Love this place!! One massage at Elixir and I was hooked, would go back every week if I could. I have an annual membership so my cost per massage is very manageable and I sneak an extra one in as often as I can since not only can I get gift certificates at my monthly reduced rate but extras for myself as well. This will become your go to place for gifts for family or clients. Super location - I work downtown and a quick ride on the shuttle and I'm there. My favorite time to go however is rush hour, I book a 5:30 PM 90 minute massage and let the rest of the world deal with traffic instead of me. I wish I could give a positive review for an excellent massage, however I signed up for an appointment on-line which didn't work out in my favor. Dear Consumer, don't sign up on-line, call for an appointment only! I signed up for 3 time frames as requested on-line, provided all information requested including email address, credit card, name, address and contact phone number. They emailed early the next morning at 9:27 with an alternate time than the 3 I requested. I received the email at 10:57 and responded by 11:00. I also followed up by 11:30 and found my appointment was given to someone else who called in. When they realized I was upset they made the excuse they didn't receive my response. I have the proof in my "sent mail". It didn't matter, the appointment was gone and there were no others for the day I requested which was the only day I was in town. While I understand they can't wait too long before giving the appointment to someone, why did they ask for a phone number if they were not going to use it. Poor customer service. Based on the majority of reviews, I am sure their spa is excellent,however call for an appointment until their website is improved to only indicate available appointments or they realize great customer service would be to call the online customer before filling the slot with a call in customer. read more

This was probably the best massage I have ever had. Taylor was amazing. I am not a massage novice and it really was fabulous. Surprising I called in the morning right about opening and left a message, asking for a massage ASAP. I was in town for a wedding and had some lower back pain. Nobody called me back for over an hour. I had seen the reviews and the location was close to my hotel, so I didn't want to call any where else. I called back an hour later and was able to schedule a convenient time. The receptionist was very accommodating in finding us a time that worked for us for a couples massage. We were on a tight schedule flying out after the massage and she worked us in. However, she didn't warn us that there was a Rockies game starting around the same time so traffic was terrible and I was late. Also, there is only meter parking on the street so be sure to figure out your parking and traffic outlook first. The massage was very good, it was my first massage with a male masseuse and he was great! He did great deep tissue work and really opened up my tight hips, which are a challenge. He was quiet, respectful, had a wonderful touch and was very professional. The spa was lovely, clean, well-decorated, and the ambiance was very relaxing. The sheets were divinely soft. There was soft music of your choice available. My partner who does bodywork himself was not quite as pleased with his massage. But he's very picky and was very much in need of lots of work. He also wished they had a shower and a relaxation room to sit in after the massage as he rarely treats himself to relaxing time out of his busy life. This was my first time into Denver and I didn't know the stadium was literally just blocks from the spa. I did arrive late and that reduced our time on the table but the time I did have was wonderful. I don't know any other spas in Denver, but I enjoyed the massage and friendly staff at Elixer. Everyone's pretty chatty here, from the receptionist who greets you and makes you comfortable while you wait for your service, to the massage therapist I had. Too chatty, if you ask me. And I specifically asked for her to concentrate on one area which ended up being MAYBE an additional 30 seconds on her part. Lots of stroking style of massage... not deep tissue. Immediately, I took to Yelp to find a spa, which is how I discovered Elixir Mind Body Massage. I called on a Saturday afternoon to see about availability for the next day. I believe I spoke with Emily, who was very helpful and had professional phone skills (you might be surprised how fast that can turn me off to a new business). She was very knowledgeable and I felt that I had made a great choice already. I was able to book an hour couples massage for the next evening. Upon arriving, we were offered warm neck wraps and something to drink, I was already hooked! Leslie greeted us, and again, another very professional and warm encounter in person, just as I had received the day before on the phone. Next, to the massage...my partner and I can't say enough amazing things about our therapists, Jodi and Jamison! They were legen- wait for it - DARY! In fact, when we left, they offered a discount to book our next appointment because we were new clients, so that we did. The only negative is waiting a whole month before our next massage! read more

