Horrible customer service!…read more I called in early August for a pest issue and scheduled service for August 11. My husband took the day off to meet with the rep. At the time, we were told the cost was $269 initial consultation and $108 monthly IF follow-up service was required. I received both an email and text confirmation for the 8/11 visit with a two-hour window. When no one showed after the two-hour window on 8/11, I called and was told that they have us scheduled for a 8/18 visit. I told them that we selected 8/11 AND received confirmation and reminders from Orkin for that date. The rep, her name is Sherry, was initially apologetic then became annoyed. I asked to speak with a manager because I wanted to get assurances that this wouldn't happen again if we required follow up service. The rep said the manager was in a meeting at first, kept putting me on hold then said he'd call back later. She rescheduled the visit for the next day. I told her to be sure to tell him to give me a call - he didn't that day or the next day when I followed up again. The pest control expert came the next day - 8/12. He was informative and professional. He diagnosed the issue as minor. He addressed the problem then told us to call IF there was a reoccurrence. Sunday, 9/13 I get a call from an Orkin pest control rep at 8:00 am to say he would be at my home in five minutes. I told him 1- I was not in need of this service and didn't sign up for service beyond the initial visit. 2- the manager NEVER called me back to explain how they messed up the dates for the initial visit. When I checked my credit card statement, Orkin went ahead and charged me $108! I called customer service right away and spoke with Cora who just apologized but said she couldn't help me. I told her to have the manager call me back asap. HE NEVER CALLED ME BACK. I called corporate 9/15 and asked to speak with a manager but received the same run around! NO ONE CALLED ME BACK. I reached out to my credit card customer service to dispute the charge. They asked if I tried to resolve the issues with the merchant and I told them NO ONE RESPONDS!! This isn't supposed to happen with a national company. I plan to contact the BBB to report them and will pursue until I receive my refund. To make matters worse, I received a survey from them after the initial consultation where I listed my complaint about the scheduling mixup and the manager's refusal to call me back. Unfortunately, the survey was a waste of time because Orkin didn't respond or address my complaints...they did help themselves to more of my money though.

Sealed the likely entrance, built trap boxes ( YouTube... ) and used various baits. Rats are extremely smart and fast. He'd get the food but not caught. After a a few weeks I gave in and searched for an exterinator. The reviews about Joe prompted me to get in touch. The reviews describe him perfectly ! He came the next day. We spent almost 2 hours going around the house inspecting for evidence of entry points, nests, activity as well as getting to know each other. He is truly a nice guy who knows his craft ! Joe seemed impressed by my approach. Thought, based on what he saw, that there might only be the one and didn't see any obvious additional enrty points. He suggested a few new baits and traps and we decided to stay in touch before moving to poison. He refused payment for his time and advice. He promptly replied to my status texts over the next few days. Nobody caught, no success... until I got him ! Sent Joe pictures. Recieved a congratulations reply ! Now going to keep monitoring for a few weeks, traps set. Maybe my problem is solved. Fingers crossed my visitor didn't have friends and family.
