Strawberry Waffles and chicken sausage and choice of eggs
lindsey j.

Food is served super fast I'll say that, so perfect for when you want to have a good breakfast but have plans later on. Was on a weekend but was seated really fast. Food wasn't special or anything, good, but nothing mind blowing. However it's a good place to sit down with family and have nice talks so I still recommend. Nice how pancakes and waffle prices on the menu include choice of meat and two eggs, but you could also just do the pancakes and waffles if that's what you desire for less of the presented price.

Bacon Avocado Hamburger

Not that I thought the experience would be good, went with my elderly parents as they seem to like this location. All food is either frozen, dehydrated, or processed. I preferred the avocado bacon hamburger, bun was crumble and fell a part, two small pieces of avocado one small tomato, one pieces of bacon with about 20 fries. This was embarrassing, the servers was embarrassed to bring it out. This location is dirty, dated, needs overhauled. Not what it once was.

Country fried steak and waffles

We went to Elmers on a Thursday morning around 10:00. Very homey environment and packed. We ordered the Country Fried Steak with eggs lightly scrambled and we ordered the Waffle breakfast with eggs over easy and sausage. We were welcomed when we went into the restaurant and had quick service from our server once we sat down. I ordered the coffee but it wasn't worth it because it tasted watered down and a bit burnt. The country-fried steak was good, but I think that the gravy could have been a bit more flavorful. Hash Browns were soggy in the center, and not evenly cooked at all. I didn't eat them. The service was nice, and the environment was clean, but at the price of the food and the low quality of flavor in the sauces and coffee, I do not think that I would choose Elmers again.

Yummy German pancakes. Surprisingly good traditional breakfast for a chain. Attentive service.

Go to the Broken Yolk instead if you're looking for flavor. If you like Denny's best then this is your place. Not bad but not great.

So we switched it up for our last day in Corvallis. After a not good experience at the Angry Beaver we walked across the street to here. As you walk in the front of the building has a cafe type feel. As you keep walking it and you get to the back half of the establishment it turns into a bar. Very low lit and a couple of TVs that had different games on. Which was nice. The server came out to take our order and she was very friendly. I stuck with one of my usuals with eggs Benedict and my wife did the steak and eggs, hash-browns crispy. Corvallis seems to dig their home fries as I feel like most places have this option. I usually think they're ok, but in this particular instance they were very enjoyable. Extra crispy and all the veggies had were dated a bit longer than usual. The Hollandaise was definitely homemade, but very thick. Had decent flavor and wasn't too tart. My wife's steak was actually cooked perfectly, but her crispy hash-browns came out more like pik-niks(if you know what those are). Overall a decent experience and I would rank #2 out of the 4 breakfasts we've had in Corvallis. Solid choice

I'm going to start off with saying this is the best breakfast in Corvallis. We were in town for…read morethree days and 2 out of the 3 we ate here. I had to come back and order Julia's love child a second time. But we'll get back to that. As we got here we were pleasantly surprised that it was not overly busy(but then we realized it was a Friday). The interior had all sort of wacky decor and was all done up for Halloween. There were framed celebrity photos throughout that included some of their great quotes. Our servers both days(since I'm writing this for both days), were very pleasant and bright(as any breakfast establishment should be). The whole menu in general looked different(and I love that), if I lived here I would probably come here often just to cycle through the menu. But the two times we came I ordered the same thing. Julia's love child. A Benedict that has two poached eggs over home fries mixed with garlic, asparagus and broccoli. Now the thought of veggies that early in the morning to some may not sound appetizing, but I'm a sucker for asparagus and different dishes. It was sooooo good. The hollandaise, which I imagine is made in house was also very flavorful. All of the flavors mixed well, it's a wonder I ordered it two days straight. The funny thing is my wife was eyeballing the same thing on the menu but agreed to order two different other dishes each day. The first day was the German hashbrowns and eggs. Out of this world. Grilled onions and white cheese over hashbrowns and eggs. The only thing that we weren't satisfied with was the side of gravy(which we like to try at all the breakfast places), which was plain and wasn't bad, but we at that point were expecting more just because of the flavor of the other dishes. The second day my wife ordered the Miss Swiss just because she wanted asparagus too in her breakfast. Again, packed full of flavors. Asparagus, mushrooms, garlic. Great stuff. I know when we're back next year this will be one of our stops for breakfast...if not more.

I was really hoping this place was going to be excellent. It was good but not close to great…read more Greeter was very upbeat and nice. Sat us at a small table but moved us to the bar at our request with no issues. Once at the bar service was ok. I ordered coffee and water, wife only ordered water. None of which was ever refilled nor were we asked if we wanted a refill. We ordered breakfast which sounded great at 930 am. Eggs and hash browns were cooked very well. They were also very fresh. Toast was ok and was buttered correctly so the butter melted. The Strawberry jam was excellent!! Here was our issue. The sausage links were horrible at best. Very dry like they were days old frozen sausage from a dollar store. Best way I can describe them. They are NOT fresh in any way. They were like cutting a piece of jerky that was chewy. So make sure you do not order sausage here. Also hope you get refills. If you are just going for eggs, hashbrowns, and toast they will not disappoint. Just do not get thirsty.

The menu is broad enough that there's plenty to pick from. We were there for dinner. The food was delicious! Mom had the grilled cheese with sweet potato fries (they were even good as cold leftovers!!). The sandwich comes with a combo of 3 melted cheeses. Dad had the honey glazed chicken. Also really good. Hubby had the 2-meat BBQ plate with pulled pork and 1/2 rack of ribs. He really liked his ribs. He was pleased with the baked beans, too. And I got the steak salad. Delicious! When trying a new place, I always go for that and I was not disappointed one bit! I tried both the baker's roll (rosemary and sage today) and the heart attack roll. Neither made me think I was eating GF. As first-timers, we were given free chocolate chip cookies. The centers were soft and moist with crisp edges. I do like a ymmy sweet to finish off the meal. It's really nice to have a GF restaurant where the family can all go and find something without compromising selection or taste. We'll certainly be back!!
