From the very start Nicole was kind and professional. During my trial session I mentioned that I have sensitive skin and she really took the time to check-in with me throughout the process to make sure I was comfortable. The quality of the products she uses are top-notch as well. Also, she takes the time to listen to what you as a bride want along with what the bridesmaids want. I wanted a soft, natural look and she was able to create it even better than I imagined! On the wedding day, Nicole and her assistant (who is also great!) arrived on-time and ready to go. And just like during the trial session, Nicole was so sweet and made sure myself and my bridesmaids were comfortable. Myself and my two bridesmaids don't usually wear makeup or style our hair, but the looks that were created lasted the entire 10 hours of my wedding in 70 degree summer weather! Overall, if I ever need hair and makeup done I will for sure contact her again. I highly recommend Nicole for any future brides' wedding and other special occasions!

She's also very warm and caring, and her salon was clean, quiet, and very relaxing. (Quite different from sitting in a chair in a noisy, crowded Sephora store). I made a commute from Seattle to Bellevue to be exactly on time. Instead of giving me any advance warning, the stylist waited until EXACTLY 1:00 PM--the minute I arrived for my appointment--to text me trying to push it to 2:00 PM. When I replied at 1:01 PM saying I was already outside, she immediately texted at 1:03 PM claiming she 'just went out to pick up lunch' and asked me to wait 20 minutes. I was incredibly patient, grabbed food next door, and came back. She then actively ghosted my texts and left me stranded for 45 minutes before I finally gave up and left. When called out, she blamed ME and claimed I was 'overreacting.' Absolute disregard for client's time, zero apology or accountability, and blatant lying. Also I don't know if this was her or not, but I caught a glimpse of someone looking out at me from inside, which makes this situation even worse if she was there the whole time. Avoid Space Salon Bellevue at all costs.

For the hundreds of dollars I spent a on a color, highlight and cut, I expected really good service. I had color all over my forehead and both cheeks. When I asked about the large circle on my forehead, I was handed a color off wipe so I could wipe the color off myself. Although the mark was more of a slight chemical burn. The stylist had completely forgot I booked a haircut until halfway through foils , so she did a quick dry cut after drying my hair before styling. I was there for about 5 hours and I left with a light shade of blonde in the back of my hair and a darker Caramel color in the front . When I got home I noticed I had some bleach bleeds in the back (she did not show me the back once) I showed photo and said I like ashy blonde and they toned me with 8G an 9NW - which means my hair was very gold/Carmel aka a tad orange. I don't mean to drag anyone in this review, but I want to be honest. There is nothing worse than spending a ton of money then go home and fix your hair, luckily in another life I worked as a hairdresser and am able to fix my hair , but not everyone can.

There are only a handful of vendors that meet these requirements, but I was so happy when I came across Christy K. When I had my trial, I could tell Christy was very knowledgable and provided excellent recommendations given that I was a very lost bride with almost no clue what direction I wanted to go for my makeup. On the day of the wedding, we had a very limited time window with 7 ladies who needed to get ready. Christy and her team not only got us ready with beautiful makeup & hair, but also finished much faster than the timeline we had previously discussed! And therefore, we had more time to do other wedding related activities. Her rates were also very reasonable. We received many compliments of how beautiful, yet natural we looked! There is one special thing I wanted to note about Christy and team. I had an outfit change from my Western bridal dress into my Chinese qipao. The makeup style for these two outfits can sometimes be very different - and if not done correctly, I wouldn't have looked as good in one or the other. However, the way Christy and her hairstylist did my hair and makeup worked perfectly with both outfits. Incredible talent! I don't always like how I look in photos and videos, but the way Christy and her team got us ready (as well as the few photo sneak previews) has me so excited for the upcoming photos and videos! I am so grateful for Christy K and team for making me look and beautiful on my wedding day!
