But it didn't jut start with the delivery it started well before that where Nancy and her incredible team took us ALL by our hands and our hearts and lead us through this incredible journey. They answered every single question to the fullest, included the siblings in the process.. letting them take and listen the babies heart beats at home, was there when questions arose for a phone call, always showed and praised my daughter in what an incredible momma she is and how great she is doing. I have had three babies with Emergence Midwifery and cherish all 3 experiences! I've never felt so cared for emotionally and physically from a provider before and love how all of the midwives pour themselves into all of their clients. I knew I wanted a homebirth for my fourth baby. When I found out I was pregnant, I immediately called Emergence. I had met midwife Caitlyn at another birth (I'm a birth photographer) and loved her gentleness. I learned that midwife Nancy could also prescribe meds (which I desperately needed for hyperemesis gravidarum) and all three midwives could do vitamin IV's! All from the comfort of my home. I really appreciated the home visits because I was so sick that I couldn't make it out of bed most days. Midwife Kayla made me a tuna fish sandwich during her visit once. Unfortunately, right on the cusp of the 2nd trimester, I miscarried our baby boy. Midwife Nancy had made SO many phone calls for me after we discovered there was no heartbeat. We were looking into transferring care to a hospital just in case things went south. All of the midwives answered a million questions and gave me information so that I could make the best choices for my tiny baby's birth. He was born, and I started losing a lot of blood so Midwife Caitlyn came and did all she could for me while I was on the verge of passing out. She even drove behind us as we traveled to the hospital and called ahead. All three comforted me and reached out in the weeks and months after. Even when I was angry and vented, they continued to reach out. Where to begin! I loved every step with Emergence! They are all wonderful people! This is the prenatal care and birth experience I wish everyone could have. I felt like friends were taking care of me and my baby. They definitely had such knowledge and gave us amazing options and education throughout helping us to feel prepared and safe! Such a difference and positive experience for me compared to my past births at hospitals and in the military. Past healthcare experiences left me with white coat syndrome, so much so that my first baby was induced early because of my blood pressure at their office but it was normal at home and the rest of the time. But I am so happy to say that the loving care that I received through Emergence it was completely gone! The first few visits it was slightly elevated but as I got to know them and see how they truly cared about me it completely went away! By the end I felt like my friends were coming to check on me and baby and we were so sad to not have visit's anymore! It was so nice to be at home and not worry about going to appointments and birth with my other kids. Made the whole experience much more easy and enjoyable! Plus my kids loved getting to help check on baby and be so involved. It truly made the entire process easier, so much more enjoyable, and will be a cherished memory now! When my husband suggested we go the midwife route, I was a little hesitant because I didn't know much about it. I read up, learned, and decided that this would be the right decision for us. I cannot thank the Lord, powers that be, call it what you want, that we found Nancy! She was professional, phenomenal, and so beyond anything I could have ever expected a health professional to be. She pours her heart into every moment that she spends with you. Nancy was loving, caring, attentive, and the list can go on. A better health professional and human being in this industry I have yet to meet. It would be my dearest wish if she could be a pediatrician and a general doctor to our family. Shortly after having my son, we were surprised to find out I was pregnant again. This time I finally convinced my husband on a home birth. We found out the midwife (Kayla) who assisted in our sons birth center birth was now doing home births with Emergence. We applied for a consultation & crossed our fingers they were accepting new clients. Within the first 10 minutes of the consultation with Nancy, I text my husband and said "They're it, sign the contract when you get home from work!" Lucky for us, not only did we get to work with the amazing Kayla but we also got to work with Caitlyn. Them together is the ultimate powerhouse duo! Do yourself a favor and talk to Nancy. I am so glad Nancy was there to walk me through my pregnancy and birth. She is so real, relatable, kind and knowledgeable. Nancy is an exquisite human being and an amazing midwife. She was the midwife for both the birth of our son and daughter and each experience was so totally different and Nancy helped us navigate each birth feeling more empowered than we had before the birth. As I write this I am six weeks postpartum snuggling my sweet baby boy. It is difficult to put into words how much Emergence Midwifery means to our family. Caitlyn has been at my side for 5 of my births now and has the most calming and confident presence. You of course get pregnancy care, birth, and six weeks of postpartum support but what you actually receive is so much more than that. Even a year later, they are still there for me. We heard of Emergence very early in pregnancy but they were understandably booked once we decided homebirth was for us. We tried finding others but nothing felt right, Nancy reached back out and they had space for us! To say it was life changing would be an understatement! The type of care Emergence provided my family and I was unmatched. They actually care about your needs and treat you as family. Their visits are in home and an hour long each, they take the time to get to know you and honor your needs. They even included my toddler in the appointments. I was always so excited for my visits. The birth itself was amazing with them there. I felt so protected and cared for in such a vulnerable time. These women are truly made for this and they are true gifts from God. I can't even begin to express how much I love Emergence Midwifery! All care received in the comfort of my home. No invasive checks, unless you personally request them. Emergence shows you a different kind of love. They truly care for all the families as a whole and are so adaptive to every circumstance. While we didn't get the home birth we planned, as we had an unexpected transfer to the hospital, we still had a midwife with us and were able to still rely on them for comfort and support in the hospital setting.
