Lamb chops

Delicious meal with great service! We were given a gluten free menu and the server was very knowledgeable for GF options. The restaurant gave me vibes from the movie Elemental! We were a bachelorette party and the server treated us very well. He was very attentive and also provided local recommendations. Some of the things we ordered: hamachi & prawns for apps, lamb chops, scallops, some yummy ice cream for dessert.

Ice cream of the day... some lovely fruity thing with a nutella side.

This is a special place. Not just because it's in the magical mountains of Colorado, but because the ambiance, the service, the food wove together to make a very special dinner for a group of our friends. And then there's the artistic plating of every single dish. Truly was one of those where we had to take a moment to appreciate the beauty of the food being presented. Our waiter elegantly explained each of our dishes and what was before us... and then we got to eat!!! Every bit as good as the presentation! I'll treasure this meal as one of the very best ever. And plan on going back when we're in the mountains!

Our management team had a wonderful dinner at Ember. It is a great place for a small private dinner in their upper private room. Our server Collin was terrific, very attentive and patient with our group. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was perfect for our team. Matt was a pleasure to work with and very flexible for our accommodations.

My friend and I had a wonderful dining experience at Ember last night thanks in great part to Chase who made the reservation for us & hooked us up with an amazing table. Our server Tracy was the best. We really appreciated her detailed explanations of each dish we ordered. The chef has crafted some really unique dishes which are perfect for sharing. We loved everything about the place and highly recommend it to anyone staying in Breck.

Chef Scotty has travelled the world & his menu reflects the extraordinary choices from his travels. The menu offers lobster, risotto, cod, duck, scollops, and more but presented like you have never seen before. He belongs on a tv chef competition show. So many flavors on every plate! Beautiful presentation! You may need a dictionary to understand all the menu items but you can trust that the meal will be outstanding! Picture is of strawberry shortcake- deconstructed & Lucious.

Terrible lemon dip for chips

Disgusting. One of the worst meals of my life. Ember describes itself with words and phrases like "creative" and "poetry in food". I think they forgot that if the super creative ingredient mash up doesn't actually taste good then you shouldn't serve it. The place has a nice atmosphere. A converted house. A little dark. Service was nice enough, also. The service was somewhat slow, but there was a really large party, and at least our waitress kept us posted on the kitchen. Honestly, the food was so bad that any ding on slow service could not have brought this down any further. They are only doing a three course prix fixe menu. Appetizer, entree, and dessert. $75. I should have known that something was up when the waitress brought out some sort of flatbread/cracker. I've had this sort of thing before, but this one tasted bitter, and we discovered that Ember seemed to be using old frying oil for everything, as this theme continued with other dishes. The cracker also apparently had a sheen of oil to match the taste. It was served with some sort of dip, that my kids said tasted like lemon yoplait yogurt (it did). Like most dishes that day, if just didn't work, and I don't know why someone at Ember didn't realize that. On to appetizers. I had the Mac and cheese piquillo pepper. Utterly disgusting. I tried to eat some, and looked over at my daughter. She was not enjoying her dish either, and said "like you're eating to be polite". That's exactly what it felt like. There was a sort of salad with olives with it. Nothing good. Should have gotten the scallops, which my wife had, and which may have been the only good dish of the night. Two of my kids had the lamb tacos. The shells were more evidence of old and bitter oil, as they had the same flavor as the chips. My main was the wagyu New York strip. I'm going to list everything with it: tamari-fig potato hash . bok choy . edamame hummus . miso mushroom brown butter sauce. None of it remotely enhanced the below average steak, which had a cap of fat I've never encountered with Kobe or wagyu beef. In fact, all components were practically inedible. Looking around, no one else had it any better. The presentation was completely off putting, especially of the Brie and crepe lasagna, which looked it was the scene of a violent crime. Did I mention slow service? We had been there two hours by now, with plate after plate of disgusting food. Very big party, but they should know how to manage this. Plus I just wanted out, so we took dessert to go. I got the espresso cinnamon roll. Sounds good, right? Opened it up back home, and it looked like the inside of a diaper. One bite and we threw away the desserts. How can a place get away with something so terrible?? Who is posting positive reviews for this place?? Do not go here. Save your time, your wallet, and most of all save your palate.

Went there recently and followed the waiter suggestions. The food was fabulous. I say a party in mouth. Going to go again while I'm here.

One of my favorites in Breck!…read more Love a place with great cocktails and a great menu with clear and accurate descriptions of the preparations and dietary restrictions! Who could want more? Our server was friendly and engaging but NOT overbearing nor intrusive. She also made excellent recommendations and understood the task of ensuring dietary needs were met but something tells me that starts in kitchen, not the restaurant floor/tables. Our party of four shared three appetizers and a daily special salad before entrees. All were creative and delicious! Our entrees exceeded expectations. Two had the signature burger and loved it. Two had the trout The risotto could have used a tiny bit more flavor but for one in our party who couldn't finish it, reheated the trout and artichokes the next day for breakfast and still raved about the delightful flavors! recommend.

First, let's talk about the aesthetics! The warm, inviting interior combines rich wood tones, metal accents, and rustic-chic decor to create an atmosphere that feels both cozy and elevated. It's the perfect mountain-town dining experience. Aurum specializes in innovative New American, farm-to-table cuisine, creative cocktails, craft beer, and a wine list that's uniquely organized by music genres. Such a fun touch! HAPPY HOUR | DAILY 4-6 PM Aurum has a fantastic happy hour menu that's definitely worth checking out. Unfortunately, I missed the cutoff this visit, but there's always next time! WHAT I ORDERED: The Baby Greens & Kale Salad with added steak. Sometimes a fresh, hearty salad is exactly what you're craving, and this was my choice for the evening. THE PICKY B TAKE: Aurum continues to be one of my go-to restaurants in Breckenridge. Between the beautiful atmosphere, thoughtfully curated menu, and inviting mountain-town charm, it's a place I genuinely enjoy returning to. The winery is on one end of Main Street, and has patio seating (there was live music outside), as well as an interior tasting room. Right off the bat, we didn't think either of the people working were overly friendly, and didn't really make us feel overly welcome. We decided to do two flights of red wine - kind of insane to me that a flight was $40, thank god we had a 2 for 1 discount. The other people in my party also said they'd give the experience a 2 or 3 stars - price was unbelievably expensive (especially when you can go down the street at Carboy and do a flight for half the price). No one was impressed by the service either - for a flight, I'd expect a little more background and explanation of the wines, but the person came and dropped off beakers of all the wine with a quick explanation then left it up to us to pour our own wines. The wines themselves were nothing spectacular either, two from Colorado and two from California grapes (I think) - we liked the blend but that was about it. Unfortunately would not recommend this place to others or come back.

I came in on a Saturday night when the place was absolutely POPPIN (~11:45PM). I somehow managed to find a spot at the bar (amidst the tons of people) and all three of the gentlemen above were so kind, attentive, and speedy with their service. Ryan was very kind in letting me in and letting me know the hours for the night, Ezekiel was very attentive in getting me my first round and checking back up later, and Manny was so great in noticing I was due for a re-up and making it happen. All in all I would 10/10 recommend Gold Pan to anyone looking for a fun, lively, and affordable ($6-$8 per drink) place to come on a weekend evening. I can't speak for weekdays or afternoons but if their service those days are anything like my service tonight I would highly recommend coming out and experiencing the atmosphere.
