Here, while it's also a beauty school, has placed an emphasis on building the ambiance that many professional spa services build for clientele. There's the nature-themed furniture and plants in the lobby (maybe from Marshall's or Homegoods), quiet sounds of waves and bells in the spa area, dimmed artificial lights, good air circulation, lots of natural light coming in from the second floor, and overall just a quiet, inclusive-feeling environment. There's also the option to do the spa treatments with a wrap. When you're led to the restroom to do so, there's three restroom stalls and a larger open area to change and put your items in an open cubby. It would've been nice to have something like shower stalls to change in for privacy instead of choosing between taking a restroom stall or changing in the open. The amount of machines, devices, and spa treatment materials used was worth the price. For one of the facial treatments I got, there were LED light treatments, masks, eye coverings, steam towels, steam treatment, arm and facial massages, toner, and other services included for under $60. Both times I went, the students were well-accommodating and balanced between asking questions and keeping the quiet ambiance. There are some features I'd appreciate if they were implemented like online scheduling (can only be done through the phone or in-person), spacing out the spa tables more/having less of them (students easily bumped into other machines or had to navigate around things because of how cramped it was), and the private changing stalls as noted above. Overall, a really nice and more affordable way to treat yourselves or others as a gift. Driving in and out can be a challenge because it's situated next to a busy, major intersection.

I thought I would have my eyes covered with a slice of cucumber at the very least, but that didn't happen. Nevertheless, it was quite relaxing. I left feeling greasy after the oil blend, so would probably try another service next time. Keep in mind that they are students performing the services which means they can't receive tips by credit card. I made that mistake and didn't bring cash. Will know better by next time!

I always get the volume lashes (which is 3 lashes put on an individual real lash). She makes my lashes look full and long without looking fake. I always get compliments on my lashes and most people don't even know it's extensions. My lashes look great in pictures. My eyes never get irritated from it. The lashes look like real lashes and they curl up nicely so you don't need to curl it. My lashes still look good a month after (if you take good care of them). Booking the first appointment: I believe her site says to call. She is very busy so you'll prob always reach her voicemail. I left her a voicemail with all of my information on how I wanted to book an appointment, when I was free, which lashes I wanted, etc. She responded in a timely manner and sent me all of the information I needed to prepare for my first appointment. The consultation: She was very informative. Told me about the aftercare. Asked what I wanted my lashes to look like; first time, I got round eyes but now I do cat eyes (longer lashes on the outer part of my eyes). She has many different lash lengths to choose from and helps you choose the best length. Getting the lashes on: Does not hurt at all! You get to lay on a comfortable little bed for 1-2hours with calm music in the background. She always offers to tuck you under a blanket. Sometimes Christine chats with me, not in a way like she's just trying to get tip, she isn't overly chatty. She's super sweet. During my lash appointments, I always fall asleep and when I wake up, my lashes are beautiful! First, she puts tape on your bottom lashes. Then she applies the lashes. She always checks and rechecks to make sure she's not missing any lashes. When she's done, she fans it (to get rid of any glue fumes, so your eyes won't burn when you open them), sprays what feels like a setting spray and makes sure no lashes are stuck to your bottom lash. Then you can open your eyes to look at your lashes. Booking refill appointments: After getting them done for the first time (in 2015), she was very informative on when refills should be done or how I can just let them fall off or book an appointment to take them off. She recommends getting refills every 3-4 weeks. She never pressured me into booking a refill appointment. I always book my refills in advance because she gets booked up quick. She's always very helpful with booking; I am a full-time student so each qtr my schedule changes, I tell her what days and times I can do and she looks in her calendar and tells me all of my options. I can always set-up appointments with her via text too. The week of the refill appointment, she sends a reminder text. Getting refills: She always remembers what I like (size and shape) so I never have to remind her. I go a few minutes early and most times she takes me in early and we get started right off the bat. Tips: -ALWAYS book at least a month (if not more) in advance to get an appointment time that works for you. -Always come on time or earlier! If you come late, you're just losing out on precious minutes that could've been used to put on my lash extensions! And she has a policy that if you come a certain of minutes late, you lose out on that appointment. -if you absolutely need to cancel/reschedule, give LOTS of notice because that's just rude. I always recommend Christine to anyone looking to get their lashes done because I always walk out satisfied. People think it costs a lot but it's worth it. I've seen people pay less for lashes elsewhere and they were not happy with their lashes. Get your lashes done by Christine and you'll never want to quit!

I came in with a huge breakout over my chin and told her that it was happening due to my retinol treatment. She advised me to stop the retinol (which is the opposite of the advice I had been given since my skin is likely purging from it but will stop once it runs its course). During the treatment I never felt her cleanse my skin (which she insisted that she did) or apply serums or creams, I felt barely anything go on and only light touches from her. She never told me what she was putting on my skin. To my horror, at the end she advised that I use neosporin on my acne and do honey masks. Both of which are not advised by anything you see online. I had to rush home to wash my skin in fear that the neosporin would start to do damage immediately. She offered to have my come back for free to do extractions but I will not return, to say the least. I am sure that this woman provides adequate facials to those with normal skin but I would never advise someone with serious acne seeing her.
