It's milk tea in Merced. It tastes water-downed. not really impressive, low-key overpriced. But I think it's better than fusion. If I'm really craving milk tea I'd go here. However they have small ass macarons for like 3 bucks. So not worth it, docked a star off for that. read more

The staff here are extremely friendly and welcoming. I ordered a medium lychee milk tea with boba and it was great. The prices aren't too steep either. The place is open late which is convenient if you want some tea in the middle of the night or need a place to hang out with friends. There is a good amount of seating inside and it is very clean. It's awesome to see a tea house in Merced. We were there around 5:30 pm on a Monday and it was extremely busy but the line flew pretty fast. The prices are reasonable for the drinks but a little pricey on the pastries. I enjoyed my passion fruit green tea (medium $3.50) which is pretty hard to find in this area. Definitely attracted the college crowd and you have to call to reserve for high tea. read more

Love this place. Have to order most drinks w/o sugar because most of the flavors are sweetened already, learned that the hard way when my drink was undrinkable until I diluted it. I am very sad to have left this place behind. The boba tea I have tried since moving to AZ does not compare. Em Tea offers a lot of variety of teas, flavors, and topping. Not only do they have the popular flavors you'd expect, they have many more and a whole list of premium teas. The staff is very friendly and since they opened I have always felt they take their customer reviews seriously. Portion sizes here are HUGE. With that said, I didn't really like my tea...at all. It was way too sweet even though I chose the "lightly sweetened" option. And they may make some of their teas from powder....maybe? I don't like powdered tea because it is less refreshing. I went to this place for the first time yesterday and i really enjoyed it. Didnt find they were very helpful with giving suggestions, but my drink was amazing and i will be going back to try new flavors. My husband also loved it too and hes super picky! The only thing that irritates me a bit was all those "steps" when ordering and if you don't know what you're doing you'll end up with something you probably don't want. They have nothing in their menu! I just came here to have something to eat beside my tea and they simply have nothing!!! A tiny slice of regular cake for 6$! I strongly recommend Sno crave. EM Tea offers a lot of diverse flavors ranging from light and sweet for the novice, to bold and flavorful for the intermediate. My fav's are peach oolong light sweet boba. Coconut green tea light sweet aloe. Original black tea light sweet milk+green tea ice cream. read more

I went to taste/try their macarons (in hopes of ordering a ton for my baby shower). I was severely disappointed. They're so small (like smaller than Oreos, and they were all broken and crumbled. Their flavors were so light, you barely knew which one you were eating! Raspberry one tasted incredibly fake too. If they can step it up on their recipes, I'm sure they could improve them. read more

I went to snow crave and they said they wouldn't make my coconut green tea with milk because "it wouldn't be good" I get it all the time at Em-tea and I love it. Ohh great buba smoothie for an amazing price. I love the taro smoothie with taro pudding. The wait time to get your smoothie is between 10-15 minutes. If they're busy it'll take over 20 minutes. Lately, my smoothies have been tasting like more ice and I don't know why either. I love how you could adjust the drinks however you like. Great customer services and friendly staff. read more

Best tea I've ever tried if you like milky stuff I recommend the coco taro beacausr who doesnt live coconut and taro is a milky touch they add which makes it so milky and so good my favorite place.If you like tropical drinks this is a place that could impress you but if you like coffee stay with Starbucks or another coffee shop beacause anything at emtea is ither tropical drinks or milky anyways I loved it that's why I rate a 5 Star. read more

Coming from LA I've had some good boba and didn't think much of this place as a stop for a pee break on the way back from Yosemite. Surprisingly I was amazed with the environment, quality, and service of this place. The employees were friendly and amazed me with the quality of music they were playing. So far my favorite milk teas are lavender with black tea normal sweetness and mango with no milk and light sweetness. First of all, they have no decaf tea option. So, today is the second time I ordered a pineapple coconut milk drink with pearls. The first time I ordered it, about a month ago, it was so watery and almost no coconut milk. But I thought maybe that was a fluke. Also, I took the time to explain to the cashier what I wanted. When I saw my drink I asked if they put any coconut milk in it, and she showed me a spoon and said they put some spoonfuls in it. It was mostly water, with some pineapple flavored syrup. I asked if she could re-make it with more coconut milk. She asked how much? And I said a half (thinking that was already too low of a ratio, but I didn't want to push the issue). She charged me an extra $.50 - this drink is already more than Starbucks and it contains no craft coffee and no tea. I really want to come back here, but I don't want to have to explain how to make the drinks. Seems like they are cutting corners to save money, and by the way, they don't actually use real milk, they use a powder like the preservative-laden creamer powders in hotel rooms. read more
