Elysian Fields is a beautiful garden in Greek mythology , for this store it's actually named after the mother of the owner, but in reality when you walk through the door you are transported into your own quaint world of sugary delight . Your eyes won't know where to look first . From lovely teas to gifts and decor Everything I have eaten from there has been top notch . Their cakes and shortbreads are made fresh and there is always a rotation for some delicious goody to be on showcase . The staff are so sweet and patient while you ask question about ingredients or flavors . All the fillings for their tats are so fresh and full of flavor their crusts are full of buttery goodness and their buttercreams are so rich and smooth . Writing this review makes me want to head back right now . You should too

Captivating Cannolis (Classic & Pistachio)

I had never been to this bakery before, but had been wanting to try it for quite some time, since I live nearby. I browsed their website and saw that they offer cannolis, one of my dad's favorite desserts (as well as one of mine)! Since Father's Day was coming up, I placed an order for a dozen mini cannolis to bring to our small Father's Day celebration, and I couldn't be happier I did! My dad said they are the best cannolis he has ever eaten, and even my mom, who is not normally a fan, loved them! It was also perfect that the following day was National Cannoli Day, and the cannolis kept nicely in the fridge for us to enjoy more the next day! I must also add that upon picking up my order, I was amazed at the gorgeous interior of the bakery, the equally gorgeous variety of treats sitting in the case, the friendly service and the fact that our cannolis were beautifully boxed! I am looking forward to returning soon to try more of their offerings! Thank you!!!

I love to visit local bakeries when I travel. This place is more than a bakery. It is a whole vibe! Amazing decor. Everything from the showcase of baked goods to the beautiful shelves of tea & candles. I was greeted when a warm smile and lovely hello. Absolute must to indulge in rich flavors of baked goods. I AM IN LOVE with this little spot! The customer service is beyond wonderful and full of life. This little bakery takes you back into time when things were simple and natural and the feel of pure elegance. Take the time to take the quiz online and find your flavors, this is not only a BRILLIANT marketing idea but, ITS SPOT ON and helped me find all the flavors that made me absolutely HAPPY. They have an assortment of goodies from the shortbreads and cupcakes to croissants and eclairs too.. let's not forget the choices in coffee and MY fav.. an assortment of Teas.. this should appeal to all those witch's who love a good brew . By the way.. the tea named such (witch's brew) is AMAZING !!! PLEASE stop into this cute family run business.. you are sure to make it a regular stop, I AM! 11/10/24 - Short version: Food? Excellent! Service? Spot on! Ambiance? Parisian! Should you stop in? Hell yeah! Long version: OMG, the shortbread cookies are the bomb. A friend recommended Elysian Fields because she knows I am a sucker for baked goods and sweets. I live in the west valley, however, so chances of me visiting are slim. It just so happens I was in the area this particular Saturday (hiking) and remembered to stop in. What a lovely little place. It is situated in a strip mall, meaning parking will never be a problem. They have a few tables sitting out on their patio, with a couple menus out there, too. The menus looked a little overwhelming and I was very hungry so I just walked in. Then became overwhelmed at the decisions I would have to make about what goodies to buy. :-) The struggle is real. Ha! The young lady behind the counter was extremely bubbly and polite, taking the time to explain their flavors, their garden, and the perfumes they sell. The decor was well put together and made me reminisce about my trip to Paris years ago. She mentioned they have some drinks to offer, too, but my eyes were glazed over with the food choices. This visit proved I should never visit a bakery hungry. I purchased the almond croissant w/ marzipan, tiramisu bar, pecan pie Danish, butter bundt cake, and seven small shortbread cookies (all different flavors). The croissant was flaky and airy inside w/ just the right amount of marzipan, the orchid shortbread cookie was delicious and it was not as dry as some shortbread cookies are. The tiramisu bar was huge and even being cut into quarters, it was almost too sweet for me. I may have to start hiking more in the east valley, just so I have an excuse to stop into Elysian. They have a reward point system through Cash App, which is a bonus. If you have not tried Elysian, you are missing out.

My husband is a shortbread aficianado so we dropped by this family-owned shop to check it out. One of the owners kindly offered us each a free cookie since it was our first visit, and told us about his family's long history and love affair with baking. I tried a coconut shortbread and an amaretto shortbread. The cookies were both fairly good, but I have to say that I'm a traditional girl. Their menu lacks the option of any simple choices like a classic shortbread or chocolate or vanilla option. They have plenty of floral or other fancy, elaborate choices for you, but that's just not my jam. If they were to add some simple flavors to their case I'd be back. Otherwise, I wish them well.

