And for the price, I didn't expect that…read more We were having a hell of a time finding a pet friendly room available in the area, so we took what we could get. The lady at the front desk was very friendly. Our room was easy to find, but the parking lot is TIGHT. Be cautious if you have a larger vehicle. One thing that really irritated me - they advertise as pet friendly, and when I called to book, I specified that we needed a pet friendly room and was happy to pay the pet fee. When we arrived, we found that all the grass on the property had been ripped out - maybe they're updating it or something, I don't know. but they really should mention that. It was a real pain finding somewhere for my dog to do it's business - our options were a) in the parking lot or b) in the dirt. I just wish they had mentioned that there was no green space available. Oddly enough, the BEST part of our stay doesn't even exist according to their website. In the FAQs for the hotel it says that there is NOT a pool onsite, but there is. It is an outdoor heated pool and it was INCREDIBLE. The water was so warm, it was really lovely to float around in for a bit before bed.

Definitely not a hotel in the true sense, but far less costly than interior Vancouver stays. Great breakfast as well. Would recommend staying here, especially if you prefer to avoid the crowded, more expensive hotels.

Needing a few fixes around the house, I texted Artem, and he was available within the week! Artem is very competent, polite, easygoing, and takes his shoes off at the door which I appreciate. He also charges very reasonable rates. He's honest about the things he can't do and tells you what you need to make it work and/or gives you options without having to rewire your whole house. The only thing is that consumers should be aware that there is a minimum $210 service fee + tax for the first 1.5 hours, so you need to rack up your to-do list and establish ahead of time what constitutes a follow-up job. Artem is very experienced so super speedy with his work.

5 STAR RATING - Global Energy Electric…read more As a new council president in a very old building, I found myself overwhelmed by the task of hiring the right electrician who would help coordinate and prioritize all the neglected electrical needing upgrades. Thankfully someone recommended Artem from Global Energy Electric and with that introduction, all of my concerns evaporated. Artem toured the building, identified what should be prioritized, submitted competitive quotes, and said he was ready to schedule the work. Once the work started, Artem did not disappoint! The work was completed in a timely manner as promised without delays. I received regular updates. He was easy to contact and his answers to my questions were easy to understand. While Artem was working to complete upgrading the Exit Signs, replacing all the building Common Area Lighting, Emergency Lighting and install Surge Protection, I asked him for a list of all electrical work inside/outside the building for council to discuss and organize to do over time. Again, Artem did not disappoint; he cheerfully agreed and mentioned an outdated electrical upgrade which should be attended to. He was concerned for everyone's safety and recommended it be done asap. Now with the work completed, our owners are smiling, the atmosphere is bright. I no longer feel out of my depth. I have found the right electrician to work with and am confident he will see us through all immediate and future electrical upgrades. Thank you, Artem!

With a mini kitchen, the suite resembles a business extended stay. Great location ~ within close walking distance to a couple shopping malls, grocery store across the street, a couple nice Italian and ramen restaurants with a couple blocks. Chica San Chen bubble tea shop downstairs next to the lobby! Complimentary breakfast was the usual but relaxing mornings with plenty of comfortable seating with window views. The pool and sauna was clean and fun to unwind in the water for this winter stay.

And at the Element Vancouver, that is what we got. "Welcome you two to the Element Vancouver", no haggling over small details. We found our way to our room quickly, and soon appreciated the Element's proximity to Burnaby's many restaurants. You do realize that you are effectively in a major city, with ambulances carousing down Kingsway seemingly at all hours, and the elevators seemed to take forever to 'latch on' to their destination floors, but overall the experience was a positive one. Front desk staff friendly and able to provide with extra supplies. Free breakfast had plenty of fixings, and we had a friendly lady named Crystal give us some of the details of the building during one happy hour. The pool was nice, if a bit overrun by the hockey crowd on the Saturday we were there. Otherwise there were plenty of resources, and the washing and drying machines kept us from having to do laundry on our trip back to San Francisco. Well done, Element Vancouver!
