But on my way out of the neighborhood I decided to stop in to Stone's Ace Hardware store at Casa View and I was overjoyed to find every single item that I needed, even the concrete-look spray paint for some planters that are getting a new life. Stone's staff is super friendly and helpful and although the store isn't very big, they're eager to help you find what you need quickly and answer any questions that you may have. I was also thrilled to find a new BBQ spice rub now that we're doing a lot more grilling and smoking with the warmer temperatures. Maegan was extremely rude when I came in for a color adjustment. While I was promised free…read moreadjustments in the event the color did not match (it didn't even though I provided the exact formula), she informed me that the original mixer did not follow the formula of semi-gloss and instead gave me a satin in a lighter shade (I was uninformed that they would be mixing it with a different base). She refused to fill it with the correct paint and instead tried to get me to buy another quart. After a bit of back and forth, she offered $10 off the new quart, but it wasn't about the money for me. It was the principal of standing by your match guarantee and taking care of a customer. She then tried to tell me I only paid $11, while my bank record showed nearly $40. She refused to look at my screen receipt when I showed her. While I like working with Sherwin-Williams under normal circumstances, this interaction made me never want to return. It's ridiculous to not make an exception to your "non refundable color" rule if it was mixed improperly and if the associate did not inform me that samples only come in satin, so the color would not have matched the formula I provided no matter what. Seems like they just want a quick buck.

I needed some parts for a faucet that I am rebuilding, and this was the only place that I knew of that might have what I needed. I am not an expert in rebuilding faucets or the parts but thankfully, these people are! I came in and had my old parts with me, and they knew exactly where to go and what to get to fix what I needed. I had my parts in no time and some guidance on how to perform the repair. It is almost impossible to come in here for the parts section and not be lured into the show room. In fact, it's a big open gateway from the parts area to the show room and so it's kind of natural to wander into there. When I did that was when I was met by a sales person named, Mariam. I have a kitchen faucet situation where the faucet that is in my kitchen that needs to be replaced is kind of an old-school faucet, and I have had difficulty finding options to replace it and yet I want to replace it with something similar because of the holes that are drilled in my granite countertops. Mariam was quick to find me solutions and even had a few different options that I can go with. She was knowledgeable and helpful and very pleasant to work with. I have not yet fully decided what I'm going to do, so I held back from ordering one on this particular visit, but I will not hesitate to come back either for the parts to rebuild my old one like I am doing with the bathroom faucet or buy a entire new faucet.
