I found a groupon for a couples massage which included the 30 minute massage and 30 minutes in the steam room. The whole experience was calming, massage felt great, and I liked the lavender she asked me to breathe in a couple of times throughout. If I come back I wouldn't do the steam room - didn't enjoy this aspect. But apparently couples do since it's "private". My only compliant would be the day before the massage they called and needed to reschedule my appointment for 3 hours later due to one of their massage therapist quitting they would only have one on site and wouldn't be able to accommodate two massages at one time. I ended up going with a friend so it didn't really matter if we were in the room at the same time. Kept same appointment time and the manager threw in a complimentary "spa ritual" (mud room package) for the inconvenience. read more

I was very excited to see a HydraFacial Groupon. I bought a Groupon for "Two HydraFacial Treatments." When I called to schedule an appointment, I was told that their HydraFacial machine was not functioning and they were unable to schedule an appointment for me. I was a bit confused because I figured there would be a date they anticipated the machine to be fixed and schedule out. A couple weeks or a month seems reasonable for a 30 minute facial treatment that runs $150-300 retail. Well, they had no idea when it would be fixed and told me to get a refund from Groupon. The call seemed a bit suspicious. I wonder if they sold more Groupons than expected or realized the Groupon deal wouldn't be worth their time. Groupon gave me a full refund. read more

Came here for a couples massage. We were greeted at the front desk and staff was friendly. Massage therapists were ready when we arrived. We were offered a robe, slippers and something to drink (wine). The room was small but comfortable with heated tables. Loved the relaxing music too. There was a relaxation room with water and coffee. My massage therapist, Derek, was excellent and included hot towels on my back, feet and neck. He worked on exactly what I asked for and needed. I absolutely LOVE this place! I had bought an Amazon Deal for a gel mani and regular pedi. You never know what to expect with a new place and especially with an online deal but the technician, Amy, made me feel like I had paid hundreds of dollars to be there. She was a perfectionist in all the right ways and if she saw even the tiniest imperfection on any of my toenails or fingernails, she would work hard to fix it. She was also amazing at the massages during the mani/pedi. I've been to many different spas and I thought this one was very nice. I liked that they had showers available and a nice welcoming waiting area. My therapist Mike was very warm and helpful. I liked that they didn't pressure you into buying a package or membership. When I initially called I felt the receptionist probably hated her job so I just hung up. Then she called back and was able to get us right in for the couples thing with the steam room, massage and mud. Steam Room: Well the steam room wasn't on and it smelled like mildew and mold. I felt it wasn't exactly a clean environment and kind of gross. Def should consider releasing some nice essential oils in with the steam to mask that smell. Massage: If I could give Beatrice 10 STARS I would. She was the best I have ever had. She worked out my knotts and I feel amazing today. Mostly terrible experience... This place is under new ownership...it looks like it's still being remodeled / decorated. I have been there several times before when they were Healthy Body Spa and it was overall pretty nice. My boyfriend bought a Black Friday special (couples massage, use of steam room & bottle of wine for $130) from them and used it today for my birthday. They had no record of the purchase (good thing he kept the receipt!) and then we were told we wouldn't be receiving the bottle of wine we were supposed to get with the package we bought. Ugh. We got there 45 mins early to use the steam room before our massages and we were told it wasn't available. Ugh again. The lady at the front desk kept telling us it was better to use it after a massage. Well, we wanted to use it first to start relaxing. Oh well, so we sat in the "tranquility room" instead...which is not anything to write home about. At one point a customer came in that room with his two small children...and yes, one was screaming. Why do people think it's ok to bring kids to a spa? Ugh, ugh. Our massages were great, but the couples massage room was a weird...it was so bright and there was a random sauna sitting in there. It wasn't romantic or even spa-like pretty at all. One last thing, I took a shower and there was no shampoo, body wash, (oh but there was head and shoulders shampoo and body lotion in the shower lol) and hair dryer, deodorant - nothing that you would find in an actual spa! One other weird thing...we had to ask for robes and we were never offered slippers / flip flops either. We had to walk around the place barefoot. Ugh! There are very nice spas in the area that are waaay better for the same prices this "spa" charges. There is such a lack of spa knowledge from the new management... Place was new, clean, and calming. The common area in the back was a bit small but the wait was very short so it was never too crowded. There were only 2 bathrooms so I would anticipate on busier days there would be a line to change or use the bathroom. Overall the space was great and the people were very nice and helpful. They offered different sized robes (with pockets), which was a nice surprise to have one fit properly and not swim in one! Had 3 things done and by far the facial was the best. It was very thorough and could feel a difference during and afterwards. The esthetician was professional and very knowledgeable on all of the products used. If this spa was more organized and actually had good customer service, they would get a 5 star rating from me, as my massage was wonderful! I had bought a Groupon for an 80 minute couples massage and booked our appointment one month in advance, asking for 2 female therapists. 