Loved the vibe and friendly atmosphere. Kim Chi, however made my pedicure and manicure uncomfortable. Burned me multiple times without apologizing while using the Dremel. I have had many pedicures and gel manicures over the years and this was the worst. She is very rough and went too deep many times on my cuticles. My thumb actually has been hurting all day and you can see the cut on the side of my nail where she went too deep. I put peroxide on it this evening to hopefully help it feel better. Dj the owner only cares about himself and money. He likes to think he has all the control because he bans you from his salon. As if there aren't a million more places to go. They did not use a new file which is a requirement btw. I have never seen drill bits sanitized in between customers. They vape in the salon. I was visiting my in-laws and I wanted to make add my mother-in-law to my appointment with my sis-in-law and they were fully booked at that time. A few minutes after, DJ from the salon reached out to me via text saying he was able to make an adjustment so we could all be at the same time. That truly was so sweet of him to go above and beyond for us. We all had a great experience and beautiful nails. As always, Elysian Nails is crushing the game! I went there when I was in college but have since moved away. Now that my sister lives in the area, she's a repeat customer. Since I was home for the holidays, we had a sister date and both got our nails done. I got a full acrylic set gel manicure and a pedicure. Kim Chi did a phenomenal job at both. She was obviously very experienced and was super efficient about the entire process. She made me feel totally pampered. As always, the environment at Elysian Nails is wonderful. I used to come here every two weeks for a variety of services- pedicure, manicure, gel, dip, and acrylics. I really like the owners and the overall vibe of the salon, and service is always efficient. Quality has typically been unbeatable. I went for the first time in a while last Friday, and had a tech I've never had before. By Sunday night, my gel nails were chipping and peeling badly badly from the tips up, and by Tuesday, I had to remove them. I have never had an experience like this before, but consider yourself warned. went there 2x for pedis and left hefty tips. it seemed like a sweatshop where everyone was anxious. I scheduled another service and they texted me same day to re schedule as the tech was "sick". I re sched to another day then due to tornado and power outage had to cancel. I told them my water and power was out. Wish I had a better review to post, first the shape isn't what I showed at all, I didn't want them coffin or really any shape but she shaped them, which caused me to bleed and also be charged an extra $10 that I was not aware of, the shaping is pretty uneven and bumpy, the underneath area is flaking from not being properly cleaned up, there's paint on multiple fingers, and when she was moving my fingers around she messed up the nail polish and didn't fix them and instead just place a clear coat on top of them. Pretty disappointed overall with the experience there. Edited to add after response : I understand if there is an up charge for length however I was not notified that the length I wanted warranted being charged for it so I wish I would've been told the length I wanted would mean I would have to pay extra. My hand was not clenched my hand was in the "c" shape over the fan so that I could try to dry all my nails my nails were not messed up until she moved my fingers to move them flat, she also did see that the nails got messed up and did not fix them and when she was done she got up and went to the back room for the remainder of the time my nails dried. read more

