We cannot say enough great things about Ashley! She was everything that we each hoped we could get from hiring a doula, and so much more. We hired Ashley for the birth of my second child, when I was attempting an unmedicated VBAC after a horrendous experience with my first birth. I knew I wanted labor support for this birth, but honestly hiring a doula was a little "crunchy" and outside of our realm of comfort. From the first meeting with Ashley I could tell that I was completely wrong! Ashley was so real and down to earth, and made us both feel completely at ease and prepared for our TOLAC and hopeful VBAC. During actual labor, Ashley came when I told her I needed her, and helped me to do relax through contractions and do some exercise to try to turn my posterior baby. We labored at home with her help for as long as possible, and when I felt "pushy" she got us to the hospital and into a room ready to have a baby! Her coaching through early labor, transition, and especially pushing was instrumental to my successful VBAC. She was amazing at addressing my fears during labor and made sure I was informed and felt completely in control the whole time, as well as kept my husband calm and helped him to be involved with helping me. After the experience we had, I would 100% recommend Ashley to everyone I know, and would have her by my side for all future births.  Thank you so much for our healing experience Ashley!! read more

I wanted a natural birth and Ashley helped me get it! I wouldn't have done it without her help! She had many techniques to help me get thru the pain and also tips for my husband to help during labor and delivery. She made herself 24/7 available whenever I had questions since this was my first birth. She's very compassionate, caring, genuine and understanding to what you want. If I had to do it again I would hire her again in a heartbeat! If you're reading this, hire her...you won't regret it! read more

If you're looking for a Doula look no further. Ashley is your gal. From the moment we met Ashley we knew we had found our match. Her energy and passion for her profession shined through her action through out the entire process. There was never a moment we second guessed our decision to work with her. Dads!!!!!! You need a Doula. Every time I saw a new coupe walk through the halls without a doula I cried a little for them. Ashley is a rock for both you and your wife. She will help as much as needed or as little as possible. I was very involved in my wife's birth and there was never a moment I felt weird about having another person in the room to help us through this journey. Ashley maintained professionalism and brought a calmness to our experience. I can hands down say she's the best! She's worth every dollar and some. read more

My first birth involved medical complications and was a bit traumatic for me and baby. Recovery was difficult and I had trouble bonding with my son. During my second pregnancy I knew I needed something different. I chose Lovebug Doula care by the recommendation of my OB, and it was the best decision I've ever made. I was fortunate enough to have Ashley AND Kate at my birth. I don't even know how to begin to describe how amazing they are. I was in early labor for quite some time, and Ashley was with me every step of the way by phone advising me on what to do. Somehow she just knew what I needed and when, even without being there in person. When Ashley and Kate got to my house they were a Godsend. They immediately relaxed me and got me in the right mindset for labor. They guided my husband in the process so he could be an integral part of the process. Both Kate and Ashley were so much fun. I didn't expect to laugh so much during labor, but they made it such an enjoyable process. At the same time they knew when to get serious and became so calming when I needed it. They were so knowledgeable that they were able to tell me exactly what to expect next as each stage of labor progressed, and as we made the transition from home to the hospital. There is no way I could have accomplished my desired birth experience without them, and I couldn't have asked for 2 more amazing, empowering women to share such an intimate experience with. My husband and I will be forever grateful for both Kate and Ashley. read more

This review is a long time coming. I meant to write this shortly after our son was born, however, I was caught up in the early fog of sleepless motherhood and the words I wrote early on never seemed to showcase how I really felt about our experience with Ashley and LoveBug Doula. When I wrote this review I wanted to convey just how much Ashley Wain meant to my husband and I and the success of the birth of our son. I met Ashley at an event when I was about six months pregnant and I had read about doulas online previous to meeting her. As a natural lifestyle advocate, the idea definitely intrigued me even though I'd planned a hospital birth due to placenta complications. Going into my pregnancy I knew I wanted it to be as intervention free and medication free as possible I just didn't know how I was going to get there - as I am someone who is anxiety prone and who feels has a low pain tolerance. I put my faith in God that He would get me there to achieve my birthing goals and it was an exceptional blessing that he led my husband and I to meeting Ashley. When I first met her she made me feel so comfortable and I felt like I had known her for years. I knew that if we went the route of hiring a Doula it would have to be her. Her spots were filling up quickly so I had my husband come in and speak with her right away, and again, everything in me was telling me that I needed to hire her and so I went home that night and my husband and I actually talked about it at length for a few days. We ended up deciding to make her a part of our birthing team and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't believe that that was the best decision I made for our birth. The care that she gave to us, the way that she spoke life into me for 29 hours during a painful an all natural birth, the patience and strength within her and the way she supported not only me and my son, but my husband and my hospital team, solidified over and over again, hour after hour, that she was meant to be there. If you are considering a Doula but are skeptical or have reservations know that we did too. It was a leap of faith that we took and I believe with everything in me that I would not have had the birth experience that I had and I would not have been able to labor as long as I did naturally had it not been for Ashley's professional coaching, friendly disposition and overall knowledge of the birth process. I cannot say enough good things about this amazing woman and the talents that she has. If I am so blessed to have anymore babies I will do everything in my power to be able to have Ashley on my team again. read more

