I have mixed feelings. I used to enjoy a smoothie from OR but I agree with the reviews about the poor service times and staff being TOO "chill." Most visits take far too long, especially if there is more than one customer. The employees act as though they believe that the customers have unlimited time so they will chit chat or lallygag. This is a service based business so there needs to be a balance between "friendliness" and timeliness. I realize it's not a fast food joint but no one wants to wait 10-15 minutes for a smoothie or to simply pay for stocked items. This is the reason I don't shop here frequently anymore. read more

I'm usually the last person to complain about service but it's legitimately bizarre here. Last time we went in it wasn't even clear who was working, people in street clothes kept going behind the counter to make themselves drinks and despite confirming we were waiting, nobody would take our order, the only actual customers in the store, for about 10 minutes, then the one thing that needed to be made took another 10 minutes while we watched them mostly just talk and make their own drinks. This is now the third time I've gone here after many positive experiences where I leave without anything! It seems like the staff is either extremely high or just lack a complete sense of urgency. I stood in line for maybe 15 minutes while employees were just lollygagging. I'm not trying to be ignorant or think the world revolves around me, however, leaving the gym and already feeling kind of dizzy and hungry. I would expect to receive a smoothie within 5 to 6 minutes of getting there. My last experience I know lie waited roughly 35 minutes. Again, not trying to be rude as this is an incredible small business, but get it together. It's not bad enough that one smoothie with a scoop of protein is really expensive but you have to wait an extremely long time for it? I'll make it at home instead. read more

I highly do not recommend their smoothies or any other foods due to the lack of hygiene. They use the same gloves and do not wash their blender after every use. Due to this, my mom and I got food poisoning. I have mentioned to them about it, but it seems like there was no action taken to prevent the contamination, plus, they get distracted way too much! Finally got in here after years of wondering if anything would occupy this space, then wondering if it was open, then wondering if it was any good. And it is! Almost every smoothie sounds worth trying, but you'll be spending a bit of pocket change to do so. That's the cost of healthy eating and responsibly-sourced ingredients, but it may be too large a barrier to entry for some folk. In addition to the smoothies, there are drinks, and sandwiches/wraps that are available for quick service. But the majority of the store is dedicated to health products ranging from teas and honeys, to supplements and protein powders. They have mushroom coffee, people, the very thought of which keeps me up at night; no, not do to some osmotic caffeine magic, I just don't really like mushrooms. so I don't know how often I'll make it in, but I'm glad a place like this exists. I hope its roots are well-established and that it'll stay and flourish here in the community. read more

This place is going to go places. They have the best healthy smoothies around the town so far. They've just recently come up with all vegan wraps. The ingredients used are so fresh. Their smoothies and wraps contain the best possible fresh ingredients such as organic fruits and micro greens. They have an array of herbal supplements and spices from all over. Tried Organic Rootz today. Felt in the mood for a smoothie. Got the #9, Acai blast. Very purple! It lacked a little sugar despite all the berry goodness that had. But overall seemed like a quality smoothie. Price was reasonable, $8 plus tax for an 8oz, and I think they are about $10 for a bigger size. I waited a little long as the employee making the smoothie was taking care of other customers. The store also has a bunch of other organic type stuff - vitamins, honey, etc. A little on the pricey side. Would recommend. read more

Love this place. so many delicious, healthy food options as well as juices and smoothies. I've tried so many things off their menu and can't wait to try more. I love coming here to get smoothies. So healthy and fresh. If you do want to stop here I would say stop with time since it is a small business, there's usually only like 2 people working. You'll spend like $10 with out any add ons on each drink ( but where wouldn't you) so we only come here once in awhile. If I had money I would probably come here all the time !! They are often offering samples of different items to try, and everything I have tried from here is absolutely fresh, healthy, and delicious! It's been a long time since the Algonquin, Dundee area has seen a shop that provides health centered food. Today was my first day stopping by but I have been eyeing this place for quite a bit now. I can assure you I will be frequenting this shop after every one of my morning runs to break my fast with one of their antioxidant rich, high fiber, organic, never processed, delicious smoothies. Such friendly service, the owner gave me samples of both their buckwheat and normal honey, and I was able to try the different micro greens as well. I got the Protein Punch smoothie and the Loaded Toast. I have a peanut allergic and I was nervous for cross contamination but the staff made sure I would be okay.
