I have been coming here ever since the roastery has opened. This is my go to spot when I need to study and need a caffeinated beverage. For this visit, I ordered the strawberry matcha and the egg sandwich with smoked salmon. My friend ordered the Kyoto cold brew. The egg sandwich was really filling and the eggs were really fluffy with cheese inside. The green sauce they spread on the brioche buns was really flavorful and gave the sandwich more flavor. The strawberry matcha has more of a stronger strawberry taste, I think the matcha could be stronger but overall it wasn't too bad. My friend got the Kyoto Cold Brew and she said it was really strong but good. They gave her a side of milk but they recommended to have it black. If you are a huge coffee lover and like strong coffee, the Kyoto is the way to go. The baristas were really nice and the wait time wasn't too long. I've been eagerly anticipating the opening of Elm Roastery & it has not disappointed me. I can't stop raving about them to my friends. - They have an exemplary staff that manages long lines with kindness + efficiency. - The owners personally greet every customer with a hello. - The coffee is SUPERB & the food is DELICIOUS. For those who need a break from their home office on WFH days, this place is perfect if you want something more vibrant surrounding you while managing daily meetings. For families the music is fun +family friendly & the people are awesome, I've brought my newborn here several times. She loved it so much she napped straight through her time here All in all this place has made itself a landmark in Elmhurst in such a short time, I can't wait to see how it progresses! I am so excited that this place has opened up. Ever since Starbucks left there's been no decent place around to get a good latte. On my first trip I had an iced latte, which was tasty. Service was pleasant and efficient. The interior and ambience is minimalistic and stylish. This is a welcome and sorely needed addition to the neighborhood. This place is just what Elmhurst needed-- a local coffee shop with a community centered mission in mind. Good vibes, fantastic drinks, live music on Saturdays and more are supplied here. Complimentary to the drinks is a wonderful selection of toasts. I truly believe they have something for all. They also just expanded their offerings with alcoholic drinks; you can also get their beans which they roast in the back of house. Amazing and wish them much success! PS. Finally a nice little spot within walking distance! It's not a big place so the seating can be limited if it's busy, but i am usually able to find a seat during the times that I go. They've recently rearranged the seating to make the outlets more accessible if you need to plug in your device. Ambiance is nice, but sometimes the background music is a bit too loud if you're working or just want to sit and relax. Staff is friendly and customer service is good. I've had my order messed up once or twice but it's not a consistent issue (everyone has an off day sometimes). Lattes are good, especially iced! Iced rose latte is a must, delicious. Now I'm not a regular coffee drinker, so I always judge cafes by their matcha lattes. Most places get it very wrong - fishy, bitter, watery, too much milk, etc. but theirs gets a thumbs up from me! My only complaint is that they sometimes don't make it warm enough lol, but it actually tastes like matcha and not just green milk. I've actually gone out of my way to get a matcha latte from this place before work, instead of going to the cafe that is across the street from my job. I've never tried the food outside of an occasional pastry so I can't comment on it. Overall I would recommend if you live in the area. read more

I ordered latte/tea there several times and would stay till closing to study. The latte art was beautiful and the coffee was tasty. The hot tea came in a clear teapot and you could pour it into a small teacup. I greatly enjoyed studying there (even if it's a bit loud sometimes) and there are a lot of outlets in the back. The wifi is stable and good. The baristas were friendly and would give suggestions on what to get when I was confused. The bathroom in the back was very clean. The cafe also has free lemon water you can get yourself at the front. Would come again 10/10 read more

Beautiful coffee shop and great customer service. I would come here more often if and only if they just make better coffee. Their hot coffee/lattes tastes okay, but for some reason iced lattes here are not that drinkable for me. My friend and I think it is the espresso being used. I would definitely come back for other items besides coffee though. If lattes were better quality, I would come here all the time. read more