Allen Allen Allen, remember that name. Went in for a spa pedicure left with the best pedicure of my life, truly. He jokingly said he is OCD about it and a perfectionist. Be prepared for it to take a little longer than you're used to. Just relax and sit back and watch him do his thing. This man knows how to do a pedicure. New to the area, and I will definitely be returning back to this salon. I booked my apt 30 minutes before going in. Glen manicure and no pedicure, but I got gel on my toes. The price for my service was what I was expecting. I was in and out within 45 minutes. The service is incredible, the vibes were good too with the music and the staff. I'm not sure who finished my nails/toes but she was always making sure I was comfortable i did not specify any designs when booking, so there was no time. I never write reviews, but I absolutely love this salon!!! This is the first place I tried after moving to the area, and as someone who is very picky about nails, I've looked no further. The staff are always very accommodating and kind, and make sure you get exactly what you want. It's pricier, but the salon itself is spotless and doesn't smell like chemicals; that coupled with free refreshments makes it more than worth it. They even fixed smudged nails days later after my last appointment for free with only a 10 minute wait!! Great attention to detail as well and a very comfortable spot to spend a few hours. I went to Elysian Nails prior to attending a wedding. The nail techs were very friendly. I got acrylic nails with an ombré and gel polish. After less than 24 hours my nails began chipping. By Sunday 4 of my nails were chipped (one was half way off). The other nails began chipping along the tops. I went back in on Sunday to get them fixed and they told me I would have to wait 45 minutes. I asked if I could just receive a refund and the refused and said that they do not give refunds. I am not sure how an obvious mistake and lack of attention to detail on their on their end can not be refunded. Them expecting me to wait close to an hour after I had already spent over 2 hours in their nail salon less than 48 hours is ridiculous in my opinion. I am extremely unsatisfied with Elysian Nails. I've now lowered my review down to 1 star due to how incredibly rude and unprofessional the management is as you can see in their response below. I stated in my review that I never posted my draft from a year ago and that's why it's delayed. After looking at their Facebook pricing, I should have been charged $46 for a full set with gel. Meaning I was still given a $17 dollar up-charge, thank you for reinforcing my point! Regardless of timing, I have the right to tell others about my experience at the salon. I didn't ask for any reimbursement or anything else in my review, I was simply letting others know my experience. Saying to a client "thank you for not coming back" is astonishing to me and nothing but petty. After looking at other reviews that were not positive, this seems to be a trend from the management. The simple fact that they respond to reviews in such a manner is indicative of their professionalism and how they treat their clients. UPDATED ORIGINAL POST: I went here one time and I never want to return again. I went last summer, but I forgot to post this review so that's why it is so delayed. I went for here for an acrylic full set with a gel French tip ombré. I chose Elysian based on the work and reviews I had seen on yelp/Facebook and I was soooo disappointed. This is going to be a long review but I want to warn some of you before you choose this salon. The Good: ~ The end product looked good, (even though it took a lot of asking for tweaks on my end) the acrylic was applied nicely and they lasted for 3 weeks. (the only reason I would have given them two stars instead of one) ~ They do trendy/Instagram inspired nails well ~ They have an large selection of colors ~ It looked updated inside and appeared clean The Bad: ~ MY TECH: I went in on a seemingly slow day and I think my tech (Shelly) was j annoyed to have to get off break to service anyone. The man who was working the desk and made my appointment earlier that day did not tell my tech that I was doing a gel French tip ombré. So she thought I was only doing regular gel polish when I had specified otherwise to the desk. She was NOT happy about this and it was clear she didn't want to do anything but a one color two coat polish job. When my tech started cutting down the tips she asked me about length and shape. I said long and square. Keep in mind I am very picky about length and shape, but I as I have worked in salons I'm always very nice and clear because it's a matter of preference. What the consider long is crazy long by anyone's standards, and I like my nails long. (We're talking the tips are curved at the ends long) So I asked for her to shorten them more, think Dolly Parton Steel Magnolias length. After she cuts them to my desired length she then looks at me and says "oh so you wanted them like short" I said "oh well I guess I'm used to other nail techs I've had" and then she got snippy with me "well here this is considered short to us, our clients like them actually long not like what you want". She continued to kinda nail shame me for a while after that and she was not a happy camper when I asked for my nails to be filed so they weren't flared out at the end. When doing my ombré my tech complained about having to go get sponges to apply to white with and was extremely irritated that she had to do it. She was generally unfriendly and had a bad attitude. She also was very into talking to the other techs about their personal life drama while she was doing the service. ~ Their pricing and fees are incredibly shady. The amount of up-charges and hidden upgrades at this place is crazy. Everything is an add-on (I literally mean everything) and this is not communicated to you. So if you pay with cash, bring way more than you think you need. I payed $72.25 with tip, when I expected around $60ish max with tip. There was also no removal needed. It wasn't a pink and white acrylic lay, because the ombré was done with polish. I kinda understand being charged for "nail art", but considering she told me I was getting short nails I shouldn't have been charged for length and because I got a basic square shape I really shouldn't have been charged for that either. But you are never told what you are being charged for exactly, and I honestly was so irritated by this point that I just wanted to leave. Maybe other techs are better than the one I had, but all in all it was NOT worth 70+ dollars for a freaking full set with all the hassle or irritation even if my nails looked good in the end. read more

