Love this place so much! Always fresh and great service. Have been coming here for years! read more

I have mixed feelings. I used to enjoy a smoothie from OR but I agree with the reviews about the poor service times and staff being TOO "chill." Most visits take far too long, especially if there is more than one customer. The employees act as though they believe that the customers have unlimited time so they will chit chat or lallygag. This is a service based business so there needs to be a balance between "friendliness" and timeliness. I realize it's not a fast food joint but no one wants to wait 10-15 minutes for a smoothie or to simply pay for stocked items. This is the reason I don't shop here frequently anymore. read more

I'm usually the last person to complain about service but it's legitimately bizarre here. Last time we went in it wasn't even clear who was working, people in street clothes kept going behind the counter to make themselves drinks and despite confirming we were waiting, nobody would take our order, the only actual customers in the store, for about 10 minutes, then the one thing that needed to be made took another 10 minutes while we watched them mostly just talk and make their own drinks. It feels like they're recording a sitcom about friends who work at a cute little shop and you're intruding. read more

This is now the third time I've gone here after many positive experiences where I leave without anything! It seems like the staff is either extremely high or just lack a complete sense of urgency. I stood in line for maybe 15 minutes while employees were just lollygagging. I'm not trying to be ignorant or think the world revolves around me, however, leaving the gym and already feeling kind of dizzy and hungry. I would expect to receive a smoothie within 5 to 6 minutes of getting there. My last experience I know lie waited roughly 35 minutes. Again, not trying to be rude as this is an incredible small business, but get it together. It's not bad enough that one smoothie with a scoop of protein is really expensive but you have to wait an extremely long time for it? I'll make it at home instead. read more

Finally got in here after years of wondering if anything would occupy this space, then wondering if it was open, then wondering if it was any good. And it is! Almost every smoothie sounds worth trying, but you'll be spending a bit of pocket change to do so. That's the cost of healthy eating and responsibly-sourced ingredients, but it may be too large a barrier to entry for some folk. In addition to the smoothies, there are drinks, and sandwiches/wraps that are available for quick service. But the majority of the store is dedicated to health products ranging from teas and honeys, to supplements and protein powders. They have mushroom coffee, people, the very thought of which keeps me up at night; no, not do to some osmotic caffeine magic, I just don't really like mushrooms. so I don't know how often I'll make it in, but I'm glad a place like this exists. I hope its roots are well-established and that it'll stay and flourish here in the community. read more

Always great! I love the employees and the amazing healthy options. Everyone is so helpful and there's lot of community activity displayed on the counter read more

The guy that runs it is amazing, he helped me pick out a homeopathic medicine for my allergies! :) Can't wait to try it. The smoothie tastes great although a little pricey at $9 but they are super healthy and organic so if you don't mind paying a bit more than other places it's worth it. read more

This place is going to go places. They have the best healthy smoothies around the town so far. They've just recently come up with all vegan wraps. The ingredients used are so fresh. Their smoothies and wraps contain the best possible fresh ingredients such as organic fruits and micro greens. They have an array of herbal supplements and spices from all over. The place very clean and straight forward. It's a place worth going if you are the healthy freak then this is it!!! read more

Took way too long. She talked instead of working. Tastes pasty. No good service. Owner was there and did nothing.

I love this unique place. I recommend to everyone. I love everything is organic and plant based. The owner rocks and staff is usually nice and talkative. The price is high so it's a treat but their juices, smoothies and food are great! read more

Horrible experience! Took forever and they filled and took phone orders before making my food while I was in person waiting. NEVER AGAIN!

