Please read this review, it involves a Christmas miracle!!! I have never left a review for anything in my life, and I honestly have no affiliation with Electric Avenue whatsoever - but my experience with this company was so incredible that I had to document it. At 11:30 pm on December 23rd, we discovered that our furnace had shut itself off (while it was -2 degrees) and found smoke coming out of our electrical Breaker Box. We were freaked out and desperate, as our kids were asleep in their rooms, right before Christmas, and we were now left with a smoking electrical fire hazard and absolutely no heat in the middle of the freezing night. I began hurriedly reading business reviews online trying to find a 24 hour electrician and came across Electric Avenue completely by chance (I had never even heard of the company before). I called Tyler at Electric Avenue and told him about our predicament. Tyler immediately agreed to come help us and was at our house within 30 minutes (keep in mind that we are now into the early hours of Christmas Eve). Tyler quickly diagnosed the electrical problem with our Breaker Box and stopped the fire hazard, however he informed us that the Breaker that had melted down from the heat was no longer in production (from a company that no longer exists), and that he likely wouldn't be able to get a replacement before Christmas. We were pretty crushed, as this meant we would have no heat during this cold stretch and would have to move out of our house and stay at a hotel with our kids for Christmas. Even thought it was now 1:00 am on Christmas Eve, Tyler was in no rush to leave, but rather told us he wanted to inspect our second Breaker Box just to be thorough (even though he could have easily gone back home to bed, as the job was technically "done"). Here in the second Breaker Box, Tyler found the specific Breaker that we needed, and spent the next hour completely fixing our electrical problem so that we were able to use our furnace. I'm sitting here in my own home with my kids on Christmas Eve, and the only reason I'm able to do that is because Tyler came out in the middle of the night and went above and beyond to help us. I need my outlet move closer to my washer, so i call Electric Avenue after hours. Someone else responded me earlier, then i book an appointment with that other electrician. That other electrician didnt show up, no call no text no reply，and the new washer delivery people have already arrived, i just dont know what to do. While i am very frustrated by the situation, Tyler called back, I told him i have to call him back later, the delivery guys are working on it. End up the delivery guys put an extension cord and left. I call Tyler back telling him i think its fix by an extension cord, and if i do move the machine an inch closer, the cord can actually reach the outlet, but its very tight. Tyler advised i should move the machine closer, dont use an extension cord, it will void my warranty. An hour later, Tyler call again, telling me to move the machine another inch closer, he is worried about the prongs will bent when the cords are too tight, which might cause issues. I really appreciate Tyler called again to ensure the safety of my home eventhough i didnt use his service, and all the good advices he provided. Very professional and recommended, if i do need any electrical services, Tyler will be my first option! read more

During our recent heat spell in May I added an air conditioner to my home office in my master bedroom. Every time I turned on the air conditioner it blew my breaker. Using a surge protection power bar prevented my need as a homeowner to walk from my 3rd floor to my basement. This was Sunday. I saw the excellent reviews on Electric Avenue & called Tyler. He took my call & listened to my situation. With the days getting hotter, my wifes hot flashes were unbearable. He came that Monday. He explained that though this air conditioner rated on machine for 10.5amps & the breaker wiring rated for a max of 15, no air conditioner amperage is as listed. In fact with the tester on the breaker, with just the air conditioner on, it climbed to 14.5amps. Tyler was candid, buy an air conditioner, turn off everything but air conditioner & one other appliance, or have wiring replaced behind drywall for higher amperage. So its Netflix & really be chill. Tyler came right away, took the guesswork out, & we were able to know what our options were. Peace of mind has no $ value. Tyler is a master electrician who is professional, patient, & understanding of his client's needs. We highly recommend him & his company. read more

(I am renovating my kitchen and needed some receptacles moved around and inquired about removing a pole and re locating some switches that were on it) He explained everything before he did it and even explained during the process which went a long way to putting my mind at ease. My ceiling fan in my bedroom was out. I took my dog for a walk and saw his vehicle. I called and he was able to come by that night. He ran diagnostics and was able to tell me what the problem was. I got a replacement fan and made an appointment to get it replaced. He called me earlier than our appointment as he knew I was working from home and came to fix it. We had Tyler come to our townhouse to give us a quote to change our stove from gas to electric, to move the microwave and fridge outlets and to see if it was possible to rewire to put a washer and dryer downstairs in our townhouse and to see if we could upgrade our electrical box. By the time Tyler left he had repaired the loose wire that took out my sockets and lights in the kitchen area, explained how to avoid overloading the circuits , and provided lots of other helpful tips.