How can I put into words the amazing experience I had during birth with Ashley as my doula. This was my first birth and first experience with using a doula for my labor and delivery. I was looking for a doula who could be supportive of my decisions during labor, but also someone who could help me make informed decisions. After meeting Ashley at our initial visit, I knew our personalities would mesh well together throughout this journey. Ashley was there with encouraging words throughout my pregnancy and was available to answer questions or provide resources. This was the same as I progressed into labor. Ashley was there as soon as I or my husband called. She encouraged me and validated me every step of the way. She was a shoulder to lean on or cry on throughout labor and continued to support the decisions I made as labor progressed. I was in labor for 35 hours and Ashley was there for me the entire time, not leaving my side once we called her to meet us at the hospital. I will be forever grateful to this amazing women for all that she provided and would highly recommend her to anyone considering the use of a labor doula. We also used Ashley for her placenta encapsulation services as well as her all natural product line. The "V" Spray is amazing for healing and the "Gnarly Nips" cream really does the trick. Please, please, please if you are considering the use of a doula look up Ashley and give her a call, you will not be disappointed. I know for a fact we would make use of her services in the future if and when we become pregnant again. read more

So happy i had Ashley there with me during my labor with my baby girl back in december!! My obgyn's office had her listed on their homepage, and my ob absolutely loved working with her! She is very knowledgeable and approachable, and made a lot of my worries about pregnancy into excitement about meeting my daughter. When i went into labor at night, she was there along my side at my home, coaching me through each painful contraction, until we were ready to go to the hospital. At the hospital, she eased my anxiety even more by communicating my birth plan with the medical team, allowing me to focus on my contractions. I ended up having to get a c-section despite my goal of an unmedicated borth, but i am so proud of how far i had gotten without any medication, and i know without a doubt that i wouldnt have been able to do it without Ashleys guidance for all those hours! A few days after i got out of the hospital she visited me at my home to check up on me, and she brought me my encapsulated placenta. She has been extremely easy to talk to and accessible, and i feel very fortunate to have been able to book her for my daughters birth, i would definitely recommend her for anyone with anxieties about labor, whether natural or medicated. There is so much to the process of giving birth, and she is the person who makes sense of it all and ensures that you keep your focus on what matters. read more

As a first time mother I did not know what to expect with whole labor process and had a lot of anxiety about it initially. Kate was not only a wealth of knowledge but extremely caring and reassuring throughout the entire process. She is easy going when needed yet gives firm advice and coaching as well. My labor plan did not go as I had hoped as ended up having to be induced due to water breaking early on with little dilation, and was unable to get through early labor at home as I had hoped due to other complications. I was not mentally prepared for the intensity and pain of laboring with pictocin being amped up every hour, and towards the end was in an extreme amount of pain. After being at the hospital for 4 hours or so, we called Kate and she was there at 2 in the morning by our side coaching us through the painful contractions and trying to keep me calm. My husband is amazing and was a rock for me as well, but let me tell you I was very happy when Kate showed up! She was extremely helpful in guiding me through breathing, various positions and other pain management techniques including massage and this made a huge difference as I had an extreme amount of back pain and muscles spasms throughout. She was able to take me through 6-7 hours of hard labor when I finally ended up having to have an epidural with a smooth transition to the end of labor to follow, and only 30-45 minutes of pushing. I feel going into the pushing process I was completely calm and felt 100% more confident with the tips Kate had given me and her presence by my side. Would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a doula. Totally worth every dollar spent! Thanks Kate for everything, we will never forget our experience with you! read more