I went to Elysian Fields for Afternoon Tea with my mom today and we had such an amazing experience! The two women working were great and so attentive, we were promptly seated and served tea with an array of freshly made pastries, cookies, petit fours, and finger sandwiches. Everything was so delicious it was impossible to pick favorites, but we really liked the scones, croissants, macarons, smoked salmon sandwich, and, of course, the tea! They even played classical music while we ate and chatted. I can't recommend Elysian Fields enough for their Afternoon Tea, my mom and I both agreed that this was even better than Afternoon Tea at The Phoenician.

ALL of the food was AMAZING! Service was great, extremely personable staff, very attentive....take pride in what they offer and do! Quaint location, can't say enough about this place. You have to stop by and check it out!

Very strange. I left a negative review recently and it ended up on the "not recommended". My review about the dryness of the cupcakes was very honest and sincere. The cupcakes were pretty but it just didn't work for me. I bake myself at home and mine are much more moist than the $4 cupcakes I purchased. Don't know who decides whether a review on Yelp ends up there or not. This was disappointing that a legitimate and honest review ends up as not recommended. I would not return for the cupcakes, it tasted frozen and then thawed. read more

Amazing cupcake shop! The cupcake on the left was a caramel cupcake, spiced batter and caramel icing with caramel drizzle. The one on the right was cookies and cream, Oreo cookie on the bottom with chocolate batter and cream cheese icing! The cookies and cream was my favorite! They were both amazing, dense cake and fluffy, flavorful icing. Got the chance to meet the owner, super sweet and passionate girl. Definitely translated into her business! I will definitely be back for my future cupcake fix!! read more

AWFUL!! Got a custom cake and it was suppose to be marble. It was super light brown(tasted nothing like chocolate) and vanilla was flavorless as well! EXTREMELY DRY and texture consistency was like it was not even fresh but frozen previously. They stand behind what they made and think everything was wonderful! I passed out pieces of this cake and nobody EVEN ATE IT! They were spitting it out! I got a refund but I'm writing this because if this was for a child's birthday I would be even more livid!! I'd be shocked if this business stayed open more than a few months if that!! read more

Let me just start by saying I consider myself a connoisseur of chocolate cream-filled candy. I've had them from the best chocolatiers, but one bite of a bon bon from this sweet little place put me in a stupor of delight! Seriously, it was the best candy I have ever had. So found this little gem while leaving Nandos across the street. I'm so happy I have a local place! Decor- The store is small in size, enough for customers to come in, order, and leave. Very bright colors and I really loved how it gave off a "clean" store feeling. Food- So, the cupcakes are really good. The frosting or buttercream was amazing. It was dense, but not heavily so. I had the chocolate peanut butter, and it disappeared 10 seconds after the first bite. Just understand these are not huge cupcakes, around the size you'd make at home. Price- So the price can be a little iffy. Cupcakes are $3 each, and they have bundt cakes as well, I don't remember how much they were though. Overall- You have to try it out honestly. They're new, have a rewards program, and feels like a cupcake business I will love to support. read more

I was so excited to see that there's a new cupcake bakery called "Cups and Cakes" now opened near Las Sendas. We stopped by today and picked up 6 different cupcakes to try at home. The owners prepare everything from scratch and it shows in the quality. The cupcakes were super moist with great flavors to choose from. We had the classic vanilla, chocolate mint, salted caramel, vanilla raspberry, peanut butter chocolate and cookie dough. They were all so good! A great big yum!!! I love cupcakes so their sign caught my eye so I had to go in, because you know cupcakes! I bought 4 cupcakes-chocolate peanut butter, vanilla coconut, chocolate vanilla & vanilla w/sprinkles. All of them were moist and light, like the perfect homemade cupcake. The frosting is light to and not too sweet. Great flavor with the exception of the peanut butter frosting, that would be my only negative. It didn't taste right to me. I would definitely go back and order for special occasions! The person helping me was friendly and efficient. I felt the price was fair, cupcakes are perfect size. read more

I stopped in quickly to grab a friend treat for her birthday and a treat for myself! The gentleman who helped me was so kind and upbeat. I was juggling my baby while trying to pay and he was patient, he even hurried around the case to open the door as I left! I have spent the last few years driving a decent distance to my old neighborhood for cupcakes when we had birthday parties, but I decided to check what was around my new home and found Cups and Cakes. I am so glad we gave them a try. The owner is amazing and he happily prepared two additional flavors that were not in the case yet for us. The adults at the party cut these up so we could try several flavors and they were all delicious. I really enjoyed the coconut and going bananas. We will definitely be back! read more

These new owners really have it together and are very friendly and personable. The place is very clean, organized and decorated nicely. We will be stopping by again when in the area. I pretty much never buy baked goods from bakeries. They are rarely ever better than what I can make at home; because the cake is usually way too spongy or dry, and the frosting is almost always WAY too sweet. This place is the BEST! I now have found a bakery that has cupcakes that are perfectly moist, with the perfect balance of sweet in the frosting. (BTW, the Samoa is my favorite so far!) The special occasion cakes are gorgeous as well. ;-) I am a customer for life! Their shop is perfectly decorated and so very nice and clean. The new owners are so sweet and nice too! read more