I didn't like this place at all. I was on time for my appointment and had to wait 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment. I have a schedule too. No apologies. Nothing. The place seems kind of snotty. Parking is really bad. Lots of pressure to continue with care. Also pressure to buy products I don't want. I am a recent transplant to Denver and have been looking for a massage place where I could become a regular. I've never gotten a massage that was good enough for me to keep coming back (I mostly used to choose based on price), but after getting a treatment with Gretchen, I don't think I will go anywhere else. She was absolutely wonderful - great pressure and very attentive to what I told her at the beginning of the appointment (i.e. which areas to focus on). The front desk staff is super friendly too but, for me, Gretchen really sets the place apart. This was my first massage experience and I was not impressed at all. I went here yesterday for a couples massage with my boyfriend as a father's day gift. We got there right on time, 6:15pm. Pretty much to the minute and the therapists took us back to a very small, very hot room. He and I got comfortable and the massages started about 20 minutes after the appointment time. Right at about 7:25 she stopped and told me they went 10 minutes over. Not really because the session technically started at 6:35. Not a big deal but annoying when the price for a couples massage is 190 bucks and gratuity is expected. It was definitely not even worth half that. My boyfriend only got his back and calfs done while this was supposed to be a deep tissue full body massage. My girl was very nice and friendly and because I have never had a massage I don't have much to compare it to but I didn't feel more relaxed afterward. Today I am very sore, actually. I am only giving it two stars for her and her friendly attitude. When they were done they asked if we wanted some pineapple water which you would expect to be nice, cold and refreshing right? It was room temperature water from the water tank out front with disenegrated pineapples sitting in the bottom that looked like they were there all day. The man at the front desk gave me the dirtiest look when I didn't leave a tip but I don't even think they deserved the $190 I paid. I feel totally ripped off and if other massage parlors are like this I think I will stick to a heating pad. read more

I love Elixir. The setting is very nice and relaxing. When you walk in they give you a warm neck wrap to help you start relaxing while you wait. I got a great massage from Nicole. She made sure that the pressure was just right and checked in to make sure I was doing okay. I told her about trouble spots and it was clear that she knew just how to address them. I have gotten several massages in Denver from several different places, and Elixir is by far the best. My boyfriend and I went there for the first time a week ago. He had never had a massage before and wasn't sure what to expect. We both walked out of there feeling like rubber. He works on a ship and was about to leave so we made an appointment to come back a few days later. Our second time there was even better. I had Audra and he had Suzanne. I would absolutely recommend Audra. She is tiny, but really has some strength. My boyfriend still cant stop talking about Suzanne and now his back has never felt so good. This place is awesome and we will definitely be returning. Also, the day we were going in for our second massage, my boyfriend got a $15 off coupon for his next massage there so we brought that in with us. We figured that we would just get $15 off, which was a nice surprise to receive anyway. When we went to pay, they actually took $15 each massage so it was a total of $30 off the price. I've been coming here now for about a year and always recommend it to everyone I know. I've tried many other massage places around Denver and the surrounding areas, but this one is my favorite. As soon as I walk into the lobby I feel relaxed, and they always offer hot tea or ice water and a warm neck wrap while you wait for your appointment. I've never had to wait, they always start on time and ask you what areas you'd like them to focus on. The tables are super comfortable and the sheets are amazing! (I have 2 sets at home, they're totally worth it). The atmosphere is inviting and relaxing and they offer you a choice of music which is nice. My favorite treatment here is the steam massage- you have a choice of 3 different scents and it's super relaxing. The retail selections offered are great- I did a lot of christmas shopping here this past year. Parking can be difficult, just get there early enough to find a spot and try not to schedule one during a Rockies game, that's usually the worst time to find parking in that area. Overall this place rocks, and if I could afford it I'd join the membership, it's a great deal! read more

