I've always got traditional normal nail polish. Got gel polish on toes and fingers for the first time. Gel on my toes lasted for a very long time. And the gel they put on my fingers came off in about a week. I'm sure there was something in the process that wasn't done correctly. I'm sure it was probably the 16 year old girl doing it while the other woman was working on my feet. They were in a big hurry because they were closing. I have never experienced that much pain in my hands. This girl did not know what she was doing. a total rush job. And I paid for it on top of that. The paint actually just peeled off in about a week. I understand they don't speak much, English. But they do not explain anything either. This is about the sixth or seventh time me being there. I just don't think I'll go back. I had issue after issue with this place. The first time I went, I asked for a design and showed three different people what I wanted to do. They kept switching me between techs. Finally, when I got to the last tech, she told me I should have mentioned I wanted a design earlier and that she couldn't do what I wanted. On another visit, I was told to come at 9:30am instead of 10. I got there at 9:30 and waited until 10:05 only to be told the person who had scheduled my appointment had to leave town. On that visit, a ton of people surrounded the desk where I was getting my nails done so they could talk with the tech. It was the least relaxing visit ever. On the fourth visit, I showed a design to two different techs well in advance. I was told they could do it. I was switched between several people. The gentleman started doing my nails, but not at all in the color I had asked for. When I mentioned I wanted a design, he told me they didn't have anyone there to accommodate. My nails were blotchy and poorly done. There are plenty of other nail salons that actually care about their customers. I do not recommend this one. read more

Came in on a Friday morning while in town for the weekend. Overall I am satisfied with the gel manicure that I received and the staff. My only reason for deducting a star is that I didn't appreciate customers (who seemed to be regulars) being serviced before me who arrived AFTER me. When I brought this up to one of the head ladies she said that it was because my friend who I had come with would not be done for awhile so they figured I wouldn't mind waiting. I just would have appreciated being told that BEFORE I noticed two people being services before me that came after me. I can't remember the name of the woman who did my bails but she sat in the very back and we had a great conversation and the service was great. When I expressed that the color looked different on my nails than I thought it would, she made sure I was still satisfied with my nails. It's not everyday you get an amazing nail tech on the first go! I tried this spa one day and lucked out. I won't let anyone else do my nails. I see "Ha" here and she's amazing! She's very fast but thorough and gives you EXACTLY what you ask for. My nails aren't all thick and fake looking. She gets them as thin as possible without disturbing the integrity of the nail. Take on too many customers and then rush everyone yet still take hours. It took them nearly 2 hours to fix a single nail on one visit. They've clearly started using cheap product. My dip nails peeled this time after 4 days, had them reapply the gel top coat and literally the next day the nails started peeling again. I get my nails done at least once a month and have never expect his issue in the past and am not exposed to any more water than usual or harsh chemicals. This place went down hill when Annie left. I had a nail appointment set for 6:30pm this evening with their nail tech bin .. I showed up at my appointment time at 6:30 and I walked in and said I'm here to see bin for my appointment and all the workers in there looked at me and started laughing .. I felt very uncomfortable and disrespected at this point. After that the owner said can you come back tomorrow bin Says he is "too tired" to do your nails tonight, and that they've been going all day today and I need to reschedule for tomorrow. I was speechless, I didn't know what to say back. This is beyond poor customer service and this isn't my first time here I am a returning customer and have always had great experiences with bin and now I don't think I will be returning back anymore. I LOVE THIS SPA! I have been going to see Annie for about a month now and I am never disappointed with her work. I recently went for a pedicure and a fill before my college graduation, and of course I made an appointment. MAKE SURE YOU CALL AND MAKE AN APPOINTMENT! They are so loved there and they get busy often and fast. Of course they do welcome walk-ins but appointments will come first. I haven't had anyone else except Annie so far but I am in love with her work and overall she is just a great person to talk to and be around. The spa is very clean and everyone there is so friendly. The only downside to this place is there is an extra charge for using cards, so just take some cash out beforehand. I will always be coming back to this nail salon to get my nails done. My nails turned out perfect they even stayed on for a month. They would have stayed on much longer but as I walked my neighbors dog that I was watching for the weekend it ran me into a mailbox and one of the acrylics got torn halfway off so I ended up just taking the rest off. I have been getting my nails done at salons all over summit county for years, and I can't say that about other places I've been. Horrible experience. I tried this place for a gel manicure. The manager barely filed my nails, so they're all uneven and jagged. They used an old bottle of gel polish, so the gel started to bubble up quickly. I pointed this out, and they lied and said that it's just the way that the light was shining. I asked them to fix it. They filed it off and tried again with the same result. They still insisted that I was "seeing things" and that it was fine. I told them that I never have this problem at other places. At that point, another worker brought over a new bottle of polish. The manager then had the audacity to say to me that the old bottle probably had dirt in it, so that's why the nails were bubbling. Total contradiction. They tried a THIRD TIME, and the same result. At that point, I told them that we're done. I paid for my pedicure (regular polish, so it was fine), but refused to pay for a gel manicure that needs fixed after three tries. They were unpleasant about it, to say the least. I calmy explained to them that I wasn't paying for such bad service and left. Needless to say, I won't be returning to this deceitful establishment. I'll just go to another place and have them fix my nails tomorrow. read more