Stopped in today to check the place out after seeing the sign about there being new owners. I was greeted by the owners with what I assume would be smiles, if it weren't for our COVID masks. They were very nice and told me about all the cupcakes. The selection was great and it was hard to choose which ones to try, but I ended up with a Peanut Butter cupcake, an Orange cupcake and Blueberry Coffee Cake. When I got home, I tried a sample of all three. They were absolutely delicious. The Peanut Butter is my favorite and definitely won't last very long. I can't wait to go back and try other flavors. read more

I went to Cups & Cakes to have a custom cake made for my brother's bachelor party. Madi was super helpful in picking a design that would match the theme of the party and they absolutely nailed it! The cake was definitely a hit with the guests and it tasted every bit as good as it looked. 6/5 would do business with again. Stumbled upon this place as I was searching for a custom cake for my sisters baby shower. I tried out a cupcake and inquired about price and ordered my cake! While ordering from this bakery we were very mislead. The owner told us that she would be able to make the cake an exact replica and when we went to pick it up we were less than thrilled. The cake was very sloppy and looked like it had just been thrown together. There were puddles of fondant all over the place just to try and keep everything in place. It was a cake that was too heavy and they did not secure it at all. It all fell apart. We were really disappointed. We called the bakery and they basically told us to stick some straws in it in order to keep it standing. The cake was very dry and tasteless. We were told that everything on the cake was supposed to be edible and it was not. The majority of the cake was misshaped. It was a huge disappointment. The cake was very much over priced for the way that it turned out. I do not recommend this bakery at all. read more

Delicious!!! I picked up a half dozen assorted cupcakes for visitors. Was so disappointed when my brother ate the lemon coconut that I craved. I ended up going back after he left and getting 4 of just that flavor!! Moist, lemony deliciousness! I have found my go-to place for myself and guests. The salted caramel was awesome as was the strawberry lemonade. read more

Good customer service. Owner is super nice. When I first ate my cupCake it was cold and hard. I let the other half sit for a couple hours and room temperature it tasted way better. Not sure they are fresh, but have potential. read more

To celebrate my birthday, my daughter brought me to Cups and Cakes today. I chose a red velvet brownie cupcake and it did not disappoint! It was almost a brownie on the top, but inside was a moist and flavorful cake, with a delicious cream cheese frosting that wasn't too sweet. Cake was beautiful but their methods are NOT. I ordered a cake from Elysian Fields on 9/8. Although I searched, I could not find any pricing available. I ordered a half of a sheet cake, Red Velvet, with "traditional" frosting. Also wanted a Happy Birthday ________ put on the cake. Pick up was 9/10. Their ordering platform indicated that I had an "appointment at 2:15 pm" to pick up my cake and the TOTAL COST would be $65.00. I thought that was a bit much for a 1/2 sheet cake, but accepted the terms. When I went to pick up the cake, I was told that the $65.00 was just to "hold the appointment time to ensure I arrived to pick up the cake". The cost of the cake was $115.00 (100.00 for the cake and 15.00 for the "Happy Birthday ____________." ) However, since I did show up to pick up the cake, the $65.00 would be applied to the price of the cake and I was informed that I only owed an "additional $50.00". Had I known the total cost of the cake was $115, I would not have purchased it and feel swindled and lulled into thinking that the CAKE price was $65.00 NOT the "appointment price". Definitely need some work on "truth in advertising". Won't purchase from them again. read more

Stopped in to this shop on a whim after getting a pedicure this afternoon. New owners and very friendly. Purchased 1 carrot mini Bundt cake. Have to say, I was more than pleasantly surprised at how flavorful and fresh this cake was. I'm usually not a fan of purchased baked goods, but this cake was so very moist and yummy. It reminded me very much of homemade carrot cake! I will definitely be going back and look forward to trying the lemon and some of the fall flavors that will be available next week. My granddaughter had her first birthday on Sunday and we needed a very special dessert to celebrate the occasion. We found Cups and Cakes in our neighborhood and the owner was so helpful and nice. He had a wide variety of cupcake flavors and colors and they were all beautiful and so delicious. We even cut some of them up for a sampling plate so everyone could enjoy them all. I had to throw a bridal shower for a friend and had the theme of "final fiesta." I contacted Barbie and talk to her about what I needed and the overall look I was going for. This woman, Barbie Berry, is without a doubt the BEST person I know; she's an even better baker. With the help of her friend Sara, they opened this bakery where they share her legacy with the public. They are so nice in there and make some bomb cupcakes and they even do specialty cakes, cupcakes, and cake pops.