2 days before the appointment, I received a confirmation email that showed one male and one female therapist. I called the spa immediately to address this and was told by staff they would call back shortly to see what they could do to get us in for our couples massage one day the same week with 2 female therapists. The staff also told me that there were 2 females originally, but they switched out staff due to one of the therapists being out on maternity leave. Again, that should have warranted a call, as 2 females were requested. 5 hours later, still no phone call. I called and left a message, never hearing back. I tried to call again on Monday (2 days later), the day of my appointment, and could not get through or leave a message (as they were not open till noon, but there website listed 10am). I finally was able to reach someone early afternoon who did not appear to know anything about my concern. I was just told the person I spoke with on Saturday is new (a very sad excuse for poor customer service). The manager did get us in that day and had another therapist stay late for our appointment, but we went through a lot of frustration and stress to get what should have been a seamless and relaxing experience. That same day I also emailed the owner and STILL (4 days later) have not heard back. They offered no additional services or perks to make up for THEIR wrong doing, which I felt should have been offered from anyone with good business sense, or at minimum, an apology response from the owner. During our visit, they were very disorganized as we were in the couples privacy room about to get ready for our massage when another couple showed up in their robes. As great as the massage itself was, I would never plan to come back here based on who unorganized and unresponsive they are. Don't waste your money! read more

Summary: Spa was so poorly managed that it overshadowed some good massage therapists. I bought a groupon for a couple's massage that included use of the steam room and a glass of wine for each person. 1- The entire facility was FREEZING cold, in the 60s- especially unacceptable for a spa where customers are disrobing for massages and trying to relax. 2- Massages themselves were very good. We had Tatiana and Michael, who were experienced and skilled. They didn't meet with us afterward to debrief/let us know of any knots they found, etc, which I think should be standard practice. 3- No notice of broken steam room: I had to go to the front desk to ask when we could use the steam room and where it was, and I was informed that it had just broken that morning. No one informed me of this ahead of time or offered any adjustment for this. 4-In fact, the front desk person was rather rude about it when I approached, and was in the middle of talking to a massage therapist about how to make more money off a client. 5- The glass of wine was poor quality. We would have done better to go to a more professionally run place, and it probably would have cost the same since the "perks" of the groupon (wine and steam room) were worthless. read more

We purchased this couple's massage package to relax before Christmas. The experience was totally disorganized and not relaxing at all. The staff seems to be very amateur and clueless. Our appointment was set for 1:30 PM and we were asked to arrive at 1 PM. We arrived early at 12:50 PM. We walked into the spa and informed them we had a Groupon for a couples spa package with Groupon, and the woman at the front desk didn't ask to see the Groupon. The lockers provided to us did not lock. We had to ask somebody to help us to get a locker that locked. We were in the waiting room, and 2 massage therapists came to get us to bring us back for a massage. I mentioned to them that we had an appointment at 1:30, and then they brought us back to the waiting room. Apparently, they mixed up appointments, and they got the wrong couple. We went back to the waiting room, and another couple was taken back to their room, but because the second couple arrived late, the massage therapists were trying to get them organized. This means, that we only went back to our room at 1:40, 10 minutes after our scheduled appointment time. We got into the room and I had Tatiana, and my wife had Antoinnette as a massage therapist. My wife noticed that her massage therapist was going very fast during the massage and was asked to flip over after about 10 minutes. When my wife asked why everything was going so fast, the massage therapist said that we had a 30 minute massage. Our Groupon was for 50 minutes for each person. They double checked with the front desk, and they came back and confirmed that we were right and the massage was for 50 minutes