I had a previous manicure done at a salon in Raleigh, leaving my nails, thick and bumpy. She gently soaked off the gel manicure and tips and give me an absolutely wonderful gel manicure. I have gone to this shop off and on for years since I have lived in the area but I will not be returning after my last encounter. Yesterday 6/10/2024 around 430-5pm I entered the shop in Garner and asked for a pedicure. When I arrived there was only one other customer in the shop and 6 nail techs. When I got to the pedicure bowl I told the male tech, who I believe was unsure about the pedicure type I chose, that I also wanted dip, he said okay and proceeded to do my pedicure. While sitting there 4-5 other customers arrived and out of those 4-5 at least 3 requested pedicures and dip. When it was time to receive dip the tech told the women and they refused to do it and told him to tell me to come back the following day but completed the pedicures and dip for the 3 customers who entered the shop after me. The women are rude and the vibe I got was that they just did not want to provide the service for me particularly. The gentleman who had just completed my pedicure then told me that he does not know how to do dip and that gel was better. He also told me that it would not chip even after I explained that it does if you wash your hands or use sanitizer frequently. I ended up just getting a regular manicure, which will not last with polish but by this time it was too late to do or go anywhere else and I was going out of town the next day. I was not going to pay 20.00 extra for gel when I knew it would chip/peel in 1-3 days. The experience made me feel super uncomfortable as a customer and I will never return. read more

A friend recommended this place. I was hesitant to try since their reviews are horrible but I was pleasantly surprised when my first set of gel nails lasted and looked lovely. Then I noticed my second set started denting and looking rough within a couple days. I sent a picture and asked about having them fixed when I got back in town a few days later. I set an appointment and was blown away when I was told it would be full price to replace the obviously defective polish. When I explained that it was clearly a polish problem since I had not had a similar result the first time, I was told they would give me five dollars off, are you kidding? **Beware** I came to the salon yesterday for a French pedicure with gel polish. My total came out to $72 excluding the tip. I got home and realized I was unhappy with the work that was done on my feet so I immediately called and spoke to the owner whom I gave my name to for reference and told him I will be back tomorrow and he replied " I can come tonight or tomorrow either or is fine ". So I came the very next day after work and before I even left work I called him again to set up an appointment as a reminder and for my nails because I also wanted to get my nails done since that was actually the original plan yesterday but I had ran out of time. First of all the French polish they did on me again was terrible I water 1 hour of my life on that. I actually think it was worse than the first. They were not understanding any of my request during the process and didn't comprehend simple things that I was saying. After my terrible pedicure experience yet again I go over and get my nails done which I request in ombré. Yet, something they but yet again poorly! All of my nails are uneven and you will see a photo attached to this review. I have never been so disappointed in a salon before in my life and I'm even more disappointed because this is not my first time coming here. After I receive the very terrible job I go to the checkout and my total is $101 so I am questioning why that is and they explained that I am paying for a pedicure that I already received yesterday. So I again asked to speak with a manager because we had worked this out and they said he was not there but they will call instead so after my nail tech spoke with a manager on the phone I guess he forgot to tell them that I had called him twice already to confirm that I was coming in to get my feet redone and to get my nails done so they finally fix the charge and I only end up paying $65 for my nails which I'm actually really unhappy with and will probably be paying another $65 to go somewhere else to get a better job done this week. If there was a way to give this place no stars I would. I came once with a friend and I had ridges in my OWN nails. Clearly it was due to use of the incorrect buffering tool. That time wasn't as bad as the most recent. I was headed to an event and needed a quick mani pedi with gel. I called and the guy told me they could take me an hour later, I said that was fine. I walked into the building and a male worker told me that it would be an additional hour wait time. I waited patiently as other clients were in the same position I was in. There were 3 people working. The lady was really nice, however she cut my nails too short on both my toes and fingers after I told her that I wanted them shaped. Additionally there were some sanitary things I was uncomfortable with. North Carolina was still under a mask mandate and the customers all were still wearing masks, but some of the workers did not. I told the nail tech I wanted full set. She asked if I wanted powder or gel -- thought she was asking what kind of polish (dip