He asked if I had groceries (in case they needed to be refrigerated). He arrived in about a half an hour. He was so professional and efficient in replacing and switching my tires and then helping me take the tire to the tire shop. He checked my skinny spare and made sure it was properly inflated and also checked my battery to make sure it was in good health. Patrick also educated me on my skinny spare. Did you know that you aren't supposed to go over 50 miles and over 50 mph? I didn't. So now I know to not go on the freeway and to not go galavanting until my tire is repaired and put back on my car. Got stuck truck came in and they send me wrong truck CHP spoke to them and clearly told them he just needs to be winched out as well as the customer. Driver came out so rude and dispatch got mouthy with CHP and customer so you guys treat your ex employee like this it's unbelievable and bad service so am gonna talk to the owners about this because i know you guys most good and rest are awful you customers depend on your services this awful really horrible service(s) from the reliable company in the city i live in one of them. I ran over a wire that got stuck in my right rear tire. I was only a block away from home so I returned home and I called AAA. Hans Werner gave me good service . He put on the spare tire for me and I was able to take the tire to Costco to get it repaired. He was here very quickly and was very courteous. read more

Called in to place a tire changing service at 8:30pm. They estimated 2 hour wait time. So we have been waiting in our car for the driver to arrive. Now they are telling us it will be another 3 hours. Which puts us at 2:30am. Are you kidding me? They totally wasted our time tonight. We could have gone home and left the car there. Extremely unprofessional service - Do not use this service if Tow truck, Driver, "Juan" is the driver. Not trustworthy at all. A police officer called for me and told me to cancel my call to AAA. The tow driver was there in 30 minutes. When my car was loaded on to the truck and I was in the cab, "Juan" said my AAA card would not work and that I had to pay for the tow. I explained that the police officer told me to cancel my call to AAA and that his call would get a tow truck to help me sooner. The officer said my AAA card would work. Juan refused to drive and it wasn't until I said I would call AAA, that he called his dispatch. I had to talk to his dispatcher to convince him to tell "Juan" to drive me. He asked me about my car failure experience, gave me his assessment of what might have happened, visually inspected the car, showed me some proof of what he expected happened and made sure my car was out of my drive way without any scratch. Started my morning by getting in my RAV-4, hitting the starter and silence! We quickly called AAA and Ciano Mendoza from Ellison's Towing showed up within a half hour to give a jump start to my depleted battery. (I had left an internal cab light on.) I give Ciano and Ellison's a top rating because he tested my electrical system health and offered me options to correct my problem. EXTREMELY SATISFIED? CHECK!!! So I sit down at my desk after returning my lunch and realize... I HAVE 45 MINUTES BEFORE A BIG MEETING STARTS THAT I AM SUPPOSE TO BE CATERING SNACKS/DRINKS FOR! I had completely forgotten. OMG So I run downstairs, hop in my car and drive to Whole Foods for a 5 minute shopping spree! I'm in - I'm out - and I'm on my waIT-A-MINUTE!!! My car won't start!? "I can NOT believe this is happening to me right now!!!" I screamed in panic throwing my keys on the floor of my car in the grocery store parking garage... With no time to spare I quickly pulled it together and called AAA. I told them I was in a desperate situation and needed to leave my car there in the hopes I could trust they send someone out to tow my car to my mechanic without me waiting around. They quickly entered my info and alerted a driver to get to me asap. My call was at 2:38pm. As soon as I hung up I called a co-worker to come pick me (and all the food/drink for the meeting) up ASAP as well. My co-worker got to me and we started to unload the car. Just as we emptied the last bags from the back of my SUV - THERE HE WAS! Constantin - the driver!!! Within 9 minutes of my original call for help, Constantin of Ellison's towing had arrived in his bright & shiny (Yellow & Blue) armor to save me (my car)! He was smiling as he drove up and one of the most jovial tow truck guys I've met. He had us both laughing with his jokes about "No problem - he can do ANYTHING - this is what he does" while we were trying to figure out how on EARTH he planned on getting my car out of this ridiculously tight corner of the parking garage when it was facing the wrong way... :/ He assured me that I was fine to head back to work and not to worry. Particular thanks goes to the driver, Luis Cevallos, who was caring, thoughtful and helpful as I dealt with the trauma of being hit. He definitely deserves 5 stars! Be aware that the office is only open Monday-Friday. We were told on the phone when we called on Saturday that it was open, only to be subsequently informed when we arrived that a supplemental charge was required to gain access to our car. AAA sent out Ellison for a battery service call. My 5 year old battery died in my car and I was stuck... the driver was great. Timely. Friendly. Courteous. The problem came with the charges.... it's the most expensive I've ever ever paid for battery service using my CSAA services. They also charge a $6.10 "convenience fee" to run your credit card. I asked if they would reverse this as I know exactly what it's for... The "dude" on the phone said they don't control this... the CC company charges them this... yes. that's called cost of doing business. Why punish the consumer??? wah wah... and I don't have 25 years business experience. They charge it to pass on the VISA, MC or AMEX processing fee costs so they don't have to absorb that "cost of doing business." Terrible. The battery service was already $178. then add on a consumer fee of $6.10... awful. And it's not about the $$$ ... it's the principle and I don't care if the link they texted had it in fine print. Does your driver take cash??? Maybe so.. but who pays in cash these days. Ask for a different company if CSAA send you them. OR pay with cash... ;-) read more

After I very intelligently locked my keys in my trunk, I called Honda Roadside for a lockout service. They initially gave me a time estimate of 119 mins and I was horrified! But 2 mins later, I received a text saying my service request was redirected to Ellison's Towing! I promptly received a phone call from the driver, Christian, who arrived in 10 mins to the scene (I was at the Trader Joe's in Palo Alto). Christian found me easily in the parking lot and swiftly opened my window with a handheld air pump device, then used a long wiry tool to press the trunk open button... within seconds, I was rescued and my keys were back!!! Especially during these pandemic times, I was nervous they'd be understaffed and unresponsive but they were anything but! Christian showed up wearing a mask and we kept our distance at all times. I didn't call them directly. However, I got a free service (not a tow) through AAA because of two flat rear tires a couple of weeks ago. It was time to replace my tires anyway. That's what happens when your brother ships five heavy boxes full of dumb crap like heavy music speakers and other insanely heavy stuff to you from South Korea before returning to the SFBA. You put those heavy boxes in your car and the next thing that happens: the rear tires go flat for the first time ever. Avoid! Avoid! - spare yourself the pain and don't get your battery replaced by them!!!! The installed a bad battery and then would not fix it because they said their "app" says its fine.... it's not fine if the car won't start.... Went to Autozone - they confirmed the battery was bad and replaced it in 5 minutes. AAA called to find out more details on why things went so badly with Ellison - they told me you can ask AAA to send another tow company when you call. read more

Got a tow from Carlos Nerimora from Ellison's Towing this morning. He's a rock star!! I called AAA for a tow and they gave me an estimate of 55 minutes for a tow. Carlos was here in 10 minutes. He was professional, friendly and considerate. It wasn't an easy tow, either. My car wouldn't move, not even in neutral with the parking brake off. Carlos had it up on his flatbed in less than 5 minutes. He gave me a ride to the shop in his truck, which was clean and comfortable. I think he could tell I was worried about the car, and he and I just had kinda talked on the way there. He's a good guy! And he dropped the car off in just the right spot at the mechanic.