each and not for 30 minutes. They apologized, and we understood that it wasn't their fault. The people at the front desk had messed up. The massage therapists proceeded to continue with our massage, but by now my wife is not happy because of how fast the massage was going. Antonette was asked to apply more pressure, but it didn't really make a difference in the massage. My wife was not relaxed at all. On top of that, the massage started at 1:40pm and ended at 2:25pm, so we had a 45 minute massage, not even 50 minutes. While we were getting up and putting back on our robes after the massage and still in the massage room, one of the devices that was playing meditation music in the room started ringing like a phone for about 30 seconds. We turned off a button on it because it was very loud, and realized that it was connected to a cell phone. So you're not supposed to have cell phones turned on in a spa, but a cell phone from one of the staff connected to this music device was ringing. We went to the steam room, and one of the staff asked us if we wanted more water before we went in for 20 minutes, we said yes, and she never brought us water. We had to remind her to please get us water once we got out of the steam room. The mudroom had only one massage table instead of two so it was a little difficult to maneuver and do everything and relax with the mud and the sugar scrub. The drain in the mud room got clogged and we were walking around in stagnant water in that room. The towels they gave us to take a shower had rips on the edges and were not in good condition. At the end of our massage, another woman at the reception desk asked us how our experience was and we told her that it wasn't good and we told her all of the details, and she proceeded to tell us that we were supposed to get a 30 minute massage. Until she read the Groupon, she didn't believe us. We asked for a partial refund, which we thought was fair and she said that because it was a Groupon we couldn't get a partial refund. She asked if we wanted to come back for another massage for 30 minutes and I told her we would never be going back to this place. I do not recommend Spa at Stonecreek and I don't recommend buying a Groupon for this spa. This place is not well-managed and not organized. Very dissapointed with my experience here. Had a package and brought my daughter and had planned a day with her. The services that were performed with my facial were not the package I had and were cut short. The massage therapist was nice and did a good job, and I can't say the aesthetician was unfriendly, I was just given a basic 20-30 minute facial and not the Deluxe facial my package stated. Maybe they didn't think I would know the difference? But I trained with Catherine Hinds and have owned 2 medical spas of my own in NY before moving to NC. The cures line they used was what we used in school to train with (before training with Catherine)so I was very familiar with procedure. Even though she did not use steam and the mask was on for maybe 5 minutes, and there was no facial massage at all...I can say she did the basic steps well. I guess it's just dissapointing when you expect and think your getting one thing and you get a cut halfway version of it. I usually get regular monthly services due to having previous industry experience and love it, however I would never return here. It was nice inside as well, but not welcoming reception at all. I just bought the Skinceuticals Vitamin C Facial during their $50 Spa week and I have to say it was amazing! Well worth the money. My facial was done by Bhavna who was just wonderful. The spa is clean, relaxing and the staff is very friendly. I have been here before and tried the Hydrofacial (great but overpriced) and the Bloom facial. The massage therapists were great so I hate to leave a bad review because it has nothing to do with them. First, we waited for a while before anyone even came to the front to greet us. They also didn't know what therapy services we were there for. Really? So after our massages we were never given robes to go to the steam room. We had to get dressed, then get undressed! But by far the worst is the new so-called "steam room". What a joke! They used to actually have a glorious steam room here that was amazing! But they did away with it and now stick you in a room with a creepy red heat lamp and acoustic ceiling tiles (first sign it's not a real steam room.) You are supposed to sit or stand together in a robe with NO STEAM and just this weird red light? We just looked at each other like, yeah... no thanks. #1 rule of a steam room should be, well, steam! So we just got dressed and passed on that. It's the woman who owns this place now who has zero customer service ability and lied about the services and their costs. They put out a Groupon for a couples massage and this wack-ado steam room experience but I called them offering to pay them directly since they will make more money and I will pay the same. Just a courtesy to a local business. And the owner still argued with me and charged us more than the agreed upon price. Like I said, the massage therapists were good but the cost is WAY too high for what you're getting. Shame because it used to be a nice place. I'll never go back. She is always so friendly and amazing, my skin feels so refreshed and soft after receiving a facial from her. She is experienced and knows how to treat your skin.
