uninviting. After we sat down, we were engulfed by the stench of pot smoke pot emanating from a customer and her daughter. To be honest, I think it was the mother as she was the one that was loud, embarrassing and laughing like a drunk teenage girl. The menu offered only appetizer types of food, so we opted for nachos because they were "out" of our two other choices. The place looked rundown and dingy both inside and out and seemingly barely making it. Outside had not seen paint in years! I did not dare use the bathroom. Our nachos came out with hardly any cheese and what was there was not melted once you moved a chip. The chili on top of the nachos was just a tomato sauce with some beans in it. The waitress was nice so we just picked at our nachos barely touching them. I usually send gross food back but I just wanted to get away from the stench. This place is truly an embarrassment and needs a severe makover of both the building and the food. What a shame this waterfront property is such a dump with lousy food. I guess if you are only serving beer to bikers and crap food to stoners it found its niche.

Anya - 1/2 pound lobster special

The space is gorgeous, the vibe is elevated without being stuffy, and on most nights the service really shines. It's the kind of place you want to love. But our Easter brunch left me feeling more "hmm" than "wow." We opted for the 7‑course holiday tasting, which sounded festive and ambitious, but the execution didn't quite match the promise. Courses arrived beautifully plated, but several felt more conceptual than flavorful, and the pacing never fully found its rhythm. For the price point and the occasion, I was hoping for a bit more sparkle -- something that made the meal feel truly celebratory, as well as plentiful. The kids' options were another miss. While I appreciate that Anya aims for an elevated dining experience, the selections didn't feel particularly kid‑friendly. When you're trying to keep little ones happy through a long, multi‑course brunch, having approachable, familiar choices goes a long way. Here, the offerings felt more like scaled‑down adult dishes than something designed with kids in mind. That said, the staff was warm, the atmosphere was lovely, and there were moments where the meal hinted at what Anya does best. There's clearly talent in the kitchen and pride in the presentation -- it just didn't fully land this time. Overall, a beautiful spot with potential for a standout holiday experience, but our Easter brunch fell somewhere in the middle. Cheers

We ordered: * Brie Tart: pastry, blackberry, thyme, walnuts, honey, dressed micro green. $18 * Stuffed Gulf Shrimp: mirepoix, bell pepper & breadcrumb stuffing, potato puree, spinach, lemon, lobster sauce. $44 * Duck a l 'Orange: crispy seared breast, grand mariner & orange reduction, roasted fennel, parsnip puree, blackberry. $42 Ice water and two glasses of wine found their way to our table quickly, the service was excellent throughout our meal. Delicious warm rolls with tasty, salted butter arrived soon after. We were dining early so our view was quiet and beautiful. We also able to score a table in the shade, there is limited shade available outside. Yhe tart was good, though I think a warm version would be better. The shrimp were nicely cooked and very tasty and I thought the stuffing was delicious. My co-diner was less impressed with the stuffing, though overall I think this was a well executed dish. Unfortunately, the Crispy Duck a l 'Orange was anything but, the duck skin was soggy and the duck a little too rare. A rare miss, pardon the pun, for Anya's. I don't like to return a dish during dinner, as it disrupts the flow. So, I ate the duck which wasn't bad, but a premium price does infer the food is going to be properly prepared. That said, we will certainly return!

It feels like something from a vintage movie. If only they would turn the heat on ... they keep it super cold inside in the winter, so much so that we had to wear our jackets while we ate and deal with runny noses. How much could heat cost? The food here is very average. You won't hate your meal, but you also probably won't love it. The fried rice is bland and you can certainly tell it isn't made fresh as all the ingredients seem to be old and reheated several times. The lunch specials are pretty complicated to order ... you pick your special, then you pick a side from a list and then you pick one other side. Customization is cool ... but it gets confusing. The staff here is very aloof. They are never there when you need them ... they have all the personality of a block of ice ... and seem mildly annoyed if you ask for anything. (extra hot mustard ... a refill on water ... substitutions in your order, etc.) I understand that there is a pretty significant language barrier with most, but it comes across more as rudeness and apathy than a language understanding issue. The best dish I've ever had here was the shrimp in house sauce. Everything else is on par with most Chinese restaurants post-pandemic ... the quality and portion size is down, while the prices are up. It's not bad snack food ... or lunch food ... but I am not sure if I could eat here as a full meal and leave feeling satisfied. In the area, there are not too many choices for Chinese food. There is Yummi in Dudley, which is as bad at is gets lately. There is Empire Wok in Dudley, which is about as clean as a men's room at a Patriots game. And Kahlua in Southbridge which is a bit hood. Overall, this is the spot I'd choose if I was in the Dudley/Southbridge area and looking to grab Chinese food. Shrinkflation is real here.
