One more time, Yelp Reviews save the day - I really appreciate how quickly and efficiently Emelco Electric is. I reached out on a Monday, maybe? by Thursday they were over performing the work. I needed an attic fan - he gave me some solid advice when choosing what kind. He said electric is way to go, more efficient and will work better during the winter months if needed. They came and went above and beyond in installing and creating a switch to make it more convenient if I ever want/need to turn it off. Pricing was extremely reasonable and I just felt like I was getting a team that had the knowledge and skills. Work was done in less than 2 hours! read more

Professional electrical work - thorough and detailed I hired Iraj for several electrical projects in my attic: installing lighting, a GFCI outlet, and repairing damaged cable where rodents had chewed through the sheathing. Iraj did excellent work. He was thorough and professional, spending the time needed to do the job right. For the cable repair, he properly installed multiple junction boxes, replaced the damaged sections, and even added protective blue conduit to prevent future rodent damage - a nice proactive touch I appreciated. The work appears code-compliant and well-executed. All junction boxes are properly mounted and accessible. The pricing was fair for the San Jose area and reasonable for the quality of work provided. I'm confident in the electrical safety of my attic now, which was important since I had ductwork and insulation installation scheduled right after. Everything is ready to go. Would recommend Iraj for electrical work in the South Bay area. read more

i have been using Iraj for over a decade. Their price is simply awesome and they are the only ones I call when I need something electrical installed at my home. Their quality of work is great when they cover up all the furniture and make sure its clean and tidy when leaving. read more

We used Iraj for several electrical projects in our new home, including replacing light fixtures, new outlets, and an EV charging station. He also helped with getting an existing EV charging station at a different property permitted. Iraj is very professional and responsive, comes on time, and charges a fair price. I plan to use him for all electrical work in the future. read more

Iraj is just amazing to work with. He's professional, straightforward, fast, reasonable, and very knowledgeable about electricals. Iraj and his team routed the electrical from our panel to our garage for a new heat pump water heater installation. In addition, he taught me how to fill out the electrical load calculations to pull the permit! I really appreciated his help! My parents were without hot water for over two weeks, and even though Iraj's schedule was very busy, he made time to complete his electrical work and came back to the house exactly on the day the heat pump was installed so my parents could have hot water that night. Iraj is prompt, very helpful, and has excellent communication. The project was completed fast and smoothly despite a few hurdles not related to the electrical work because he was fast, skilled at his job, and communicated well. I would definitely contact Iraj again for any electrical related work and recommend him to all my friends and family. read more

After calling Emelco to replace 3 external lights plus the front door lockset with new ones I had purchased that were totally different for my new home, they were able to arrive at my place in less than 1 hour. I witnessed their quality work all the way, and they completed all replacements quickly in about an hour. I am very impressed with their excellent service and highly recommend them for all electrical work including the wiring and installation of electric vehicle charger that they did for me in a previous service call. They are also able to take care of certain mechanical services such as vent and smoke detector relocation. I paid $350 for their labor this time which considering how quickly they arrived and completed the job is definitely worth it. Thank you Emelco for your excellent service. read more

Emelco is my go-to for any electrical work. Iraj does great work and is extremely quick.

After bad experiences with 2 other electricians, I got really lucky. Fixed my issue in 10 minutes for a great price. Definitely a great experience read more

We have been using EMELCO Electric for years. We've had recessed lighting installed throughout our entire house, a new stove top, new oven, exterior lighting, new electrical outlets and lights in all of our closets, too. I found the company on Angi and ended up working with them directly. We discussed coming early after their prior installation and they called to let me know they can show up early so they can try to get the job completed today. They were able to give good advise when they went into the attic about what they saw (we should look into cleaning the attic). They put down tarp and left everything clean afterwards. The quickly Installed two new bathroom fans. I purchased the fans at Lowes prior to install. The job was done quickly and properly. The fans have been working well since this was done a few months ago. We are happy with the work done. There was minor damage to the paint around the light switch cover they removed and one fan had an auto turnoff switch activated but the other did not. It is too minor to call them back so I will pull the fan fixture out to turn on the auto turnoff option. Other than that, super happy with the work. read more

Their prices are the highest we ever paid. First day 2 men worked to reconnect wiring and installed 2 new breakers. Work time: 1hour: charge $300 (including 2 breakers replaced) Called them next day to fix GFCI receptacle which was hard to plug in: One man came and replaced the GFCI with new ones, which we supplied, which were easier to plug into, 1/2 hour work time. Charge: $200 We thought that was exorbitant. read more

Excellent service. I've used them for several years. These guys are prompt and friendly.

I overload my electric in my kitchen with too many appliances running at the same so my breaker went off but when I went to reset it did not work on several of my outlets in the kitchen & 1 outlet in the bedroom. I received a call from Iraj on monday an I schedule for them to come out today (6/28/23). They came an was done in about 1/2 hr. or less - they knew what to look for & fixed it which they replaced our breaker. I would hire them again for any of my electrical needs nice people & professional and I felt they knew exactly what to do and explained once they knew. read more

Back in August 2023, I had 2 gentlemen who visited my property and performed installation of the 240 volt outlet NEMA 14-50 50 amp and the breaker for my garage. The process didn't take more than an hour for them. They did a thorough job and used a multimeter to double check that the outlet worked. I was happy with the work that they performed. read more

Perfect electricians: responsive, fast, quality work done! I needed to replace 3 old chandeliers on our super tall 20 ft ceiling to the new ones and Iraj with his colleague did everything in 2 hours for a reasonable price. I'm so happy! Total transformation. I interviewed other electricians and nobody was that reasonable in responses and pricing as Emelco Electric. I found them through Home Depot services. They are licensed electricians, very experienced and knowledgeable. Only 2 guys with a super long ladder and a regular ladder. No scissor lift, as I learned that it will damage floors (some interviewed electricians did not know that!). I'm so glad I did a lot of research/interviews of different electricians, and was able to find the best ones! Highly recommend! read more

