What a hidden gem in this sleepy town of Deerfield. We heard that there was a whole kids area at this place which did not disappoint! A little kitchen, Lincoln logs, tons of books and other cute things to entertain toddlers while the adults eat. There are very few places like this if any, in Madison. And the food came out pretty quick and was delicious! And inexpensive. Great fall specials they had to offer and adorable decor. We will seek this place out and go back. Highly recommend! read more

Super cute and cozy decor. Located right downtown on the town's Main Street. I liked the different spaces for different uses - tables for folks eating or working on a laptop, couches for sipping a drink and chatting and a kids space off in the back. We ordered espresso and breakfast sandwiches. Both hit the spot but the sandwiches were greasier than we would have liked. Loved the liberal helping of chipotle mayo though! They only had three types of bagels available but had way more listed on their menu. Prices were reasonable about $8 each. Service was also slow considering no one was waiting for drinks or food after we ordered. They might have a lot of pick up orders. read more

Accidentally stumbled across this place after a garage sale and it was a life saver! Best parts: the service was friendly and positive, the drinks were hand crafted and super delicious (I had a sparkly tea with lilac and blackberry), and the place was spacious and homey feeling. Also, if you have kiddos they had a nice play area for kids and the beat bathroom changing station I've ever seen. Only reason for 4 stars is that food orders can take a long time because then cooking area is small for how popular it is. Definitely a hot spot in Deerfield! read more

The space is open and inviting with several areas to choose from, including a space by the fireplace which was perfect on the fall rainy/snowy day. They offer classic menu items along with great seasonal menu. I had the pumpkinliscious latte with pumpkin spice and honey flavors and the sausage, apple, cheddar, egg burrito. Can't go wrong with any option from what I could smell and see. They also give type the choice of having a bowl or burrito option with most menu items. Went here on a Sunday after being disappointed in my coffee that I ordered earlier in the day. I must say that I really appreciate their protocols for COVID-19. Only one person is allowed in at a time, and they are only allowed in the front door in a sectioned off space. You can order from there, call-in the order, or go through the online platform. It definitely felt sanitary inside and there were some fun plants, honey, and masks to look at as you waited for your order. There was also some nice outdoor seating. I ordered a small drip coffee and a blueberry bagel toasted. The coffee had a great flavor, and I very much appreciated the price of $1.90. I was kind of bummed that they were out of the tomato-basil bagels, but the blueberry one was a good substitution to make my breakfast sandwich for the morning. It was full of large blueberries! I really want to come back soon to try some other options on the menu as they all sound quite good. read more

This brand new coffeehouse is absolutely delightful! The interior design is comfortable and adorable, I especially love the couches and the fireplace - very inviting for breakfast, lunch, coffee, work, or a casual visit. The staff was very friendly and inviting. I enjoyed my dirty chai latte and I opted to get the turkey pesto sandwich. The pesto was super fresh, the sourdough bread was phenomenal - overall very tasty. I wish I lived closer because I would love to try their grilled cheese apple panini that comes on the same bread. You get the choice of fruit or chips with your sandwich, and I was really happy for the healthy choice of a clementine to go with my lunch. I unfortunately had to take it to go, and it was conveniently wrapped in aluminum foil in a cute brown paper bag with their deer logo stamped on it. The coffee and unique special lattes here bring me an unexplainable amount of joy. This is my favorite coffee shop in the greater Madison area. The service is great, and the shop itself is so cute and cozy. I love the assorted gifts/knick knacks they sell too. Their baked goods are also insanely tasty (get the cinnamon roll on the weekend!) I cannot recommend Deerfield Coffeehouse enough. The coffee is insanely tasty too. So high quality. read more

I went on a Saturday morning and was pleasantly surprised with the calmness and ambiance given that they were very busy. They had a live musician playing acoustic covers. Great environment to sit and hang out, play on the internet. So glad this coffeehouse opened in Deerfield! As new residents, we've already made frequent visits and enjoyed our experience every time! I don't actually drink coffee, but my husband does, and he loves that they carry JBC. Their tea lattes are also wonderful, and I really enjoyed a coconut/mango smoothie the other day! They also have lots of gluten free options, which I appreciate, and everything I've tried has been delicious. There is plenty of space to sit and eat or work, and the staff is friendly. If you haven't been here yet, run, don't walk to try all the fabulous menu items. I've stopped in on several occasions, and I will actually go out of my way to go there. My favorite is the bacon, egg and cheese on an everything bagel, but everything is wonderful. I also get my drinks with almond milk and I can't even tell the difference from regular milk. Nice space. We would like to see more tables for four. And be forewarned: all of their breakfast sandwiches and lunch sandwiches come with some variety of flavored mayonnaise or spread. Our breakfast items (on their menu board as egg and cheese) came with spicy hot, chipotle mayo. The spicy mayo was not listed as an ingredient on the menu board. It was listed in the small print at the bottom of a hidden paper display menu which was not out or provided to us prior to ordering. The paper menu was shown to us after we received our food and voiced our dislike of the mayo. Hopefully they will make a change and provide menus which list all of the ingredients by menu item or discontinue making it with the mayo as a default ingredient. The locally produced coffee was really good and the cinnamon rolls were delicious. read more

I love everything about the Deerfield coffeehouse. Great drinks and food, the sweetest staff, and overall great environment. I love to order my breakfast or lunch from time to time because it always hits the spot! I am also so thankful for their larger variety of dairy-free milk substitutes so I can enjoy my favorite drinks along my diet. I'm so glad they've decided to do pickup orders because it gives me a chance to enjoy the beautiful days lately on my break! This was a very needed business in Deerfield. Ever since the beginning the customer service has always been extremely friendly, courteous and professional. Whatever coffee I order, it always satisfies very much. And my favorite item on their menu is the breakfast burrito. I eat breakfast in Madison nearly every day, but when I can have my breakfast in Deerfield I am always super excited to order the breakfast burrito. And with Covid I have made a number of orders to pick up. While this doesn't add to the flavor, it just enhances the experience -PACKIGING! how they package, carefully box and carefully bag your food it goes to show how much they care about providing you quality food, in a reasonable timeframe for you to enjoy whether it is in your car, on the road to your next appointment or to be able to take home.
