These are the best Colombian empanadas in New York, hands down. The reason it takes ten minutes for your order to come out is that everything is done fresh here. Everybody knows the spinach & ricotta empanadas are killer. The white flour empanadas are really good, I don't care for corn empanadas, but a lot of people like them. Amazing empanadas! You can get flour, corn or organic flour empanadas, with tons of fillings. Everything is delicious. The restaurant is TINY, two tables with about 7 seats total. It doesn't help that my friend J. enables me by suggesting we come back almost every week. I would have given this place 5 stars but the reason it's a 3 star review is because of the rude girl taking our order. Customer service has never really been this places thing. I really like the empanadas. My girlfriend got the jalapeno and cheese which was really, really good. It was kind of spicy but had good taste. I had 2 chicharron's in corn but I was really disappointed. The taste was very bland and not impressive. The nutella was amazing and the plantain and cheese were so good and probably the best thing they have on their menu. Parking here is horrible so expect to walk to come here but it is good. I've been coming here for years. I definitely recommend the flour over the corn empanadas. read more

The empanadas were great. There are no complaints of the food, and in fact they are very tasty which is why we frequent the establishment. What is not great is the service. The service is inconsistent, at times unreliable, and the staff are unprofessional and underprepared. Walk-in takeout requests sometimes result in incorrect orders, and the catered orders have been hours late or staff did not follow directions (vegetarian were not separated from meat, as requested). The food is delicious and they should keep trying to get their staff up to speed with customer service and professionalism, but unfortunately this last mistake was enough discontinue catering from this restaurant again. read more