In trying to get a quote and an electrician to update our kitchen ceiling lights and to install our outside entry light was a nightmare. Iraj took my description of what was needed and gave me a quote over the phone. After completing the two jobs his final price was slightly higher that the phone quote but the workmanship and speed it was well worth it. Would I hire him again? The answer is yes! read more

Iraj and Amin are the best and here's why you need to hire them for your project: - Fair and accurate quotes - Professionals through and through, meaning they show up on time, keep your house clean, and clean up thoroughly after - Fast, high quality work. They are the best in town for anything related to electrical work. We hired them for recessed lighting and they did a great job. They take safety precautions and also leave the job site clean. Highly recommend them. read more

Iraj was a pleasure to work with as was his friend/helper. They came right on time without fail and were very easy to get hold of via text. They are very clean and work very carefully. They made sure we were really satisfied with the work before leaving. Even though the dust while cutting for recess lights is contained in a bowl, they still covered the entire family room with plastic and cleaned up after themselves. And in the end, their price was very reasonable compared to the others. I'll be using their service for more projects to come. Thanks Guys. read more

We worked with Iraj and Amin at Emelco Electric to ground and update nearly all of our outlets and switches at home. They took about 2 days to complete the job and were very professional. We are quite happy with the level of work and promptness they both showed in completing the job. Once I contacted Iraj, he showed up literally the same day to look at our house and share an estimate with us. He also educated us about different options we have to solve the grounding problem and the pros/cons of each one. We compared quotes across a few vendors and found Emelco's prices to be quite reasonable (not the lowest or the highest). We decided to go with them since they had a great reputation online (Yelp, Google, HomeAdvisor) and couldn't be happier about our decision. Definitely guys to call for your electrical needs! read more

I usually don't go out of my way to leave a review, but for their service I will. I had scheduled an exterior light fixture installation through Amazon on July 10th. I scheduled accordingly to the available time slots to be from 5pm-8pm on July 19th. They called me an hour before stating that they were tired and asked to reschedule. We rescheduled for July 27 (today) for the same time slot, and guess what? I got a call at 6:30pm stating that they won't make it because they're the way in Palo Alto. I had to contact Amazon to request a different Electrician since they've wasted my time. If you're going to confirm a time slot or reschedule, please make sure you follow through. read more

We ordered a ceiling fan through Amazon and Iraj and Amin were contracted to do the new ceiling fan installation. Their communication was excellent and their price was fair. They were very knowledgeable about how to install it properly. When they arrived, they had an idea about how to install it that I was on board with, but then they discovered a better option requiring no drilling into my wall. Yeah! They went above and beyond, working in my attic on a hot May afternoon to get it installed right. I highly recommend Emelco Electric. read more

These guys installed a new ceiling fan and track lights for me on a 17ft ceiling! There were several difficulties we ran into throughout this process, and they calmly helped us to overcome all of them, even when they had to return a second day to do more work because some parts had been broken. Would call these guys again and have already recommended them to neighbors. Thanks for the efficiency and hard work! read more

These guys were exactly what I needed, when I needed it! They arrived on time, as scheduled. They both wore masks and did a good job of staying at a distance. COVID safety was excellent. As for the electrical work, I needed them to repair a switch for my whole house fan. It stopped working correctly after a different company replaced my outlets with 3 pronged ones. I couldn't get ahold of THAT company (who will remain nameless)... and Emelco came to my rescue fixing the wiring that was in error to the switch. Fan works now! All this in about 15 minutes, with courteous service! Will hire again; should I need something electric done... read more

What a find! Just moved and needed someone to install 1 60" TV, 1 37" TV, and 2 19" TVs. They were terrific. Both gentlemen - Irag and Amin were terrific. Their prices was fair; they worked together like fine tuned professionals and the end product was perfect. We live in a mobile home where the walls are very thin and most companies really were uncomfortable working in a mobile home, but Irag and Amin were not. They made us feel like that was not going to be a problem. They even installed shelves (they we had bought) for our TV accessories and they looked great. We can't give more than 5 stars; even though we would like to, but hopefully by submitting this review. we can thank them. read more

Emelco Electric was terrific! We have had a long list of electrical projects around the house that we have been meaning to take care of for a couple of years. A friend referred us to Emelco Electric. We contacted the owner Iraj and were able to get an appointment pretty quickly. He gave us rough estimates over email and confirmed his prices when he came to look at the project in person. It took the team of two about a day's time to complete a long list of projects that ranged from installing a ceiling fan to swapping in new bathroom exhaust fans to troubleshooting a few outlets. All the work was performed to our high expectations. They even cleaned up afterwards. Not only were they knowledgeable and efficient, but their customer service skills are spot on. I will definitely hire them for any future electrical projects and will not hesitate to refer them to friends and family. read more

We hired Emelco electric to install recess lights and also wall mount our TV in our new house. They were extremely professional. Iraj visited the house a week before the installation. He spent around 10-15 mins to understand the layout and explain to us what will be needed for the installation. On the day of the actual work, they got all the required material and completed the work in around 4 hours. They covered the furniture with plastic sheets and ensured that everything around was clean. They even vacuumed the place after the work. The TV wall mount installation required them to create a plug point behind the TV and they did a great job. The cost to do all this was very reasonable. I would hire them again for any electrical needs at our house. read more

I was really impressed with Amin and Iraj. They were honest in their recommendations and dealings and did a great job replacing my kitchen lights to recessed LED.