Where to begin... Ashley was our coach, mentor, helper, teacher, motivator, voice of calm, and friend. We honestly do not know what we would have done without her. She was responsive and positive throughout the entire process and provided us with the most unbelievable amount of support during that challenging time. Having Ashley there for us was easily one of the best decisions we made! She was invaluable with her experience, contacts, and info. But most impressive was her altruistic nature... We cannot thank her enough - she is simply the best! read more

I usually don't write reviews but couldn't keep this to myself. I highly recommend Lovebug Doula and Ashley for my first experience as a new mom! She helped me discover new products like her Prenatal and Postpartum Survival Kit. This kit is seriously my life saver - I use everything in it. I plan on ordering this kit for all my expecting friends. I also recommend Ashley if you're encapsulating your placenta. I was concerned about milk supply since I've seen my siblings struggle. Not only is this a nonissue, my baby is less than 2 weeks old and we get to enjoy nursing and our bonding time. I am so grateful I stumbled upon Lovebug at Mom Made Market this year. read more

Ashley was so wonderful to work with! We met her through a free labor and delivery class at Babies R Us. She was very personable and really cared about our experience as new parents. Although we did not use her doula services, she showed support and care for us as we used the Love Bug services for Placenta Encapsulation! read more

I am so very lucky to have meet Ashley when I attended a labor an delivery class at baby r us as I was 38 weeks pregnant. I took her advice when she said to help get baby into position make sure to walk an open up my hips. I had purchased nipple cream an vaginal spray before delivery and 3 days later decided on the placenta encapsulation. I had my son 39 weeks an 5 days. When we had him Ashley was amazing I text an she came over 3 hours after I had him for the placenta and once we got home 2 days later she had delivered everything to me. Things have gone very well never did I imagine that I would do such a thing but am so grateful that I did an have met Ashley. I look forward to the next child. read more

For some people, the choice of hiring a doula is optional. However, I knew it was instrumental in assisting me with the labor my heart desired; an un-medicated natural birth. Although I deeply wished for a home birth, my husband was not entirely comfortable with the idea for many reasons. Upon meeting Ashley, we both felt extremely comfortable with her presence and knowledge. She spoke to the medical professional side of my husband and possessed all the knowledge of natural pain management I was seeking. I was very confident that I would be able to achieve the labor and birth I wanted while in a hospital setting with her support. After 2 days of prodromal labor and once the beginning of labor begun Ashley was critical to us as a couple. She helped coach my husband, support me physically and with her extensive list of contacts was able to help when I required some additional assistance via acupuncture to stimulate contractions. She was the steady presence we needed. Upon arriving at the hospital, it was so reassuring that Ashley seemed to know everyone and had a great rapport with the staff. During labor she suggested different techniques to maximize the effectiveness of my contractions and I contribute her coaching to speeding up my labor and ultimately delivering within 3 hours of arriving. Her words of encouragement got me through the pushing stage with little effort. I am so thankful we chose to have Ashley present with us during this special moment in our lives. She was the helpful, caring and encouraging presence we needed. Although this was my second labor, it was nothing like my first and if I am ever blessed again with a third child I would request Ashley be a part of my team without hesitation. Few things in life can you say with absolute certainty and hiring a doula is one you will never regret! read more

Ashley was amazing and I don't know how I would have endured active labor without her, especially during the 10 minutes of pushing that caught me completely off guard. She knew exactly what to do at every turn: back massages, hot water on my back, cool towels on my head. I can't explain how she knew exactly what I needed but somehow she did on a level that was so intuitive it's scary. I never once felt loss of control because I had her words and guidance there to help me. Her support from the first day I met her has been invaluable and that was in my first trimester. I keep telling everyone, "My doula had my baby." Because she really did! There was one line that she said that I can't even remember, but it made me harness every last ounce of strength to finally get my baby out into the world, without any medication, just how I wanted. I definitely want Ashley to "have my babies" in the future. The awesome experience I was able to have with her help is probably the only thing that could even get me thinking about going through that journey again this soon. Thank you for everything, LoveBug Doula Care & Natural Essentials read more