From the start I had a great experience at Elixir. The beautiful receptionist was very warm and receiving as I checked in and was even nice enough to keep my rental bike in the front lobby for me. I appreciated her friendly smile as I walked in and her assistance with the intake process. Elizabeth was wonderful as well! From first introduction she was very pleasant to speak with and I enjoyed talking with her through the session as well. She was also very thorough in tending to my troubled areas on my back and I left feeling much better. My only regret is not booking a full hour session. My husband and I both went to Elixir for massages. Karla was my husband's massage therapist and was amazing. He is a muscular guy and can almost never seem to get a massage that is strong enough. He explained this to Karla and she gave him a great, deep massage. I had a pregnancy massage that was somewhat weak, but probably because they tend to go very gentle with pregnant women. I did love the warm neck wrap upon arrival and how you can choose the music. Did not love that I arrived early (for paperwork) but still did not receive a full 60 minute massage. I have been here twice now and so far have left with one really bad massage. My first visit was about two years ago for a prenatal massage. I showed up and everything seemed ok until part way into the massage the masseuse started "massaging" my pregnant belly. I have had my fair share of massages - prenatal included - and NONE have ever gone near my belly. It was weird. Given the otherwise great reviews of Elixer, I assumed it was a fluke so never wrote a review... until my husband and I attempted a couples massage yesterday... Yesterday my husband and I showed up for our 90 minute couples massage only to be told that it had been "cancelled" for some reason. This was scheduled for my 35th birthday and we have two small children so babysitters had been arranged, etc. Two of us getting out of the house at the same time is no easy feat these days. My husband had a confirmation email AND confirmation text yet for some reason ... oops... they cancelled our appointment. There was no explanation given other than "sorry, we don't know why that happened" Talk about a HUGE disappointment and MAJOR inconvenience for us, not to mention that we still have to pay our babysitter (we can't exactly tell her "whoopsie, sorry!" like Elixer told us). The receptionist did offer us 50% off our next visit but given the subpar massage I'd already received there and the knowledge that even if we reschedule they may not honor our twice-confirmed appointment, I don't think we will be returning to pay even 50% of the price. No thanks. Two strikes and you are definitely out Elixer. read more

This was our first time to Elixir on a busy Saturday this past weekend! I chose this not only because of the location, but from the outstanding reviews & I was not a bit disappointed! From scheduling to the time we left it was an overall Excellent experience. This was a surprise for my boyfriend for his bday and it was also his FIRST ever massage so I was a little nervous as many of of us have had some not so good massages and I wanted his to be the best for his first time! It was nothing less than perfect! The girls were wonderful and really worked on the areas we requested. The atmosphere is high class and they treated us very well, from the warm neck wraps and citrus infused water when we got there to the options we got before the massage where great! I've been getting my massage at Elixir for nearly 5 years now, I have yet to have one session that has been a disappointment, naturally I have my favorites but the staff is all so experienced I never hesitate to take a recommendation from Sandy or Lisa about someone else's massage I might enjoy. The nice bonus is that my membership gives me an additional discount on my gift certificates. I have gotten rave reviews from clients who I've treated to the Elixir "experience". The staff makes me a hero for introducing my clients and friends to the spa. The 5280 Top Spa award this year finally ended up on the right wall! Beth is fantastic. I'm not into the "fluff and buff" massages, I want to get to the root of my pain and discomfort! She utilized some neuromuscular therapy techniques on my neck/shoulders/back and I felt like a different human being when I walked out. I have been a member at Elixir since the day it opened 7 years ago. The service is great. The therapists are always on time, and they always hire top notch people. I travel for a living so I typically call 24-48 hours in advance and they always take me in. The little "add-ons" they do monthly for members is a nice touch. I was looking for a place to get my husband a surprise massage and found a coupon on city search last week that says (word for word) "Purchase a 60 Min massage and get a complimentary hot lava massage." So I called and made my husband an appointment for the 60 min massage and told them I had a coupon from city search for the complimentary hot lava massage and they booked the appointment and told me just to bring it in. So we just showed up and they told me there was a typo on the ad, blamed city search of course, it was supposed to say upgrade not complimentary and they wouldn't honor it. They also said they left me a message on my cell, which i didn't get, and that it was my fault if i didn't listen to my messages. I just listened to it by the way and the owner said its been stuck on there for the last month which was a lie as the front desk chick told us when we were in there they had no idea about the typo till i called and had it removed immediately and that I was the only one who found it. As if the whole thing wasn't bad enough she had to leave an entire message of lies, unreal. I then left the owner a message after we were rudely shown the door and surprise surprise she never even called me back. I guess thats great if you have a business that is going so well you don't have to treat new customers kindly, but as for me and anyone we know we will be getting our massages somewhere else and you should also, bad business owners and liars shouldn't be rewarded. read more