I've been treated very poorly multiple times by this salon. They only have three techs that are able to do a set with decent shape and only one who can work with designs. You are charged different prices every time you go in even you're getting the same exact thing. Don't bother making an appointment bc they will not honor it, instead they pack in as many people as possible and have you waiting for very long periods of time until someone becomes available. You are constantly being pushed to get things you do not want. Techs give you attitude for requesting that they fix things that are incredibly obvious that they messed up. If I could leave a no star review, I would...... My daughters and I had appointments yesterday for a girls day out before one of them has her baby...... we had 4 appointments for 3:00 pm. There were so many things that were wrong from the moment we walked in. We were on time and even though we had an appointment, they took walk-in's before us...... 50 minutes later and one less person in our party because she had to leave, they finally seated us. We had 3 different packages and 3 different people working on us. Out of the 3, I think I got the most of the things we were supposed to get. I did not, however, get a top coat to finish my pedicure. My youngest daughter who went in specifically to get her heels and calluses taken care of before her c-section delivery in two weeks, didn't get her feet scraped at all. He said she had no calluses and she was too timid to speak up. My other daughter got a very expensive package that included about everything under the sun but didn't get the foot massage she paid for AND they didn't cut her cuticles at all.... didn't even touch them! She also paid for gel and it's already bubbling (and was before we even were rushed out of the salon), most likely because they painted right over her cuticles that they didn't cut..... They were in a hurry because they were running 50 minutes behind and wanted to get out of there. When I was paying I mentioned the 50 minute wait and she never even said "I'm sorry you had to wait".... none of them did! There was NO social distancing and they also did not wipe down the chairs after each use like you are supposed to do during this time of covid. A couple of them weren't even wearing masks. Shelves were really dusty and the floor and baseboards were even worse! I would NOT recommend this place to anyone and further more we will NEVER go back. It's a shame because it's close to where we live, too. Also I left a review on their FB page and they immediately took it down! So don't trust their reviews on FB. I went in for pedicure and eyebrow wax appointments today, Dec. 30, 2020, in the Stow location and sat in a pedicure chair for 35 minutes before anything actually started. The technician did not even use toenail clippers, which I thought was part of the process, and nobody seemed to be available or acknowledge or even remember that I had an eyebrow wax appointment afterward. I don't know whether it's insufficient communication or management, but I was highly disappointed in this customer service. I would not return or recommend! read more

My mom and I have been going to zen nails for over 3 years and go every 3 weeks for a fill. We made appointments for Saturday at 10:00 and got there at 9:52 for our appointments a client was in the chair so we sat and waited to be called, we sat for over an hour and at that point when the client still wasn't finished we walked out. When my mom and I go they don't spend an hour on us together so for a client to get over an hour is ridiculous and he knew we were there waiting for him for our appointment and didn't come up and apologize to us for the delay we thought was disrespectful and we will not be back to this facility. Zen Nails is a small little nail salon tucked away in a plaza located off of Route 8. I've been going here for a little over a year. My nails always look beautiful when I leave, and I get compliments regularly on how nice my nails look. I've had no issues with my gel chipping or nails breaking (I get acrylic with gel polish). I've been to most of the techs and they are all very talented. Zen has the best polish color selection of any salon I've ever been to, with regular and gel polishes, as well as powdered dips. Their pedicure options are nice as well, and the chairs and water basins are always kept very clean. My only complaints are the size of the waiting area and wait times: the waiting area is very cramped with few chairs to sit in, and even if you make an appointment you can be left waiting for quite a while. This is especially true Friday thru Sunday, since they are usually slammed with customers. Regardless, Zen Nails is a great little gem of a salon that I highly recommend. read more

I enjoy getting my nails done and doing fun colors and ideas and I always schedules days before so they are more then aware. However I made a appointment at 12 and sat outside due to COVID-19 for 30mins while they watched me. No one even came outside to ask for my name. I tried calling and was sent to voicemail multiple times, I know in the past I've spent hours at Zen while Anne has jumped chair to chair helping others while your left sitting there unattended. A for dedication but if you wanna spend hours at a salon be my guest. 9 times out of the 10 you'll never get in on time and the rude service sometimes can be unwelcoming. Besides the fact that this place is cheap and does a decent job, there are not a lot of pros here. I called in on my way home from work and asked if there was a wait if I went in right away. The lady on the phone responded, "No! Come in right away!". I went in and there were no technicians available, so I waited for 20 minutes for someone to take me. The lady who started doing my nails got up at least 5 times to ring people out, answer the phone, order food on the phone, and wrote the schedule for the following week (mind you, this took 10 minutes). So she would basically just keep getting up to do tasks and leave me with half-filed nails. Anyway, it took about an hour longer than it should have and I will not ever be going back. Just moved to the area from FL and my boyfriend suggested this place bec he heard good reviews from it. I was disappointed. I called and they said accepting walk ins and no wait. I left immediately and I lived less than 5 mins from here. There was about 3 people in front of me. So I waited then a manicure chair opened. They filled my nails and gave me soak container. I had my nails soaking for 25 mins before they started doing color and such. She rushed my whole process and started putting lotion on my hand and I had to remind her to put the flowers on my nails. Daniela clearly hasn't had past nail experiences like I have. They are by far the nicest and friendliest place in Summit County. The owner is so creative and hard working it makes me always want to come back. Not to mention she takes appts.!!! The other two girls are wonderful, the one gave me an awesome pedicure!! I have been a licensed cosmetologist since 2011 so I know all the safety, sanitation, and procedures to running a salon and this one definitely wins in all manners of speaking. Disappointed in my manicure today. I called and made an appointment for 11am today and was brought to my chair to be moved to a different one. Then they didn't begin my manicure until 11:15. She rushed through my dip manicure, making comments on how short some of my nails are, got color on my skin and said "it will come off, see?" As she is scraping my skin with her nails then went to another client and said she'd be back in 15 minutes to finish up. No hand washing between the clients or anything. I've been here before but was so displeased with how my manicure looks and the way she rushed through my service this time that I will not be returning. read more