Ashley Wain with LoveBug was an absolute dream to work with. She was incredibly knowledgeable and sweet during the entire process, and the fact that she takes pictures during the process is an added bonus. My labor was a little complicated and she knew just how to handle the situation and how to talk to me. I will never have another child without Ashley in my corner. thanks so much ash! read more

I met Ashley through a web search of doulas 3 yrs ago. My husband and I just Loved her for the birth of our second son. So when we got pregnant a third time we knew we wanted to use her services again. Only this time we used her business partner Kate. Kate has a really outgoing personality. She is super friendly and wants to know what you want in a doula and what type of things help you when you are in pain. She wants to get to know you and your partner and she also goes over expectations. When it came time for the delivery, Kate was there however we wanted her. Given that this was our third child, we weren't strangers to how quickly things would progress with my labors. Kate helped me relax during labor by using warm water. She was patient, calm and my cheerleader. She knew how important it was for us to give birth naturally and she had a few techniques that really helped with the labor pains. When all was said and done, and my third son arrived she used this technique to help him latch on his own. It was incredible and such s bonding experience!! Once again, Lovebug Doulas was amazing!! We can't speak high enough of Kate or Ashley! read more

I signed up for Yelp because Ashley's this good!(This is coming from a Dude!) Review from a Dad of 2 now: Words cannot describe how blessed we as a family are to have met and used Ashley/LoveBug's skills/services for our 2nd child given the potential chaos we could have had if we decided to juggle baby #2 on our own with no outside assistance up until birth. I'm a Bradley Birth Coach Dad so everyone knows (if you aren't familiar then check out the Bradley Method), long and short I'm very involved with my wife's laboring and the eventual delivery. I knew what needed to be done, how to advocate for my wife to the hospital staff, how to be there both physically AND emotionally during her home laboring and the eventual trip to the hospital and into the LnD room at HonorHealth Shea Campus. Wifey and I decided though that w/ our 1st born being SUPER routine orientated and very Mama/Dada dependent and having minimal family/assistance in Gilbert we needed to have someone who could easily step in and take my place as the Coach for my wife until/if able to resume back into that role. So we started looking and reading up on Doulas that struck as potential matches we'd be interested in meeting and possibly utilizing. Spoiler alert! We kept coming back to Ashley's profile more and more and just immediately felt an awesome potential... So in our first meeting it was a very casual meet and greet where Ashley wanted to know WHAT WE WANTED AND HOW WE WANTED IT DONE! This was music to our ears, something that immediately told us both that we had chosen the right Doula for our 2nd child. She was very clear with me as a husband that she was never there to muscle me out, out coach, out talk, etc etc. She was my tag team partner in all aspects going in and knew that I needed a wing woman in the event I had to stay home w/ our 1st while my wife went to the hospital w/ Ashley to begin the delivery process. Fast forward to our 2nd meeting, everything was clicking and firing on all cylinders which just solidified our decision to pick her. She has her own line of essential type creams, applications, tinctures, etc etc.. And look I am not going to schmooze, up sell, or BS anyone.. Plain and simple: BUY THEM! They are fantastic items and I/My wife both love using them on our 2nd son as opposed to the over the counter alternatives. We fortunately were able to secure family to help w/ our 1st born so I could drive to the hospital. Ashley was right behind us at all times, my wife was in active labor, I was driving and coaching, calling her OB and playing the 30 questions of "we're the after hours call center monkeys who won't call your doc until you pass us", and trying to ensure we didn't get pulled over by AZ DPS for probably nearly leaving a flame trail on the Loop 202 to the 101 to Shea. Ashley was a rock star talking w/ me, my wife, and also the hospital to ensure the L/D nursing staff was on point and they were waiting outside.. Rushed my wife upstairs, 2 pushes at most and here we are a definite 5 star review later. Look I could go on and on and on, but cliff notes time: Ashley is amazing, hire her, use her, she knows her stuff and she's EXTREMELY accommodating with everyone's needs/wants. If I could rate higher I would trust me. read more