Typically, I like this nail salon but my last two visits have been disappointing. The last visit was just not good at all. I always come in for a spa gel pedicure and usually am satisfied with my service when I leave. Not so much on Friday. Perhaps the technician had other plans that occupied her attention but it certainly was not on me. The pedicure was rushed, nails poorly trimmed and filed. The sugar was disproportionately put on my legs only not even my feet. The paint job was sloppy amateur looking at best and there was no shine like a gel pedicure always has. I believe it was a regular polish pedicure but I was charged for gel. I tried to express my dislike to the manager but he was uninterested. It's a cute spot but the service is inconsistent, a bit immature and not worth the money. read more

My mom and I used to be reoccurring customers here. She loves her nail technician and we have always had great service. However, my mom has developed severe health conditions over the years and her episodes are unpredictable. She hates canceling and LITERALLY went to one of her appointments barely being able to walk. A few times we have had to cancel due to actual emergencies. I'm aware that some people like to lie and claim "something came up" but truly, we have been through a lot this year and emergencies happen. My mom had to cancel her recent appointment because she FELL DOWN THE STAIRS. She texted DJ (the guy who makes the appointments) this and he never replied. It's weeks later and when she calls, he says he refuses to do business with her unless she agrees to pay the 30.00 cancellation fee. So DJ, do you not care about a person's health issues that affect them getting in a car and driving to see you? Or is it just about appointments. I understand that a business has policies and they need to make their funny, but it's very insensitive to my mom, who has been nothing except nice. She never complains, always compliments the services, and even recommended the salon to others. It's a shame that businesses don't care about the well-being of their clients and aren't affected when they tell them the reason for cancellation is a critical injury that prevents them from walking. We won't be back. I know that they don't care and this will probably be deleted, but it really is disappointing. Nobody can predict when they will suddenly get vertigo, or tendinitis so severe you can't walk, or even FALL DOWN THE STAIRS. Extremely disappointing. Edit: they responded to make themselves look good. As I said, no care for my moms help: and when she texts to say "reschedule" it's not a question. If she needs to reschedule, she needs to reschedule. How is a person supposed to know when they get injured. Lol bye! read more

I decided to try a gel manicure here and it turned out wonderfully! Sam did my manicure. I was so happy with it that I decided to stay and get a signature pedicure. I had Alan for my pedicure. He did an amazing job and the massage I got as part of my pedicure was the best part! Prices are very reasonable. The only downside is the chemical smell. I understand this is pretty unavoidable in salons that do acrylics. I'm just pretty sensitive to it and it makes the environment less relaxing for me. read more

I came here very last minute this week when in town and needing a manicure. I called that morning asking for a manicure (specifically not gel). They got me right in which was FABULOUS. When I arrived they were friendly and greeted me quickly. I was led to the polishes for regular manicure (not gel). The guy who came to get me asked for the color I picked, and then took off my existing gel polish. We actually talked about the fact that I wanted to give the gel a break and do regular this time. I enjoyed the conversation a little but the music was crazy loud so hard to hear. The next thing I realized, he was applying a gel manicure. At this point I realized it would take so much longer to go backwards so I just accepted it but was disappointed I didn't realize sooner to correct him. At the end the guy who greeted me and showed me regular polishes did the check ojt and he knew to charge (more) for gels so I'm confused as to where or how the miscommunication happened. When I left I still thought they looked beautiful but just was disappointed that I didn't get what I went for. The next day my index finger nail chipped. I loved everything about my visit today and have zero complaints. Elysian Nails is big and has ample room for customers, it's modern, clean and they even had great music playing.
