Our server was excellent, being very attentive, engaging and willing to partake in our good humor. For dinner, I had the Andouille Crusted Fish with a side of crawfish. The fish was tender and flaky, and the beurre blanc and chive aioli sauce added a delicate yet rich flavor. The side of crawfish, unfortunately, was a bit bland. In hindsight, I would have added it directly to the dish in order to benefit from the sauce. My husband had the Rock Shrimp & Scallop Risotto, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The seafood broth mixed with Italian cheese created a creamy and lightly sweet risotto, the smaller sized scallops were juicy and the fried shrimp had a nice crispy coating outside and succulent inside. For dessert we had the Creme Brulee & Blueberry Upside-Down Financier. Both were brilliant. Mildly sweet, velvety and satisfying. The perfect way to end the evening's meal.

My wife and I visited Tableau last week expecting an upscale dining experience based on the…read moreatmosphere and presentation of the restaurant. Unfortunately, our experience didn't live up to those expectations. The service was particularly disappointing, especially considering how empty the restaurant was. After taking our drink orders, our server didn't check back with us until we were nearly finished with our meal. What made this more noticeable was watching the tables around us receive regular attention throughout the evening. At one point, someone who appeared to be a manager came to our table, abruptly dropped off a bag containing a loaf of bread, and walked away without saying anything or providing plates. The bread was cold, despite appearing to have been toasted at some point, and we were left cutting it directly on the bag while crumbs went everywhere. The same manager also bumped into the back of my chair several times throughout the evening without ever acknowledging it. We also waited quite a while for our food, and during that time noticed several staff members, including the manager, on their phones. Given the lack of attention we were receiving, that was particularly frustrating. The food itself was underwhelming and the portions were unnecessarily large. Neither of us finished our meals, and by the end of dinner, we weren't interested in staying for dessert. We simply wanted to leave. Tableau certainly looks the part of an upscale restaurant, but our experience didn't match the setting. When you're paying for what is presented as a higher-end dining experience, the details and level of service matter. Unfortunately, those details were missing throughout our visit. There are too many great restaurants in the area for us to choose Tableau again. This was definitely not the white-tablecloth experience we expected.

Mine were lukewarm by the time I ate them because I was waiting for my co-worker to get his order, but they were still very good. The andouille sausage was tender and flavorful. Potato Soup (9/10): My co-worker said it was really good, and it certainly looked good to me. It was creamy and loaded with bacon. Service (5/10): Not good. Our server was sweet and friendly, but unfortunately, the service itself wasn't very good. I almost wondered if she was new to serving. My co-worker and I both ordered sweet tea, but when she brought the drinks, she only brought one. I eventually had to track her down and remind her about the second drink. Then, when we tasted the tea, we discovered it was unsweetened and had to request sugar packets. After my food arrived, we waited about 10 minutes for my co-worker's order before finally asking about it. He had only ordered a bowl of soup, so we weren't expecting such a long delay. The biggest issue, though, was the bill. I ordered the red beans and rice ($13), my co-worker ordered a bowl of potato soup, and we each had one "sweet" tea. We split the bill, and my portion alone was $23. I can't imagine his bowl of soup cost significantly more than my $13 entrée, so I'm still not sure how the total got that high. Unfortunately, we had meetings to get back to and didn't have time to question the bill. In hindsight, I wish we had. Ambiance (9/10): Bright, clean, and pleasant. I really like the high ceilings, furnishings and artwork. The space feels open and inviting. I also appreciate that it's within walking distance of the office, literally right across the street, which makes it a very convenient lunch option.

A Seafood Spot We Keep Coming Back To!…read more My husband, my daughter, and I have been going to Boil Seafood House for the past few months, and so far, we've really enjoyed every visit. It's definitely become a place we keep coming back to. We usually get the seafood boil with snow crab legs, and this time we went with the medium heat and butter garlic flavor. Everything was really good and full of flavor. My husband and I got the potatoes as our sides, while my daughter got the boiled eggs. We also ordered a side of French fries to share, and let me just say... we ate those so fast that I completely forgot to take a picture! They were good! I also like the whole seafood boil experience here. They offer you a bib and gloves if you want them, which definitely comes in handy when you're getting into those crab legs. The service has been good every time we've visited, and the atmosphere is always lively. One of the coolest things happened after we had finished eating. Someone came around offering little samples for people to try, and they stopped by our table and asked if we wanted to try the soft-shell shrimp. I'm not sure if it's something new on the menu or just something they were serving as a sample, but we said yes -- and I'm so glad we did! That shrimp was delicious! It literally melted in my mouth. I'm usually not a big fan of eating anything with the shell still on, but this was so good that I didn't even mind it. Definitely not what I expected, and it was probably one of my favorite little surprises of the visit. I didn't take a ton of pictures this time, but I'll share the few that I did get. So far, Boil Seafood House has been a winner for us, and since we've enjoyed every visit, We'll be back again for another seafood boil!

Unfortunately, the customer service was a completely different experience. When I walked in and said I was there to pick up an order, the man and woman behind the bar looked at me strangely, whispered to each other, and then asked for my name. After confirming it, the gentleman only told me the total. No greeting, no smile, and I wasn't asked if I wanted to order a drink or anything else. When the woman handed me my food, I asked if I could have some ketchup. She responded with an attitude, saying, "There's some in the bag." I thanked her and left. When I got back to my work van, I opened the bag and found there was only one packet of ketchup. The food was excellent, but the service left me feeling very unwelcome. Based on how I was treated, I couldn't help but feel like I was being judged differently because of my ethnicity. I can't say for certain that was the reason, but that's honestly how the interaction made me feel. I hope management takes customer service seriously because everyone deserves to feel welcomed and treated with respect.

I want to go back & give her the biggest hug and kiss on the cheek! It is ridiculous how flavorful everything was! Just didn't make any sense! Lol lol I've sent this location to everyone I know that travels to New Orleans. The price is great, and the portions are very healthy! This restaurant in California would be almost double what your bill is going to be. There was three people at the table & we ordered four appetizers..... So much good food to eat, but this is by far the best restaurant I've ever been to in New Orleans!