I could never put into words how grateful I am to have had Ashley as our doula. After having a traumatic birth experience, with many medical interventions, with my first son, I knew I wanted something very different with my second baby. From the moment we met, Ashley put my mind at ease and gave me the confidence I needed to trust in my body and my ability to meet my birth goals. She was available any time to answer questions or offer reassurance. I really appreciated her expertise and knowledge about the birth process and our chosen hospital and care providers. When I did go into labor, Ashley was indispensable to us. I progressed much faster than anticipated, and I have no doubt that without her guidance, I would have begun to panic and become fearful instead of surrendering to the beautiful and natural process of birth. I was able to have the all natural birth experience I was looking for, and I owe much of that to the loving guidance that Ashley provided. What a healing experience it was. After our son was born, Ashley continued to stay in touch and check in on my recovery, baby's progress, and our family as a whole. After sharing such an incredible journey with her by my side, I truly feel like she has become a part of our family. Having a doula will change your birth experience, and Ashley is absolutely one of the best! read more

Before I met Ashley, I had no interest in hiring a doula. I didn't understand what they did and figured I would be able to handle things on my own. After meeting Ashley at a prenatal yoga class and finding out more about the benefits of using a doula for birth, I did some research and decided it was exactly what I needed! My husband and I met with Ashley as a couple and then hired her immediately. We loved her open and confident personality and sense of humor. As my due date approached and I became more nervous, Ashley and I would text and email and she gave me the encouragement I needed and resources to use to prepare for what I HOPED would be a natural delivery. The day I went into labor, I called Ashley and she was at my house within an hour. She was amazing to have at home as I hoped to avoid going to the hospital until we were very close to delivery itself. We did various poses, spent time laboring in the tub, and used calming music, essential oils, and pressure/massage techniques to get through each contraction. I was able to laugh between contractions as Ashley kept me distracted with encouraging words, humor and breathing techniques. She also helped my husband tremendously, giving him tips and guidance to be the best possible labor coach he could be. At noon that day, we finally left for the hospital. It was there that things became very intense as I dilated from a 4-8 within two hours. There were many moments when I wanted to give up and get an epidural but with Ashley's support and encouragement through each contraction I was able to stay focused and achieve my goal of a natural delivery. I was so incredibly proud of myself and know that my husband and I could never have gotten through our delivery so seamlessly without her support. Ashley is an amazing person with such a wonderful energy - she made my birth experience so incredibly positive and was the exact type of coach I needed to make it through with no interventions. My husband and I both agree that she helped us become a better team as a couple as well, giving him the support he needed to be the best husband and labor coach he could be as well. We would use Ashley again in a heartbeat!!! She is the absolute best! read more

There aren't enough words to explain how thankful I am to have had Ashley by our side during our birth. When I got pregnant a friend of mine suggested I should get a doula- I honestly didn't know what that even was. After our initial meeting with Ashley, she barely made it out the front door when my husband said, "we need her". I ended up being past my due date and Ashley was great with supporting me daily and making suggestions on things I could do. When I finally made the decision to go for induction at 41w, she helped me understand how it would work. 18 hours into induction when I lost my ability to cope with the pain, Ashley appeared like an angel and helped me with breathing through for as long as I could. And when I just couldn't anymore, she fully supported and helped me through the epidural. Moms know the end of labor is a bit of a blur, but I just focused on her voice and after 32 hours my little miracle appeared. Ashley is amazing, I really don't think I could have done it without her. read more

If you are looking for a wonderful, caring, and professional doula - look no further! In addition to finding the right doctor, hiring Ashley really was the best decision we made during the pregnancy. Not only was this my first baby but my wife was going for a vbac. I wanted to be the best husband/dad I could but it was all very new and a bit overwhelming. My wife suggested getting a doula and at first I wasn't so sure about it..but Dads out there let me tell you - having a doula (especially one as great as Ashley) was just as beneficial for me as it was for my wife. After our first meeting I had such a better understanding of our birth plan and I how I was going to be apart of it. I didn't really know what to expect and with her it all came together..it all made sense. She explained what our various options were and what I need to do to support me wife. My wife and I had so much more confidence in our goal of a successful vbac. In the days leading up to the labor Ashley was always readily available to help, and answer any questions. My wife starting going into labor very late at night and Ashley was quickly there to help guide, monitor, and coach my wife through the contractions. She helped me to help my wife so that I was apart of the process, not just waiting on the sidelines. She made me feel helpful instead of helpless. It was not easy to see my wife go through the pain but she was there to keep us both strong. She new when it was time to go the hospital and stayed with us every step of the way until the baby came (nearly 24 hours!) She pushed my wife to be as strong as she could for our baby. In the end we reached our goal of a successful vbac! We could not be happier with how it all turned out - with tremendous thanks to Ashley!! She was so prepared and generally made sure everything went as smoothly as possible! I can't stress enough how much of help she really was - I don't think I could have made it through without her! I would never go through all that again without a doula. Any dads on the fence, trust me get a doula! When you do, ask for Ashley Wain because she is amazing! You will thank me later! read more

