When I called to inquire, I was immediately speaking with someone who was able to offer me at-home replacement the very next day, and for almost half the cost of safelite! There are few sounds which elicit the visceral response as the dull "thud" of a rock/pebble/road debris striking a windshield. So I'm minding my own business cruising down I-66 (all within the legally mandated speed limits, of course) when the reverberation caused by a small object against my windshield causes my body to temporarily snap back to attention. I'm actually kind of surprised I've been able to escape thus far without damage to my vehicle with all the increased construction occurring on area roads. When I reach my destination, I inspect the damage and immediately notice the point of impact on the passenger's side and the seemingly tiny crater (about the size of a dime) is now starting to "spider web" out with the tentacles of the crack extending to the diameter of a quarter. Thankfully, my handy Yelp app located Vitta Auto Glass, as these folks did a wonderful job of repairing the damage caused by the road debris. I called the number listed and had to wait two days to schedule a visit from one of their mobile technicians; also bonus that these guys will come to your residence and/or business to make any necessary repairs or windshield replacements. On the date of the appointment, the technician called me ahead of time to indicate his ETA and suggested the best place to park my car to do the work (in the shade is preferable and of course, away from any moisture or rain). When the tech arrived, I identified the crack on my windshield and he even did another inspection and pointed out some other smaller cracks which I had not noticed before. These other cracks were hardly noticeable, but I appreciated that the Vitta Tech offered the option to replace the windshield outright for about $200, versus the $50 I was going to pay to have my crack repaired. As this is an older model Nissan, I opted just to pay the $50 to have the crack repaired. The entire process took about 20-25 minutes. The tech used a clear high strength resin to fill the crack, used an ultra-violet light to cure and dry the sealant, and then cleaned the entire windshield with a microfiber cloth. The tech also practiced good COVID-19 safety protocols by wearing a mask and gloves while doing the work, which I appreciated. After the repairs, if you look hard enough it is easy to tell that this portion of the windshield had a crack filled, but it's not noticeable enough to affect safely operating the vehicle. So I'm satisfied with the results. I highly recommend Vitta Auto Glass and super bonus in that the tech mentioned if I decide to replace my windshield within a year of the repair, I can apply the $50 towards the purchase/labor of the new unit. I called on a Thursday to schedule an appointment for the following day and forwarded my info and shared that I was flexible on Friday. I had quoted a few sources and Vitta had the best price for a windshield replacement. I normally am a believer you get what you pay for but the reviews and the price together made it seem like a bargain. Ultimately, the windshield was installed and it seems okay. There are a few bad things that happened with ranging levels of severity. Here's the list: 1. My appointment was for Saturday between 12-2. The window tech arrived at 2pm Tuesday. Luckily I randomly ended up working from home that day. 2. As he was working on the car, he was resting the plastic pieces he was removing on the actual hood of the car (unprotected). That just seemed very unprofessional. 3. When he was cleaning the window with the window cleaner, he was resting it on my paint. Not sure if there are any OCD paint people, but that already is a huge no. To make matters worse, the chemical being used wasn't in a plastic spray bottle, it was a metal can. Metal can resting on paint... yeah, for sure some scratches were left behind. Luckily this was my daily driver so I wasn't super pressed, if this was on my other car I would have really lost my sh*t. 4. When I finally got in the car, I noticed mud on my seats. The guy was propping himself up by standing on my seat with dirty ass shoes without the decency to even clean the seat. 5. This is a super small detail that I otherwise wouldn't bring up but it just further reflects the lack of attention to detail. Fingerprints were left on the inside of the windshield which was just annoying. To sum it all up, attention to detail isn't something I can use to describe Vitta. I had high hopes from the reviews. To be fair, I contacted the owner after it happened. He was very nice and apologetic, offered to pay for any damages that may have occurred. Other than disappointment and my time, there wasn't really any price I could quote him. A discount on the bill would've been nice, but whatever. I won't be using Vitta again. -- Updating to 3*. Owner called back apologizing and reimbursed me 50% of the cost which was a nice gesture. He also informed me that he has been making changes within his staff for the better to make sure something like this never happens again. I like that he took responsibility and initiative to fix this. I'd be willing to give them another chance. read more

