The one thing that I know is that it does not matter what the setting, a great esthetician is one in a million and without a doubt, Jenny is one of the best in the business. Some of the best waxers are the ones who tell you what they are doing and advise you on how to watch out for an esthetician that is knowledgeable and experienced. The reason for this is because many, many waxers double dip and use the wrong type of wax on your skin. Jenny, in the knowledgeable and experienced category, never double dips and chats you through the process. Also, in a most respectable way, she does not sh** talk other salons that I know, for a fact in Raleigh, is way below grade, especially for what they charge (see: SkinSense). She uses a combination of waxes, tells you to breathe in and out, and doesn't leave a loose hair in tact. Her process is methodical and natural. I highly recommend her and am genuinely sad that I will not be in Raleigh more to use her services. However, from now on, I definitely know where to go if I am in town.

I think technically you're not supposed to tip the owner, however I did anyways on my first service since I got 20% off. UPDATE: I asked Jenny about the tip when I was there last. She said she does not expect tip and the Credit Card company automatically puts a tip line on there. Her main concern is that her customers are happy and can afford her service and will want to come back. Don't feel obligated! :)

Their system somehow scheduled the appointment for October 22nd instead, which I only discovered when a confirmation email arrived late in the morning that same day. Unfortunately, I didn't see it right away and was then charged a no-show fee for an appointment I never intended to book. It's really sad when a company makes an error and puts the blame on their customer instead of taking responsibility. I expected better service and accountability from a business that promotes itself as high-end. Definitely won't be booking here again.

After a lot of searching, I found Dr. Hunter, and I'm so glad I did. From the very first consultation, I knew my experience would be different. Dr. Hunter personally greeted my family and me in the lobby, which immediately made me feel welcome. During my consultation, I shared all of my concerns and the areas I wanted to improve. He listened carefully, never rushed me, and offered thoughtful recommendations based on my goals. I've been to many medical appointments where I've left feeling unheard, but that was never the case with Dr. Hunter. His confidence, professionalism, and attention to detail gave me complete confidence in my decision. I had my surgery in December, and now that I'm six months post-op, I can honestly say I LOVE the way I look. My results exceeded my expectations while still looking natural. One thing I was initially nervous about was that I didn't see many women who looked like me on the website. However, from beginning to end, I was treated with exceptional care and respect. The hospitality from the entire Amelia team was truly unmatched. Every interaction made me feel safe, valued, and genuinely cared for, and that meant everything to me. Whenever I had a question or concern, someone responded quickly by phone or email. I never felt like I was navigating my recovery alone. I am beyond grateful to Dr. Hunter and every member of the Amelia team for helping me through this journey. Choosing them was one of the best decisions I've made, and I would recommend them without hesitation. For anyone considering a mommy makeover, my procedure included: * Tummy tuck * Small hernia repair * Breast reduction * Liposuction to the flanks Thank you, Dr. Hunter and the entire Amelia team, for helping me feel confident in my own skin again. I will forever be grateful.

After having a busy day with Doctor appointments, I decided to take myself and my parents out to…read moreget a manicure and pedicure. All three of us had birthdays in August, so it was the perfect opportunity to have a treat as well. Manicures and pedicures are not typically my thing, so I didn't readily have someplace in mind. I did a Google and Yelp search to find a place that had good reviews. I came across Posh Nails off of US Highway 17 in Garner and decided to go there and see if they allow walk-ins. Luckily, when I arrived they had availability and did allow walk-ins so the three of us were seated right away for our pedicures. It's a nice set up at this facility. They also have free beverages available while you're being serviced. Christina was my nail technician. She did a great job with my pedicure and my manicure. My parents pedicure and manicure also went well. There were two things that I observed during my visit that threw me for a loop. (1) I was unaware of an additional service charge separate from the cost for the manicure and the pedicure. My first thought was that the beverages aren't really free, and there's a secret charge for the beverages but when I inquired about what it was for, I was told it's because I had two different services done. That struck me as very odd. Some nail salons actually give you a discount if you're having a combination manicure and pedicure service. This was the very first time that I heard of a service charge because I had two services done instead of one. I was eager to see the bill so that I could see exactly how it was listed, but conveniently enough, I did not receive an itemized bill just a credit card receipt. (2) My technician set up a small fan so that I could have my nails dried before I left the facility; however, my mother's technician tried to have my mom leave right after he finished painting her nails without drying them first. It took my father's technician to point out to my mother's technician that he needed to dry my mom's nails first because they were still wet. I was quite surprised that my mother's technician thought it would be OK to not dry her nails before letting her leave the facility. Overall, our visit went well, but because of those two instances I mentioned above, I have reduced my score from 4 to 3.
