First time, I tried calling them and their mailbox was full. A couple days later I used their quote estimate on their site, and called again. The second time I received a call back and got to texting. I texted the next day asking if they were available, and decided to drive to the Merrifield location. The friendliness of the service is not what is in question or how quickly they can schedule you! My problem is with how much wind noise there is with how it was installed. I called for it to be reset and the technician refused saying that if there is no water leaking on then it's set fine. This is the loudest windshield I've ever had installed and over the last 7 years being a black car driver I've had over 10 installed. I would not recommend this company! And the price was not cheap either!! read more

Great service. Great price. Great people. I had a huge crack on my windshield from flying debris (you never know on I-95) and it was continuously getting bigger. After doing some research, I found Empire Auto Glass. I called for a quote and they gave me a great price; and I was able to make an appointment to come in the same day (luckily the glass for my car was in stock)! I waited for about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Generally it takes about 45 minutes, but the technician discussed with me that the previous replacement wasn't done properly and they wanted to make sure everything was perfect and safe for the new windshield. Mosaic area is about a 10 minute walk from the shop, so it was easy to pass the time. Carlos and Sean were great! I had replace my VAN windscreen replace from them, They came and replace it and add few red tapes on screen and roof of the VAN. After 24 hours when I remove the tape, it cause damage to my roof paint. I called them next day, no contact phone was going on VM. After three day Wednesday I got contact which customer service and the lady gave me phone number to send all pictures of damage. Two day no reply from that number or any contact. Saturday I call them again and customer service lady told me, one from phone # ending on 0606 will call you. I received the call and I explain the issue. The guy told me that my car perviously painted (Which is not, I am the only owner) so that's why paint get damage. I keep explaining him that my car never painted, its the tape which damage the roof. I told him that if this is the way to solve the issue I will call my credit card company and file a claim. The guy which is (Owner) loose his temperament and used abusive words and racist words against me. He called me "you are F***ing Indian" and he knows where I live and he will come and F**K me up. I have report the issue to Police department. The guy (owner) is so lier he told Police officer that he did not threaten me. I have audio recording when he called me with racist words. Matter in not car, matter is the owner does not respect customers and plus he is a racist mind. who call his customer over complain "you f***ing Indian, or anything else". I would like to mention the owner "Shame on you" to calling people with their race, color or religion. if being a customer I m not happy with your service, you should respect customer, and I have right to complain. I would request to people who read this, Please make sure you don't feed to a racist person. "DO NOT GIVE HIM BUSINESS". Got my windshield installed last week guys didn't even say that I shouldn't be driving the car for 6 hours to let mold set in so I drove it home windshield ended up vibrating and cracking itself due to bad install and the rubber seal flew off on one side while driving on the highway. Do not go here I'd rather have used safe lite at this point and paid the extra 20-50$ for them to do it. If there was a trophy for the worst service and business this place would win FIRST PLACE. After reading some of their one star reviews I feel like I am not the only person who experienced their horrible, unprofessional service. It, also seems like it's the same guy who is rude to everyone who left the one star reviews. Here is my story. I had messaged them through yelp and I came to find out that the picture on yelp is an image pulled of line and not even any of their personnel. I had provided them the make, model and year of the vehicle and also was specific when I told them it was a sliding door and the glass on the right of the door. The tech shows up, (keep in mind I had to take off work to meet these guys) has the wrong type of glass and tells me the office will call me to reschedule. Office didn't call, I had to call them. When I call (Sawn) answers the phone and I start to explain my situation in a frustrated way, and he yells and tells me to stop yelling...? What the, when was I yelling!? But anyway, he got all rude instead of taking responsibility for their error and apologizing for my inconvenience, but no. After I asked for his name and he did not want to provide his name to me. After I mentioned of leaving a bad review on yelp his tone changed he even provided me with a discount of forty dollars. A little advice for someone like that, if your business made a mistake don't get aggressive or confrontational with the customer, it wasn't my error it was yours. Here is the best part. I told Shawn that they needed to make my appointment the next day before 12 because my son had an appointment at 12. Shawn didn't make the tech aware of that and tech showed up at 1155am. I had to drop my son at his appointment leave and come meet this guy. When it came time to pay the tech had no knowledge of the price change and I had to call the office to have them clarify that information with the tech. Wow! How do they run a business like this? Seem to be on my side for the whole process and he genuinely cared. Empire is tucked behind the Sub Shop. Paid almost half of what these other joes quoted me and I was in and out in 40 minutes. I recently had a spider chip in my glass AGAIN!!!‍( dump truck on 95). Also my husband windshield needed to be replaced. Only this time My Tech Auto Glass was temporarily unavailable. However, Sean recommended Empire Auto Glass. I thought that I wouldn't need a replacement bc it was so tiny. Wrong!!! The tech that came out to our home (Sean-different one) explained that even though he can fix the chip it can spread during the process or later on with the erratic weather. A small pebble hit my windshield and it originally left a tiny crack on my windshield. After about a month and a half later, we started getting like 0-20 degree weather so the tiny crack turned into a crack that went across the whole windshield. That's when I started calling around to get an estimate on how much it would be to replace my whole windshield and Empire Auto Glass had the best price. I called about 7 other places in the Fairfax area. When I originally called in for the estimate, I told the owner that I had no sensors on my windshield and that it's just a plain/basic windshield. I drove up to the shop and Sean noticed right away that I had a sensor on my windshield and he didn't have the right one in stock and asked me if I wanted to wait and stay for him to pick up the correct one from the Maryland or if I could come back in the next morning. I chose to come in the next morning and get it fixed. Sean fixed it quickly (only took 40-45 minutes) to get my whole windshield replaced and it looks PERFECT! After calling around for quotes, I drove to Empire Auto Glass to repair a chip in my windshield. Even though I was not able to get my windshield repaired here, I'm reviewing Empire Auto Glass for their honesty. They looked at the chip yet brought to my attention that I had a bigger issue in that I had a crack under the rearview mirror. I had my windshield replaced by another company two years ago, and apparently, not well. They recommended that I not repair the chip and that I go back to my insurance company to get the windshield replaced. They will try to get your business by texting and calling multiple times. I was busy so I called them the next day and decide to go with them because they're the cheapest around my area. Made an appointment and 30 minutes later, it was a no show so I called. They said they have been calling me and I wasn't picking up. Before this, I picked up ONE call after 2 rings and somebody hung up so I thought it was a misdial so I thought it was nothing. No voicemail and no text from them. They told me on the phone they had the Pilkington Glass replacement part number I requested in stock. Not true. When I got there for installation they had a different Pilkington windshield. At first, the owner said to me, "This windshield is different than your's, it's solar and your windshield is not. The new one is better, the tint on the top is darker", and then later, "It's the same thing." [as the part you requested]. I was born at night. But not last night. Since then, I researched this with Pilkington,Glass, USA, the owner was wrong. All Pilkington windshields manufactured since 2001 are solar. Also, Pilkington told me the rear view mirror bracket on windshield Empire tried to sell me would not fit the rear view mirror on my vehicle. Old school shady automative retailer. A waste of time. Also tried to sell the insurance company new moldings that did not need to be replaced. read more