Champs! They came right away and beat all the prices around and were professional and efficient. Story goes while I was teaching a new driver the zen of driving he mixed up the brake with the gas and drove mach 6 into an ancient oak tree. Luckily we were only a few feet away from the offending tree but my windshield was smashed. A good mechanic who Jedi fixed the car said Vitta Auto Glass was the way to go - and the good mechanic was right! They beat all the prices in the area, came to the mechanic's shop and right in the parking lot efficiently elegantly fixed my windshield. I was very pleased. On way back down to Virginia several months later an 18 wheeler threw a rock and destroyed my windshield - again I called Vita Auto Glass and I drove straight to their shop and like magic they had a new windshield installed easy breezy. When my wife heard a squeak later that day - the manager drove out and met us, checked the work, and then removed part of the 16 year old Lexus windshield frame, added some material and my wife is happy as can be as she heard nothing. The windshield on my Lexus SUV cracked suddenly for no apparent reason. So I naturally called my trusty dealership to see how much for new windshield....$1500. I don't think so. Read some reviews and decided to give Vitta Auto Glass a call. They took down my information and quoted me $195 to replace the windshield at my house. Even better, they arranged a Sat appt. Received a confirmation call on Fri and they showed up within the 1-hr window on Sat. Windshield was replaced quickly and professionally. They swapped out my inspection sticker and removed my EZ-Pass transponder as well. Can't say enough about the service. Highly recommend them if you need something done with your windshield. I went with them after reading some negative reviews about Safelite. The one thing I didn't know was they accept cash or credit card only. Credit card will cost you an additional $10. I happened to have cash so it didn't affect me but I could see some being surprised and annoyed with the service charge for credit cards. Drove my vehicle for the first time today and it happened to rain -- no issues, even the rain sensing wipers worked perfectly! read more

Based on the reviews here, I went with Vitta after i received a chip in my windshield while crossing the Memorial Bridge back into Virginia. Not a bad service, but not 5-star... perhaps they had an off day. I called to make an appointment at 10:45am and hurried home from work for my 4:15pm appointment. At 4:30pm, with no call and no sign of the Vitta guy, I called again and got the same man (young guy, strong Spanish-inflected accent, called me 'my friend') who said he was in the area and would be there soon, maybe 25 or 30 minutes. An hour later, I called again and asked if there had been some mix-up because I'd called twice already. He said he was on his way. So I went downstairs to meet him (just before 5:45pm) and he was already at my car in front of my building. He informed me that the crack/chip might be too big so he had to call his friend with the 'bigger machine' to try to patch it up. We waited an additional 15 minutes and another truck pulled up. His buddy hopped out, they chatted in Spanish while I looked on, and in less than 10 minutes it was all patched up and good to go. Total cost: $80. Last time I had damage to a windshield I had to replace it and that was almost ten years ago, so I have no idea if this is a good price or not. I didn't have a lot going on today, so the wait was not a major inconvenience, but I think when you make an appointment with a client and you're going to be late, you should definitely call. Not only that, but I was surprised that a full-service windshield repair truck wouldn't have the right equipment to handle my minor chip/crack (smaller than a nickel). We had a small crack in our windshield on older Honda Pilot and dealer recommended a company last year to replace the windshield. I called several times and the company told me they couldn't find a replacement windshield and would have to order one. A year later, the crack was getting longer... and I found Vitta on Yelp. I called them and received a very competitive quote. I asked when they could do the installation. They had the windshield in stock and replaced it for us the very next day. They removed the old windshield, repaired an area that was rusting and then placed the new windshield in. The replacement fixed two issues I was having: cracking sounds from the windshield and a leak causing water to pool on the drivers side foot well. I called Vitta to repair a shattered side view mirror (passenger side) on my Honda Civic. I had already spoken with the dealership, who quoted $140 for the job. Other local shops were unable to find the replacement mirror, and could only quote replacement of the entire mirror casing, not the mirror only. Vitta quoted $70 for the replacement, which included coming to me to do the work that same day. The work took just about 20 minutes, and the person who came out was very nice, efficient and thorough with clean-up. Note that they take cash or check only, I don't believe they accept credit cards. I had a crack in my windshield and called Vitta Auto Glass to perform the replacement. The technician, Henry, who is also the owner of the company, arrived within a couple of hours to replace the glass. Upon his completion of the work I made a quick inspection of my truck and noticed that he had not only damaged the top side of the dash board but scratched the paint on the exterior A-pillar as well. When I noticed the damage and pointed it out to Henry he claimed that the damage must have already been there. My truck is brand new and the gouges that are now in the dash board are so close to the wind shield that is very apparent it could only have been caused by Vitta Auto Glass (I can barely reach the gouges with my finger tips). I told Henry that I could live with the small scratch in the exterior paint, but that I was not happy with the damaged dash board. After some back and forth with Henry and being very upset about the situation he continued to deny responsibility and even went on to say that I must not pay attention to my own truck and that it is my responsibility to take care of it. I find his unwillingness to admit fault for damage that was clearly caused by Vitta Auto Glass highly unprofessional and further take insult to his stating that I am responsible for it. Even though they offered the best price for the job I would not recommend Vitta Auto Glass to anybody. I guess you get what you pay for. read more
