The coffee shop has a choice of seating, including regular tables and a small lounge area, where there are couches and tables with a chess board and tic tac toe game. So cute! We enjoyed our lattes and I also had a delicious blueberry muffin. We noticed that the coffee shop is connected to a small grocery store from the inside, and walked through to check it out. The store carries a variety of items, including wines and containers of hummus made by another local restaurant owner. While browsing, we discovered there is also a sandwich counter, which features a menu board with wraps and sandwiches made from Boar's Head meats. Right away, we decided to return later for lunch. When we returned for lunch, the place was really busy. We waited in line to order sandwiches and had a choice of eating outside or back in the coffee shop. Normally we'd opt for outdoors, but we'd just spent a couple of hours walking around Kishwauketoe in the heat, so we decided to eat inside. Good choice! When we walked back to the coffee bar side of the building, we discovered a bar that I hadn't previously noticed and were invited to a free wine tasting. While we ate our sandwiches, a friendly bartender poured us samples of several wines, telling us about each one while also entertaining us with personal stories. It was so much fun. This place is full of character and local charm. The staff told us they're going to build a new location across the street next year. Sounds like a good opportunity for them, and I hope the new spot will keep the qualities that make the original place great.

We talked about it throughout Friday, Saturday, and Monday at work and even mentioned it to several people who came into our workplace, commenting on how appealing the new drink looked. On Tuesday morning around 8:00 a.m. I went out of my way to stop by the coffee shop to pick up four banana bread lattes so my coworkers and I could enjoy a treat together. An older woman greeted me and took my order. When I requested four drinks, she responded with "Four?" and loudly called out to another employee that she would need help. I paid and stepped aside to wait. Shortly after, while assisting the customer behind me, the same employee stated aloud, "We just took a large order and it's probably going to be a little bit of a wait." I was very taken aback by this comment. I did not feel that four drinks constituted a large order, nor did I expect it to cause a significant delay. The comment made me feel uncomfortable, as if I were being blamed for slowing down the store or disrupting the flow of service. The younger gentleman working was very kind and professional, repeatedly reassuring her that it was not a big deal and that everything would be fine. Unfortunately, as this is not the most convenient coffee stop for me, being treated this way made the experience disappointing--especially when there are nearby options like Starbucks or Dunkin' where service is consistently friendly and welcoming. Moving forward, I will likely choose those alternatives to avoid starting my day with unnecessary stress or negative interactions.

Nice shop, sadly my visit wasn't as nice as it could have been…read more I drove over 3+ hrs and after some time in the shop looking I needed to use a restroom. One employee seemingly told me they were waiting on a plumber so I had no choice but to walk down to the corner gas station to use the restroom which was really inconvenient since I had injured my foot, it was swollen and bruised. Upon returning to the shop, I never seen a plumber for the 2+hrs I looked around in the shop. When I checked out, as I waited for my 5-items the nicer of the 2-employees checked out another woman who had 2-items and spent less than $30 dollars, the woman asked to use the restroom and the employee told her oh let me get the keys??? The employee proceeded to ask for the key as I stood right there from the very same employee that told me they were waiting on a plumber??? Then the nicer employee escorted the woman to the shops restroom??? It must be pretty privileged to be able to use the shops bathroom as I had to walk down the street to use the gas station. What really is the worst is that I had spent $248+ dollars and I couldn't be shown the same kindness that is seemingly selective. Being the bigger person is sometimes hard to do as others in my shoes would not have spent a penny in that shop simply because of the bias selective treatment but the 3-items were gifts for my mom as mother's day is this weekend and the other 2-items were for my future grandkids. Its important to sow goodness as what we sow in life is what we shall reap so the employee at this shop really needs to re-think twice before you pick and choose which customers may use the shop's restroom as I the customer can also choose to spend or not spend my money which earns your living. I always leave reviews when traveling as it helps others when traveling I have over a million views and I can honestly say, I've been treated so much better.

I guess that works out great for senior citizens especially ones that don't like technology! So after explaining to the young lady in the line that takes your order, what we were interested in, we figured out the drinks. I wanted a large green tea with mango pineapple flavoring. Iced tea. What I got was a cup with at least 3/4 filled with ice cubes for seven bucks! I mean, I like ice in my drinks, but that was like more than double! Not only was at all ice, but the flavors taste diluted. It was basically a water down drink. My girlfriend wanted the mocha Frappuccino cooler I guess is what it's called. She said after a while her drink tasted diluted also. The competition usually ask you if you like whipped cream and drizzle on on her drink, but they never asked her and I guess she assumed she was getting it and didn't. The place is super dated and dumpy with booths and tables with a small breakfast menu. The meat lovers skillet sounded good with ham, bacon and sausage topped with cheese two eggs and toast. My service was great with no complaints and my food came quick. My meat lovers skillet looked a little pathetic because most of the ham was thin sliced sandwich ham and not diced ham like I have always had like they ran out of ham and there was very little sausage In it, see my pictures. The skillet was ok with nicely cooked potatoes and but it was not a good example of a meat lovers skillet like I had last weekend. My eggs were cooked perfect sunny side up that I made my toast sandwich with. My meat lovers skillet would have better if it had equal amounts of bacon, sausage and ham and had more sausage and diced ham and not loaded up with thin sliced sandwich ham.