powder or gel) so I said gel. She starts doing my nails and I'm noticing something isn't right. So I ask if she's doing acrylic. She said no, that I asked for gel. And I said yes, gel polish. She then acted like I was stupid and it was my fault when it was really her fault for not explaining. So then she starts giving me acrylic. I've been getting acrylic nails for many years now and she definitely did a rush job. She asked me if I had gotten a full set before toward the end and I said yes, so I think she was trying to see if she could get away with being rushed. She asked what shape I wanted and I told her rounded square but to make them look natural and then I showed her a picture of what I wanted so that it was extremely clear. She was shaping my nails and I asked if they could be shorter and she said that they would be too short. I said "but I really want them shorter than this" so she fixed it. But don't tell a customer no! Then she spoke to the person next to her in a different language and I just know she was complaining about me. It was obvious. She also never asked if my shape was okay. She just kept hurrying to try to finish my nails. At one point she told me to take my hands out of the light too early and messed up my thumb nail but then told me that I messed it up and that I need to hold my hands a certain way under the light (which I wasn't even touching the nasty table anyway under the light). I just said "ok". Didn't feel like arguing but didn't appreciate her telling me I messed up -- terrible customer service. My nails look so thick and chunky and just bad. Moving onto the polish change on my toes. I just said I wanted a polish change on my toes and they gave me gel -- which is more expensive. There was no clarification. Just assuming I wanted gel on my toes. Then I got my eyebrows waxed and the room was so nasty looking. The whole place just felt dirty. There were flies everywhere. Terrible experience. I tried calling the salon to see if I could come back and get my nails redone but they haven't answered. I had a terrible experience at Embassy Nails Spa! During the manicure, the nail person cut my finger so bad, it ripped the skin off and it bled non-stop for 20 minutes. It was very painful. 3 days later, I am still using a band aid. I stayed when I should have just left. Yes, they apologized but after an injury, a lot of bleeding I was given $10 off my service. The nail lady was so off her game at this point, my nail job was poor. One of the gel nails fell off by the next day. I did call and ask for a refund. They gave me the exact amount for just the manicure. In my opinion, they should have done more to help me feel better after such a bad experience. Business owners need to make sure people don't leave upset let alone injured without making more of an effort. I went on the Saturday before Easter which I was even surprised I was able to get in the door. My friend recommended that I see Nancy, so I reserved a time slot with her via the Yelp App. This place is super clean and very fancy. It blows the run of the mill nail salon out of the water. But what impressed me was the customer service. All of the nail technicians were really friendly, attentive to detail and made their clients feel like they cared. I had the Lavender Spa Pedicure done by Nancy. She even went above and beyond for me because I am super picky. I enjoyed a refreshing glass of sangria while receiving my massage. It was great! First of all, I'm an optimist and I habitually give the benefit of the doubt. That said, this was unfortunately the most disappointing professional pedicure I've had to date. The polish is uneven and splotchy, the skin around the nails is rough and untidy, and it just felt like a job I could've done at home. There is a little polish still on the skin, and the scrub was brief and left dry patches in several places. The nail filing is awkward and uneven. Parts of the nail were left unpolished and just hanging there. Granted, I've got some unusual nails due to ingrown nail surgery in the past, but it has never been a problem during any other pedicure, and I've never gone home with this kind of disappointing quality. Normally when I come home from a professional pedicure, the skin around the nails is smooth and well trimmed down, with no dead skin or extra polish left behind, and my feet feel soft and polished all around. This was not the case today at Embassy. I do want to say that the tech was friendly and pleasant. And they served me a complimentary beer which was great! However I do feel that the quality of the final product was poor. I understand this business is under new management, and maybe this is related to these issues, I honestly don't know. Additionally, we'd reserved an appointment for 2 pedicures and 1 manicure at 6:30pm and they had no staff ready to take us when we arrived, and we were quite late to begin, only leaving the place just before 8pm. Even the most mediocre pedicures I've had have always looked and felt quite nice, with smooth, well-trimmed skin and even-coated polish. Originally I gave 5 Stars just a couple months ago but I think things have really changed. I got a new set of dip polish and I had to get it fixed within a week because it broke my entire nail in half. It was really painful. I went back in to get it fixed and the manager was all over the place and on the phone 90% of the time while he