When we first arrived on a weekend day it was crowded and they were out of a lot of things in bakery case. Staff was friendly, our order was correct and food and drink was decent. Extensive drink menu and some food items for breakfast or light lunch. Food took a while and the table was sticky. But I think they were busy and short staffed. read more

Love this place. I'd been here over 5 years ago and remembered they had really delicious coffee drinks, so I stopped back in here when I happened to be in town on a snowy December day. Staff was super kind and welcoming when I walked in, and had no issues changing/updating my order when I discovered they had an incredible list of holiday drinks instead of my boring old latte. My Gingerbread Latte was soooo decadent and a welcome treat on such a cold and icky morning. I arrived when they first opened in the morning, in a snowstorm, during finals week... so I was the only one there that I could see, but they do have tons of space to sit down at a table or curl up in a comfy seat... and multiple rooms. Stopped here on a weekend trip with the girls and it's the cutest little cafe. Tons of baked goods, breakfast items and lots for lunch. We ordered salads - they were huge, very fresh, tons of ingredients. Absolutely amazing baked potato soup. Literally so good. Got a turkey sandwich, too, and the bread was 5 stars. not a good experience. I waited at the front counter for about 15 minutes even though there were two girls behind the counter who both completely ignored my presence. When I finally did get to order they forgot to give me my food and I had to wait another 15 minutes before going back to remind them of it. While I was at the counter waiting for my food I picked up a butter packet and the barista shouted at me from across the room to stop touching them. Then she stormed out of the room yelling that she "needed to go home". It was quite an uncomfortable and unpleasent experience because everyone was staring at us. she also did not use gloves when she picked up our food with her bare hands to put into a bag. In addition to this, the two girls were just plain rude. Eye rolls, interrupting and an Overall tone of hostility. I will not be coming back here anytime soon and was very unimpressed by their poor customer service read more

Returned to the sweetspot this past weekend while I was in town. Sad to say that the food, the coffee, and the environment has shifted a lot since the new owners. The sweet spot had such a terrible terrible smell in the inside that overflowing dumpsters and the calf and the people that were serving me. They were very very mean I would like to say that it was a regrettable experience, and when I tried the spicy mac & cheese sandwich I had food poisoning for the next two weeks. I do not recommend going there. It was terrible. The donuts tasted stale and old and when I took my grandma there she lost two of her teeth and one of the one of the still raisin breads that they had so I do not recommend going to the Swissway whatsoever. This is a warning and advise you not to go there, it looks like a nice restaurant in a small town but really it should be closed down and replaced by Dunkin' Donuts. read more

My aunt introduced me to this place, thinking I'd like it, and her recommendation was on point! Loved the BLM sign in the window. The inside is spacious with lots of seating - mostly tables and chairs, and one sofa. They have some baked goods and sandwiches, but what really interested me was the iced coffee! I tried a concoction of my own with lavender and white mocha sauce, but ended up preferring the honey lavender iced latte on their specials menu. I will definitely visit this place when I'm in town! read more

Independent coffee shop that does not disappoint! I actually like Starbucks but these small owner-operated/family/small town coffee shops rock! Came here during my recent visit for a race in the Kettle Morraine Siri found it as nearest to hotel. Easy place to find. Pretty cool inside. They have a wide variety of drinks - something for everyone. I am vegan and always looking for dairy milk alternatives. I don't know if they had food food but they did have bakery items and had vegan options!! My friend is a latte addict and gets a large with whole milk. She said it was amazing, Really great job on the foam and the beans were awesome Bathrooms nice (we went twice and I checked them out both times:)) I'd say a must try if you need coffee and are in the area! read more

Stopped in with my son (8) while we were in Whitewater for a wrestling camp. I got the red pepper club and a cup of mushroom bisque with a vanilla lar and he got the spicy grilled cheese. All were excellent and a good price And came back for a second day (that is all my son talked about coming up). My son added bacon to his spicy grilled cheese and I got the chicken pesto panini, a corn and green chili bisque and another vanilla latte. All really good read more

I love this place! It has great charm, cozy seating areas, and delicious food and drinks! I came here with a friend. We were greeted with smiles. I had the original wrap and a hot butter rum coffee. It was so good and perfect for a cold day. I also want to point out that this place seems to be very breastfeeding friendly. My friend and I both have infants who, like anyone else, need to eat. I have been a longtime customer of the SweetSpot and very rarely take to the Internet to share my thoughts on businesses, although as someone full of opinions, I should probably do it more often. The SweetSpot offers the perfect fit for any number of customers. When I was a student, it was a great place to meet a friend to do homework over a reasonably priced beverage, baked goods, or a light lunch. Now that I have graduated and am working in the community, I find the SweetSpot to be the perfect place to both grab my necessary morning coffee and run and also meet a friend to catch up on the busy days in life. As someone with a recent Celiac Disease diagnosis, the greatest struggle has been finding places outside my home where I am able to eat and drink without fear of health complications. Additionally, making the necessary request for Celiac accommodations can be overwhelming and cause impatience in staff members. This has never been the case at the SweetSpot. Not only is the staff receptive to all of my questions, but answers are always provided in a friendly manner no matter how busy it may be. Cross contamination can be a major issue for Celiacs and the SweetSpot ownership and management both recognize and address this is a manner that makes it easy for people to know and understand the products served. There are few places quite as friendly and "small town" as SweetSpot that are also able to offer a wide variety of choices for those with particular dietary needs. I am an extremely difficult customer on occasion, but the SweetSpot addresses my needs in a fashion that keeps me coming back time and time again. I owe many productive days at work to the hot, tasty caffeinated beverage served up at the SweetSpot. I recommend without hesitation stopping by this great place! read more

Great place for frozen blended coffee drinks or smoothies and light meals. My personal favorite drink is the Hazelnut/Caramel flavor blended coffee. The salads are good most of the time, if it is not the baristas are kind enough to say not to order it. The panini sandwiches are good. The desserts have ranged from awesome to ho-hum. Not sure if they are good the first few days after they are made and later become not so tasty. I tend to take recommendations from the staff and if I like it, re-order. I tend to notice some of the inconsistencies of the staff, generally newer staff seem to need more training. Overall it is a nice place near the lake in Whitewater and for art lovers, it has a small gallery nestled in back. read more
