Gabriel Garcia came and checked my drain. His boss Juan Hernandez, the division manager, came over with the camera which showed the inside of the pipe in black and white. I could barely understand what I was seeing. This guy came over and was telling me my pipes were cracked and broken. He quoted me $5800 to re-route the drain and re-do piping on one section and $7800 if I wanted to re-do the whole side. We called K&P Rooter Service for a second opinion. That plumber arrived promptly with a color video monitor and told me there was no crack, no broken pipes--NOTHING. This company has scam artists running it that are taking your money if you don't understand what you're seeing. He saw a woman by herself and assumed I was an idiot ready to fork over $6-8k! Called on a Saturday for a leak. They were prompt and friendly on the visit. Leak detection "Found" where the leak was. Provided a quote without itemization. Asked for a quote with things itemized. Paid a HVAC company to have the furnace removed as "Elite" said the leak was under it. Workers showed up an hour late on Monday, at which time I still had not received an itemized quote. When the itemized quote came through a couple of hours later there were all the standard items listed, labor, parts, concrete sawing, excavation, containment etc... AND a random line item for $6200 for "Leak Repair". When asked what this was for we were told "it's 6200 for welding new copper pipe and fittings". I noted that this seemed excessive and the "Boss" told me I was free to get another quote, and I agreed that is what I would do. We found another licensed plumber who agreed to finish the job for less than 1/3rd of the price. When we decided to go with the new quote the "Boss" was verbally abusive and attempted to charge us the full labor amount for the entire job ($3800), in addition to the $1200 charge to "sawcut concrete" and $1000 to excavate the hole and $600 to cover 3 doorways with plastic and tape paper on the floor. I asked to speak with a manager or owner and the "Boss" told me that would not be possible as the owner was in London and couldn't be bothered to speak with me". Threatened us with a lawsuit if we didnt pay the full amount. Agreed to a reduced labor amount to be done with them: $850 for leak detection that pinpointed the wrong area and $5k to cut a 3'x3' chunk of concrete and dig down less than 2 feet. Total of 4-5 hours of work ($1875 in labor charges for this) and didnt fix anything. New plumber came in, found that the "Leak Detection" was looking in the wrong area and there was no need to remove the furnace to make this repair... an additional $1500 we didn't need to spend. When they came to pickup the tools they left behind they saw the name of the company who we had hired to complete the job and the "Boss" decided it would be a good idea to text me and "Warn" me about how bad the new company I hired was. Not only was the guy ridiculously late (as in didn't show and rescheduled for the next day), but the estimate we were given was a complete joke! 1st tip when doing business: don't treat the customer like they're idiots who don't understand. I knew exactly what was wrong, and I knew how to fix it as it's an issue I've had before, but didn't have the tools or the time. Found Elite Rooter off of a Craigslist posting and figured I'd give them a call. I was quoted around $200-240 by other local companies to have a bathroom sink cleared, and was hoping I could do better. I saw they were running a $69 drain clearing special, so I gave them a call. A very helpful guy named Carlos came out and quickly fixed the issue. Sink drains great now. I haven't heard of Elite Rooter until today and I'll definitely keep them in mind for next time. Called this plumbing company because my bathtub was clogged and nmy kitchen sink was draining into tub. Plumber came saw the tub was filled with black water and said $150 to fix it. I usually call Drain Maters and they charge $85 but called Elite Rooter because they had a $50 special that wasnt offered. So told him I'll pass and he dropped the price to $100. So he snaked the bath tub couldnt get it unclogged with 2 different snakes for about an hour. Said it was a serious problem that a pipe was leaking behind the tub and needed to be replaced. Said his senior was on the way with a camera to see the problem. Senior came ran a camera through the line and said pipe was broken and needed to be replaced and would cost about $6500 and for me to call the owner and he will show him. This was on a Friday. Called the home owner and said he would send his guy. Had to wait until Monday when INTEGRITY PLUMBING came and he fixed the problem in 20 minutes and was very professional. The thing that's real funny is that the broken pipe that Elite Rooter said was broken was all new pipe and not only that but it was all cast iron piping that was replaced because a Bush broke the clay piping come to find out. Would not recommend ELIT ROOTER at all and from there reviews this is what they do, take your money and make up problems. I was wayyy to kind at the time & did NOT write a review about the fact that their workers left bottles of piss in the crawl space under my house, and a bag of sh*t in my side