We met Ashley early on in my pregnancy when I decided I wanted to do an unmedicated birth. My husband and I immediately felt at ease with her and decided to hire her as our doula. As my due date came and went, Ashley was always checking in on me, sending me encouraging messages and reminding me that our son would come when he was ready. When the day finally came, Ashley was there for us at 4:30am and urged us to get some more rest for the big day. I'm glad we listened to her! When our original plan to labor at home didn't go as planned, Ashley met us at the hospital very shortly after we asked her to come. And from there, I'm pretty sure she didn't leave my side! She was nothing short of amazing. She got me in the tub, walking the halls, on the yoga ball-- exactly where I needed to be for my stage in labor and for how I was feeling. She provided encouragement that wasn't over the top peppy and was firm when I needed it. She was also a huge help to my husband who was hungry, also exhausted, and probably a little in shock of all the things going on. We both agree that we wouldn't have been able to stick with our birth plan without her help. I could go on and on about Ashley but suffice to say, she was worth every cent. Especially if this is your first time and you want to try it without any meds, I urge you to consider hiring Ashley. She's an invaluable asset to have at any kind of birth. read more

I can't possibly put into words just how amazing Ashely is!! I had a terrible birth experience with my son that ended in an emergency c-section which was pretty traumatizing. I was determined to have a VBAC this go round and knew having a doula would greatly increase my chances. My husband was totally against the idea of hiring a doula but I made him meet with Ashely anyway. After meeting her he was 100% on board and knew she had to be there with us. There is no way I could of had the amazingly successful VBAC that I did if it weren't for her. She kept pushing me to make it through just one more contraction and to keep focused. She has such a calming and peaceful presence that makes you feel safe and empowered. We have nothing but amazing things to say about her and can never thank her enough for helping us achieve the birth we had hoped for! we HIGHLY recommend her - she's such an amazing doula and person in general. read more

I can't say enough positive things about Ashley! We hired her very late in my pregnancy and it was truly the best decision we could have made! This was my second pregnancy, I had my oldest daughter when I was 20 and I didn't really have an idea what I was doing for labor, I trusted my dr at the time and I ended up having a not so great birth experience that ended in a c section. I always knew I wanted to VBAC with my next pregnancy I was very determined to do so! I went through multiple drs before I found one who was supportive! Towards the end of my pregnancy I began getting very nervous and emotional as I wasn't making any progress and I felt my dreams of a vbac going away. Well in stepped Ashley, she met with my husband and I and talked to us about what a doula does and what o could expect. I immediately felt relieved, she gave me back the confidence I needed that I could have the birth I wanted! And my husband (who was not into the idea of a doula at first) felt so much more educated already after just one meeting! At almost 41 weeks I started having contractions, something I never even felt in my first pregnancy, I called Ashley and she was so excited and gave me some great tips on getting them to stick and become stronger! She stayed in touch with me the entire day checking in on me and pushing me to stay active to keep them going! Fast forward to late that night I had begun active labor, I was exhausted and not having a high pain tolerance I was a wreck! She came to my house and immediately started helping me get through them as well as helping to get them stronger and longer! I've never felt more comfort from someone I hardly knew! She also helped guide my husband to help me, which was a huge help and I know was super important to him because it made him feel needed and helpful. Ashley helped push me when I was ready to give up, she kept me strong and really focused on the birth I wanted. I truly believe if she wasn't there I never would have had such a successful VBAC. Everything about my labor and birth experience was new to me and it was truly wonderful thanks to having such an amazing doula! I would never want to go through a birth without her now!! Ashley is awesome! We first met Ashley at a free class held at BabiesRUs. At the time we did not know what a Doula's job really was but when Ashley was speaking to the class about what she does for her clients by the time we left we were so excited to find out more information on her services. I was hesitant at first because I knew i wanted to have an epidural for my birth so I wasn't sure how a Doula would fit that plan but soon after we met with Ashley and sat and talked to her and she was just so understanding and open to everything that we needed to have her by our side. This was our first child and we were nervous we were going to go into the hospital and not have a clue about what our options were. Ashley met with us later on at our home and went over some early labor activities and fun scenarios to help us get ready for the big day. Jump to the week of my due date i was still not dilating and not having any contractions so she was always checking in and suggesting things I could do to possibly get things going. I ended up going past my due date and getting induced earlier than expected due to some complications. Ashley was there at the hospital as soon as I started having contractions in the middle of the night, the entire time she had great communication with my husband and when she came she got straight to business. She dimmed the lights, played some music and helped me move into different positions, I felt like she was a huge help in working through the contractions. I ended up getting the epidural and she explained that process before it happened and helped prep my husband. Later on we chose to go ahead with the C Section and she was there in the recovery room right after (She would have been in the OR if allowed) she helped me breastfeed the baby and was just really the best support. I get emotional just thinking about it because my husband and I were just so fortunate to meet her and have her by our side for this process. I know this review is long but I could go on and on about how she supported us in such a tremendous way. We hired her late in our pregnancy and would have loved to have her guidance at the beginning, next time for sure! Thank you Ashley for all of your genuine love and support, you were a part of something so major in our lives and we will always be grateful for that. Anyone on the fence about hiring her as a Douala please do so it is well worth it! read more

