Nice place recently expanded and renovated. Coffee was great and my Breakfast Skillet was delicious. I look forward to another visit soon!

Casual, local, family owned diner. They use to serve dinner but now it's just breakfast and lunch. Our server was nice and took our order promptly. The food was prepared quickly. The menu is very reasonably priced. It was $17 all in for a Denver omelette and a 2 egg/sausage plate. Both included potatoes and toast. Cash or credit. Easy street parking. Best breakfast place in the area.

Overly salty chicken noodle soup

Yeah, I saw the many positive reviews. When I'm on the road, I seek the kinds of places that locals flock to. I didn't plan on writing a negative review, but I must be honest. I dined here on a weekday with a group of friends. For openers, too much seating is crammed into this tiny place. I'm not claustrophobic, but I sure felt squeezed. Most menu items here cost under $10, with just a single item exceeding $12. If this seems remarkably inexpensive compared to prices of diner chow elsewhere, adjust your expectations accordingly. Those who ordered the most basic egg and pancake dishes seemed satisfied. Ditto burgers. The coffee was good. Everything else? Read on ... I and a companion ordered turkey club sandwiches. Served with a bowl of soup and fries (we substituted fresh fruit), the price was a mere $9. The chicken noodle soup, which packed a beyond-salty wince-inducing wallop, was actually the best part of the meal. Then our club sandwiches arrived. While they looked pretty on the plate, they were wholly inedible: Soggy toast, undercooked bacon, overripe tomatoes, and imitation turkey-ish lunchmeat loaf. Beyond disgusting. The fruit was edible except for the watermelon. Rejecting the sandwiches uneaten, my companion ordered a burger and I dug into an app sampler. I found the onion rings to be excessively greasy and the mozzarella sticks contained more crust than filling. Only the chicken tenders were edible. Other lunch items were similarly problematic. Our friends described their eggs Benedict and a chicken salad sandwich as "the absolute worst." Since our server managed to be both pleasant and stoic, I'm giving this joint 2 stars instead of 1.

What a cute downtown- and Elizabeth's is right on the main drag. Great tables outside, friendly and fast service, and LARGE and yummy salads!

Nice small town square restaurant

This looked like a good place to stop for breakfast on my way to IL so I stopped by on a Sunday morning at 7:15 and the place was 80% full so I chose the right place. I like how it was decorated with woods and stone accents. They have a mix of breakfast counter, tables and booths and I chose a booth. The menu is typical WI breakfast so it's not a Greek phone book but something for everyone. Lots of good stuff but I'm a sucker for country fried steak even if next to no one serves a home made one anymore so frozen will be ok. My food arrive at an appropriate time frame for how busy they were and the sizzling grill sound never stopped while I was there. My country fried steak breakfast looked good and a nice way to start my day even though rainy IL weather canceled my out door plans. The country fried steak was cooked to golden perfection and topped with can country gravy which was mild. My hash browns with fried onions were delicious. My sunny side up eggs were cooked perfectly. My sourdough toast was weird because it was super crunchy and lacked the chew of sourdough toast, I didn't understand what happened there. Overall it's a nice breakfast place and if you get there too late you might have to wait for a table on the weekends.

Savory Swedish Pancakes

Best breakfast spot in Walworth County! Incredible food, my favorites are the green eggs and ham Benedict (pesto eggs Benedict with avocado) and the savory Swedish pancakes! They recently renovated, expanding into the next door business which opened up quite a bit of space and reduced wait times for a table significantly! Super fast and friendly service - I have never had a bad experience here. Such a friendly, local vibe, make sure to check it out if you are in the area - you will not be disappointed!

We had read good things, and it was worth the 15 minute wait for breakfast! Great breakfast food in a bustling but cute atmosphere.

The staff is always nice, especially when my card was not working, and they tried everything, almost to the point of restarting the Square reader. The decorations are always amazing, especially upstairs in the venue. I highly suggest coming here if you want some coffee or ice cream while supporting small businesses.

My coworkers and I were very excited to see Friends Coffee Shop announce their new banana bread…read morelatte on Facebook. We talked about it throughout Friday, Saturday, and Monday at work and even mentioned it to several people who came into our workplace, commenting on how appealing the new drink looked. On Tuesday morning around 8:00 a.m. I went out of my way to stop by the coffee shop to pick up four banana bread lattes so my coworkers and I could enjoy a treat together. An older woman greeted me and took my order. When I requested four drinks, she responded with "Four?" and loudly called out to another employee that she would need help. I paid and stepped aside to wait. Shortly after, while assisting the customer behind me, the same employee stated aloud, "We just took a large order and it's probably going to be a little bit of a wait." I was very taken aback by this comment. I did not feel that four drinks constituted a large order, nor did I expect it to cause a significant delay. The comment made me feel uncomfortable, as if I were being blamed for slowing down the store or disrupting the flow of service. The younger gentleman working was very kind and professional, repeatedly reassuring her that it was not a big deal and that everything would be fine. Unfortunately, as this is not the most convenient coffee stop for me, being treated this way made the experience disappointing--especially when there are nearby options like Starbucks or Dunkin' where service is consistently friendly and welcoming. Moving forward, I will likely choose those alternatives to avoid starting my day with unnecessary stress or negative interactions.

You'll either LOVE this store, or it won't be your jam at all…read more Remember When presents as a Vintage store and that's sort of true. But the vast majority of stock is "collectibles" like Xmas village items, Betty Boop, The Office & Wizard if Oz toys etc. It's not my jam, but if you are into: cookie jars, Fiestaware or Xmas village stuff I recommend a visit. They had tons of stuff in these categories - lots of new/old stock Fiesta especially.

Nice shop, sadly my visit wasn't as nice as it could have been…read more I drove over 3+ hrs and after some time in the shop looking I needed to use a restroom. One employee seemingly told me they were waiting on a plumber so I had no choice but to walk down to the corner gas station to use the restroom which was really inconvenient since I had injured my foot, it was swollen and bruised. Upon returning to the shop, I never seen a plumber for the 2+hrs I looked around in the shop. When I checked out, as I waited for my 5-items the nicer of the 2-employees checked out another woman who had 2-items and spent less than $30 dollars, the woman asked to use the restroom and the employee told her oh let me get the keys??? The employee proceeded to ask for the key as I stood right there from the very same employee that told me they were waiting on a plumber??? Then the nicer employee escorted the woman to the shops restroom??? It must be pretty privileged to be able to use the shops bathroom as I had to walk down the street to use the gas station. What really is the worst is that I had spent $248+ dollars and I couldn't be shown the same kindness that is seemingly selective. Being the bigger person is sometimes hard to do as others in my shoes would not have spent a penny in that shop simply because of the bias selective treatment but the 3-items were gifts for my mom as mother's day is this weekend and the other 2-items were for my future grandkids. Its important to sow goodness as what we sow in life is what we shall reap so the employee at this shop really needs to re-think twice before you pick and choose which customers may use the shop's restroom as I the customer can also choose to spend or not spend my money which earns your living. I always leave reviews when traveling as it helps others when traveling I have over a million views and I can honestly say, I've been treated so much better.