yard (which were later discovered). Disgusting on every level. Now I've recently learned that the gas line (which I surely overpaid them to install) was not even done to code. it's about 6 " deep, not 18"; there's no tracer wire; and it's not buried in yellow sand. Making it easy for anyone doing any shallow digging to easily hit and break it. This company overcharges for work which isn't even to code?? Makes me wonder about everything else they did at my house and if was all as badly done as this. I'm still waiting for a call back about the gas line. I had to call a plumber because I broke a 1/2" copper line that my garden hose was connected to while trying to replace the broken valve (spigot). Didn't have the necessary tools on hand to finish the job and had I turned on the water, my walls would have been more than damp. They were able to get me a plumber out within the hour and got the copper line fixed. Did a great job however they charged a bit much for my liking. read more

I had an urgent plumbing situation in my guest bathroom and Luis came out within an hour. He was so friendly and professional! I live in a duplex on a tight street, so there were a couple times he had to move the truck because of my neighbors, and was honestly so nice and chill about it. The clog was way worse than expected so he had to spend extra time at my house and try a few different tools. Even when it looked like they had to get a really expensive tool, Luis tried one more time to get the clog out with the regular tools and it finally cleared!! Beware of this plumbing company!!! Some of their employees may not be honest and fraudulently push more expensive services than actually needed. After being on vacation for 3.5 weeks we returned home and started doing laundry and using the facilities. Our drain piping backed up into the shower and overflowed the toilets. After unsuccessfully trying to find one of the usual plumbers I trust available, I checked Yelp and found Elite with 4.5 stars. They arrived in less than an hour and I described what I felt was the problem. Our bathroom renovation 10 years ago resulted in all smooth ABS piping except for a 16 ft section of cast iron piping under my kitchen to an outside cleanout. Friends checking on our house with young children had used our facilities. In fact, I noticed that TP in the master bath had an empty roll. Knowing we have low flow toilets and the children used excess TP, I conveyed to Plumber #1 it was probably a TP blockage in the cast iron piping. Plumber #1 spent about 20 minutes with the roto router motor running and came out of the bathroom stating he couldn't penetrate the blockage. After spending another 10-15 minutes attempting to clear he decided to attack from the outside cleanout. Same story, he said he couldn't penetrate the blockage. He calls Plumber#2 to bring the camera since his camera was broken. Plumber#2 arrives and inserts camera upstream of blockage but says he is unable to see since it is filled with water. Inserting camera from the downstream cleanout he approaches the blockage and shows me. A wad of toilet paper fully blocking the pipe. Then claiming concern for the piping down stream from cleanout to street drainage pipe, he redirects the camera toward street and shows me small amounts of roots penetrating the clay drain line. He claims he can hydroblast for $1100! Since I had hired a piping survey during my renovation, I knew roots were minimal and hadn't changed in 10 years. Redirecting his attention to the blockage I asked him to push the camera line into the blockage. The camera tip easily penetrated the mass and the blockage broke free. Why did Plumber#1 run a router over 30 minutes to no avail when a camera tip dislodged the blockage in seconds? He picked the wrong person to try and scare to pay an unnecessary $1100. I gladly paid the $69 and will never call this company again. I suggest you also look elsewhere. Let the buyer beware! read more

With a broken bathroom pipe, you find yourself in quick need of a plumber. I contacted Elite Rooter since their web page stated the company serviced Santa Clarita. When they arrived, I was informed that the tech and manager had driven in from Ventura. The assessment was professional. The technician was competent and experienced. My main concern is the price. I was charged $2250 for a job that required, at the very most, three hours to complete. This is, in no way, comparable to local plumbers, who charge about $150/hr., that is the community standard. The most disturbing part is that when you're vulnerable, worried about your family and having no water in your home, this company takes advantage of you by charging exorbitant prices. I am an Electrical contractor . I called this morning to schedule some help with a electric tankless hot water heater . I explaned in detail exactly what i needed . " un sweet 2 3/4 female thin wall fittings and install 2 new ones ." I had to ask for plumbing tech phone number to get in touch with him . Because he hadn't called me to go over project . To get an idea of cost for service. He told me for this kind of service it was $140 an hr with 4 hr minimum. For a job that is going to take less than 1 hr. They wasted my valuable time.