Amazing delicious smoothies, will be back to try more (so many sounded so good) - quality ingredients, well worth the investment. read more

Organic Rootz - a hand holding a smoothie in a plastic cup - Juice Bars & Smoothies Near Me - Algonquin, Illinois

This is one of my new favorite stops when I roll through town to visit my parents. The ladies are always slingin' smoothies with a smile! Highly recommend Maaz's milk and the Açaí blast. #MakeATrip&LeaveATip read more

It's good but they take a very long time to make the order, so if you're in a hurry or going to work skip it because even if you order over the phone it won't be ready. They also start everyone's order out of order is its kind of a mess. read more

Tried Organic Rootz today. Felt in the mood for a smoothie. Got the #9, Acai blast. Very purple! It lacked a little sugar despite all the berry goodness that had. But overall seemed like a quality smoothie. Price was reasonable, $8 plus tax for an 8oz, and I think they are about $10 for a bigger size. I waited a little long as the employee making the smoothie was taking care of other customers. The store also has a bunch of other organic type stuff - vitamins, honey, etc. A little on the pricey side. Would recommend. read more

Organic Rootz - a hand holding a bowl of fruit - Juice Bars & Smoothies Near Me - Algonquin, Illinois

Love this place. so many delicious, healthy food options as well as juices and smoothies. I've tried so many things off their menu and can't wait to try more. So far, the lentil soup, rootz wrap, and biggie greens juice are my favorites. There is also a little market with various health food items. I wish there were more places with vegan and vegetarian options in the area like this place. There are virtually no vegan restaurants anywhere close to this area. So I am very grateful this place is here. If I'm in the area and in doubt about what to eat, I go to Organic Rootz! read more

Great service. Great people. Great juice and gierdiniera. We stop by whenever we are near for a health pick-me-up.

It's been a while since I've been here, but I really love the smoothies that are offered! And, I love the fact that the owner lets you try samples of other smoothies that he's made that he had left overs of; I normally go with a friend, so we get to sample each other's smoothies. Will need to stop by when I'm in the area or with my friend. read more

I love absolutely everything about this shop! The staff are so friendly and greet you by name. They are often offering samples of different items to try, and everything I have tried from here is absolutely fresh, healthy, and delicious! I recently attended a seminar here on the Kangen water filtration system that was outstanding and very informational and educational. As someone who enjoys investing in my health and the health of others I am so thankful for this local shop. I also purchase all my local honey from here and it is phenomenal. read more

Wonderful avocado toast! Tea was also very good! Wished the tea was in larger cup with more water to enjoy tea bag!

So excited about this shop opening up! I love that Organic Rootz offers fresh healthy options in the thick of processed fried fast food/restaurants. It's been a long time since the Algonquin, Dundee area has seen a shop that provides health centered food. Today was my first day stopping by but I have been eyeing this place for quite a bit now. I can assure you I will be frequenting this shop after every one of my morning runs to break my fast with one of their antioxidant rich, high fiber, organic, never processed, delicious smoothies. Such friendly service, the owner gave me samples of both their buckwheat and normal honey, and I was able to try the different micro greens as well. The wasabi, broccoli, arugula flavors are so distinct and packed with flavor. SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESSES! read more

I love this place! They make the best smoothies and have a lot of other healthy goodies.

I love coming here to get smoothies. So healthy and fresh. If you do want to stop here I would say stop with time since it is a small business, there's usually only like 2 people working. You'll spend like $10 with out any add ons on each drink ( but where wouldn't you) so we only come here once in awhile. If I had money I would probably come here all the time !! The other things like vitamins and other medicines there are definitely over priced. read more

This was exactly what I was looking for in the area! Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff who understand that food is medicine! The wrap and smoothie were perfect! I'll be back. read more

First time stopping in today and I was thoroughly impressed with the store! I've have been wanting to try for a while and friend brought me there today to get smoothies. I got the Protein Punch smoothie and the Loaded Toast. I have a peanut allergic and I was nervous for cross contamination but the staff made sure I would be okay. The hummus on the toast was nothing like I've ever tasted better then you would pick up at the store. I will be returning frequently! read more

Delicious! What a great addition to Algonquin. It is hard to find organic food. The wrap was fresh and the hummus tasted homemade. The smoothie was made to perfection with superfoods galore. The owner and his wife are so warm and love the story behind why they opened. Come pop in! You won't be disappointed. 5 stars bravo. read more