Ashley was AMAZING. She is extremely knowledgable, dedicated, understanding and responsive. She was instrumental in achieving my ideal birth. Both my husband and I felt very comfortable with her right away. After a first birth experience that did not go at all as I had planned, I had a lot of anxiety about my second birth experience, but knew I wanted to do everything possible to have a natural labor. When I went into labor, Ashley arrived at our home in the middle of the night. I was able to labor at home as long as possible due to her coaching and comfort measures. She worked closely with my husband and I felt I had the most incredible support and birth team. I was able to have my baby naturally, about an hour after arriving at the hospital. Ashley held my hand, coached me and encouraged me all the way through, even when I thought I couldn't do it. We will treasure the pictures she captured in the delivery room forever. She also has many wonderful referrals and suggestions on ways to to finish up your pregnancy. Per her suggestion, I ended up going to chiropractic and getting acupuncture the last 8 weeks of my pregnancy, which I feel helped immensely in my natural birth. Overall, I cannot say enough good things about her, and could go on and on about how pleased we were with her services. I recommend her to everyone I know and would absolutely hire her again if we have another child. read more

Ashley is amazing! We met her through her "Special Delivery" class she offers at Babies R US and I'm so happy we did. My husband and I felt comfortable with Ashley right away and were so happy to have her by our side through out the whole process. By the start of my third trimester I was considered a higher risk pregnancy due to the onset of high blood pressure and I'm glad I had Ashley to help me through it. We were in touch every week going over my latest appointments and what I should be doing or what I could expect next. Around week 35 we were considering switching care providers for our birth but I was worried it was too late in the pregnancy. Ashley gave us the guidance and confidence we needed to find the right fit for us. We ended up switching providers and having an amazing, stress-free birth experience, one I'm sure we would not have had if we had stayed at the first practice. Our little guy is 2 months old now and Ashley is still checking in on us! Her level of dedication and commitment to her clients is un-match. As a first time Mom I can't imagine going through this process without a doula and if you're going to get a doula you might as well have the best! I can't recommend Ashley enough. read more

I don't think I could recommend Ashley more even if I tried! From the moment we met, I felt like I had known her forever! She made me feel so comfortable and in control of my labor, even months before my baby was born. This was my third baby and the first with a doula. I wish I could go back and use her for all three! Due to the spontaneity of births, I went into labor while she was with another client. But Ashley didn't skip a beat. She had given me the name of her back up and had her reach out to me until Ashley was able to get back to me. Michelle was fabulous (even though I woke her in the middle of the night!) and talked me through my contractions. I was fortunate enough to end up with both Ashley and Michelle at my delivery. I was calm, they talked me through the contractions and we laughed more in between than I had through out both my previous deliveries combined! I would recommend Ashley and LoveBug Doula services time and time again! I also LOVE her line of products, and still use them months postpartum. read more
