Outside there are a few café tables, and inside there are a few more tables and chairs. To me, having a coffee shop and a tanning salon together is a great idea. They also sell ice cream, bulk coffee, and small gifts. I got a friendly greeting from the barista and ordered my usual London Fog Tea Latte (little vanilla, little lavender, extra foam). I would have liked it in a mug, but drinks are only served in cups. I also got a white chocolate raspberry scone, which I accepted the offer to have warmed up. The London Fog was good and had lots of nice microbubbles in the foam. The scone was just okay. They use frozen Pillsbury scones baked on-site, and the texture was more like a muffin. After sitting inside for a while, the noise level became uncomfortably loud. The combination of low ceilings, small space, and loud voices (both kids and adults) made staying inside intolerable. Luckily, it was a nice day, so we moved outside, which was a big improvement. Overall, a lively small-town hangout, great service, but not the best choice if you are looking for a quiet coffee spot.

Staff was super kind and welcoming when I walked in, and had no issues changing/updating my order when I discovered they had an incredible list of holiday drinks instead of my boring old latte. My Gingerbread Latte was soooo decadent and a welcome treat on such a cold and icky morning. I arrived when they first opened in the morning, in a snowstorm, during finals week... so I was the only one there that I could see, but they do have tons of space to sit down at a table or curl up in a comfy seat... and multiple rooms. It's a very homey spot that I certainly recommend checking out.

There's a nice place serving this delicious ice cream near our Bay Area home, but there were only 9 or 10 flavors, and a lot of repeats. Not so at Scoops! They proudly serve 48 flavors of Chocolate Shoppe ice cream! You could easily take a loooong time deciding on what flavor to try. In this case, we both opted for Turtle, a flavor we had never seen in CA. It's vanilla ice cream with caramel, fudge and pecans mixed in. Yum. Located conveniently in the downtown of Lake Geneva, it was walking distance from our hotel. I only wish we had a Scoops in California.

Very classic ice cream shop spot in downtown Lake Geneva! A perfect place to stop at after dinner…read morefor a little treat. This ice cream shop has so many options, anything from a classic vanilla to different local flavors and if you're a chocolate lover, they have so many varieties of mixed-in flavors with oreos, brownies, peanut butter cups, pretzels, etc. in many different combinations. I went for the Raspberry Rhapsody, a black raspberry ice cream with a raspberry swirl and chocolate raspberry truffle-like chocolates mixed in. It was absolutely delicious! We also tried to blue moon which is a classic. The ice cream here has a very interesting texture to it, while its very creamy it has a very unique "stretchiness," almost gumminess, and is rather thick. The taste was good, just a rather unique texture that we actually both individually commented on across different flavors. The service was wonderful, very quick. There was almost no line (though we were there on a fall evening). There are about 4-5 tables of 4ish seats outside so this isn't a spot that you'll sit down in the ice cream shop for a while. I imagine most people "grab and go" and walk down to the water which is just across the street. Overall, would definitely recommend trying this spot in downtown Lake Geneva if you're looking for a sweet treat!

We received both and they were not a smoothie consistency at all, one in particular was extremely watery, not filled up all the way, and not very cold. Not a super huge deal at all as it can be remade. We asked a female employee to remake them or just reblend with ice. She was VERY irritated about it, took five min to reblend the most watery one and left a large portion of the smoothie in the blender because she didn't put it in a larger cup to account for the ice that adds volume. She refused to blend the second one at all with more ice saying "it's supposed to be that way" and was super rude to us, like more rude than I have experienced with an employee in a long time! We were polite and reasonable with our request. I have been a barista before and have made many smoothies and fraps--I can't express how easy it is to simply remake a drink or at the very least add some ice. It didn't warrant at all that kind of reaction... especially for $10.50 each and after tipping well. I'm just so stunned over that interaction. Very put off by that experience as locals! It's a great location next to Pilates right downtown but I can't imagine coming back if 1) the smoothies ARE supposed to be like that 2) they are so expensive 3) the staff is unaccommodating and rude. I will say the young guy who was on the register was very nice though although he is the one that made the drinks. However it did get busy and the female staff member was not helping him at all. Again... not a big deal on his end at all, things can be easily remade but we should not be treated with such hostility for a reasonable request.