did it. He also didn't even file my thumb nail so it was all Jagged and sharp and it looked terrible. I was nice and I still tipped even though he charged me $10 to "file" my nails and fix an error that his staff made. Called ahead and made appt for 3pm for a fill in and pedicure, both gel polish, acrylic on big toes. Finally sat in pedi chair 3:25, tech came over asked me to put feet in while water running and its ice cold water. I tell her water is cold, she walks off. It never did get hot until another tech came over (Mary-who says she is new, there 10 days?) and she corrected the water situation. She does my pedicure and I noticed bumps in the polish on big toe. She did everything but fix it. I pointed out she had polished my cuticle on another toe and she got pissy acting and used alcohol to wipe the toes and said "see all better now" (which did nothing). At this point I am wanting to walk out but feeling more like a hostage. After feet are done, we move to nail station for fingernails and I told her not to cut down the nails, just fill in. She filed on my nails so long she shortened the length. I look at the clock and it is 5:15 and we are getting ready to polish. I had a work appt at 5:30 that I needed to text to reschedule the time, she wouldnt let me text, kept grabbing my hands. I finally finish at 5:35, charged $78. My work appt couldnt reschedule so I lost out on $100. It has been 24hrs since I left the salon and looking at my nails I am so disappointed yet again. This time I have decided I will not go back. There are a few good nail techs in there but unless you get one of them you are screwed. Posting pics to show poor quality. Like other reviews, I can confirm that you will not be relaxed here. It is very stressful to sit in the chair knowing they are rushing, making mistakes, doing everything but make you comfortable and your nails and cuticles looking like they have been through a wood chipper. I love Embassy! I've been coming here for about a year and a half. Evie is AMAZING. She did my most recent SNS manicure and it's literally the best one I've ever had. Her attention to detail is incredible. My finished nails look thin and smooth enough to be the shellac polish, but with the strength and durability of SNS. William also does a great job. My only complaint would be that it seems like they never turn walk-ins away, or make them wait. This has resulted (several times) in people with appointments having to wait upwards of 30 minutes to get seated. Don't come here if you expect to be pampered. The first guy seemed super annoyed that I was there to begin with. I wanted a natural polish or clear and he suggested pink and I said I don't want pink but a very light neutral or clear color and he continued suggesting different pinks so I said no thank you I'll just do black. Just as we were getting started I was asked to move. I moved my own things which is a first (coffee, purse, phone) with glued on talons (fake nails had yet to be trimmed down lol) to a different station and a second guy was going to continue my nails. Again not relaxing at all and super awkward. Cuticles were neglected and definitely could've used some tlc. One tip had been glued on super crooked but I said it was ok if they could just filed it down to not look crooked. And on that same hand the dip powder had to be redone which took twice as much time to correct. I didn't make a fuss because shit happens. I was super bummed that there was no hand massage. I work with my hands and I get my nails done 80% of the time just for the massage. Again don't come here if you want to relax and be pampered. In all fairness, at this point it was close to closing time but I had called and made an appointment over an hour before closing and they should've said they didn't have any availability if they were just going to give shitty service. I just think with the mishaps that had happened that I didn't make a big deal about they could've tried harder to make the experience enjoyable and not rushed me out the door. Why didn't I say I was dissatisfied when I was there you ask? I honestly wanted it to just be over. I last visited this place on May 21, because I wanted to get my acrylic nails removed that I had gotten for prom. I did not get the acrylics here, but I figured they can atleast take them off for me, right? Wrong. When I told the employees that I wanted them removed, they seemed confused but sat me in a chair anyways. One man began working with me. It was AWFUL. He would sit down, cut my nails, dip them in acetone and then begin to SCRAPE my nails with OTHER ARTICFICAL NAILS. He was very lost throughout the process, I could tell. He kept getting up and coming back, each time more useless than the last. Eventually, a new man comes in and I think he'll do better. He does a miniscule job and paints over it with nail hardener. I left with acrylic still on my nails and a cut under one of my nails because of how aggressive their removal was. A month later, my nails are still covered in a acrylic. It is painful to the touch and I am still figuring out for to care for my nails. I'm not sure what's going on with this place. I was looking for a closer nail shop in between my job and work. So I went there and wasn't too pleased with the outcome. My nails weren't filed down correctly and the gel wasn't applied to my nails accurately. So I will not go back there again..
