If you are in the market for an awesome landscape company, look no further! We would highly recommend Elite Outdoor Designs in Goodyear. Meredith created a beautiful design, with Oscar & his amazing team bringing it to life. We now have the backyard oasis we have always dreamed of and will enjoy it with family and friends for years to come. The daytime view is truly spectacular! However, the night view is a magical experience indeed! This wasn't just plants. The finished design included landscape and hardscape complete with 30 ficus trees, 20+ palm trees of all shapes & sizes, metal side panels & trellises, metal palm trees, a water feature with pond, pony walls, a travertine walkway, an insane number of plants & fruit trees, a pickleball court & corn hole game area, lighting, irrigation & drainage, stacked stone, and an immense amount of pavers & gravel. They even fixed existing issues with leveling the paver walkway and turf space. Thank you Brad, and all of your team, at Elite Outdoor Designs. We couldn't be happier with our own little resort! read more

Elite did our front yard landscaping design, removing all grass and going towards a desert maintenance free landscape. Brad was so responsive in redesigning the images with each "tweak" we made. It enabled us to really visualize the design before diving in. (He even responded while at a weekend game...totally unexpected!) The team was professional and efficient, completing the job in half the time expected! They even moved my heavy lemon tree pots back where they were, saving me (& my husband's back) a lot of trouble. This company is very professional, trustworthy and fairly priced for their excellent work. Do not hesitate to hire them for your landscaping needs. read more

ELITE OUTDOOR DESIGNS: Simply put, OUTSTANDING residential pool design and build services company! The process of selecting a pool design and build company was not an easy process. I initially selected five pool companies for an extensive review process focused on design capabilities and pricing. The final three companies all had similar design capabilities and pricing. Ultimately, ELITE OUTDOOR DESIGNS was selected because they listened and were patient with multiple design changes with Meredith taking the lead. Meredith patiently provided roughly 13 3D renderings without hesitation ensuring that the end product reflected what I wanted without sacrificing an amazing end result. Thereafter, the ELITE OUTDOOR DESIGNS team of Brad, Oscar, Edith and Jose became involved as the project progressed. As the project progressed, Brad would interject alternative approaches that were focused on improvements instead of increased costs. For example, I initially wanted a seven foot inground fire pit and Brad correctly suggested a five foot inground fire pit accompanied with his reasoning. Another example related to replacing the irrigation controller that I wanted with a controller that had more functionality for the same cost. I have to mention Oscar's workmanship and tireless efforts, especially regarding my front yard. I provided a simple description of what I wanted and Oscar provided an amazing result. Jose was responsible for all of the travertine pavers, tile and decking work. I have never witnessed another contractor work as hard or valued pride of workmanship as Jose exhibited. Regardless of whether contributions came from administrative staff or boots on the ground contributors, the entire ELITE OUTDOOR DESIGNS time maintained a high level of service and follow-up throughout the entire project. Although ELITE OUTDOOR DESIGNS was not the least expensive contractor, they definitely proved to be THE BEST! I have and will continue to recommend ELITE OUTDOOR DESIGNS for your pool project. Hopefully the pictures and videos provide a small sense of ELITE OUTDOOR DESIGNS capabilities. read more

My wife & I had a recent water main pipe break that leads to our Trilogy of Vistancia home which required a portion of our paved walk way to be replaced. Elite Outdoor Designs was recommended to us by one of their competitors after informing us that it was not a big enough job for them to complete. After calling and talking with Stephanie at Elite Outdoor Designs, our walkway pavers were professionally replaced within a couple weeks. The paved walkway looks amazing again, as if it never happened. Prompt service, great work and reasonably priced. We highly recommend calling Stephanie at Elite Outdoor Designs. read more

These guys do top quality work. Brad and his team are super knowledgeable and helpful.

We have been wanting to redo our backyard for a long time now and Meredith designed our yard for us. She listened to what we wanted and the whole team were very patient with us as we did change our minds a few times. Every time I had a question or concern, I received quick responses from Meredith, Stephanie, Edith, Norm, or Oscar. Antonio and their landscaping team worked so fast (6 days!) and we were amazed everyday by their speedy progress. Our backyard is everything we have wanted and we can actually go sit outside and enjoy it now! Thank you so much!!! read more

I have waited several months to write this review to ensure that the work done did not have any issues. I am very pleased with everything that Elite Outdoor Designs did in our back yard. We have completed phase 1 so I will not post pictures until the entire job is finished hopefully within 6 months. Meredith created a fabulous design encompassing the entire project and was extremely helpful to phase it out to accommodate our budget. The construction team was very friendly and professional. Everything was on time with the original schedule. I can't express enough joy in how this phase of our project turned out. read more

Wouldn't recommend Elite Design. Communication is terrible almost none existent. We picked out travertine for our project we were told once the travertine was ordered it would be a couple of weeks to complete our courtyard. 3 weeks later hadn't heard anything. We called and were told the travertine we picked had been discontinued. who knows how long we would have been waiting to find that out if we hadn't called. We were told this was a 3 day job and over a week into it still not finished and no one is here working. Asked for a picture of the water feature (never got one) and keep getting told when they get it they'll send it. And mind you this project was supposedly going to be done last week. Would not recommend this company. Crew is nice but company isn't run well. read more

I found the team at Elite Outdoor Design to be courteous and efficient with respect to their planned timeline. Anytime I had questions, they were immediately answered and resolved. From the beginning, I was very happy/impressed with our salesman Jason M. He took our vision and developed it into exactly what we wanted. Obviously, it took a little bit of time to nail down the plan but it's what we expected. We shot for the moon then tailored as required to hit our budget Craftsmanship was solid and I was happy with the work. After laying out the travertine, I was asked to walk the yard and check the work. I was handed blue tape, and told to put a piece of tape on every stone I wanted replaced. A few chipped corners are expected because it is stone but the team replaced everything we ask. Additionally, I had them rip out a few coping stones on our hot tub because I thought the grout lines were a little to wide along the curved surface. Without hesitation, they fixed it to our specs. The turf, rocks and plants were everything we wanted and my yard looks great. As far as plants, we had a 1 year warranty on them. Over the course of the next 6 months, we had 6 plants die. Upon calling the office for each occurrence, EOD quickly replaced back to original status. Alive!! I found the communication to be excellent. Whenever I asked for something, they delivered. We were very pleased and enjoy our yard everytime we are in it. Since working with EOD, I have recommended them to friends. To my knowledge, those who went with Elite did not have issues and i know they are happy as much as I am. read more

Brad and Edith do an amazing job. We had our entire front yard and back yard landscaped from scratch (new build house) and we couldn't be happier with the design, installation and finished product. We have gotten so many compliments on our back yard since it's been finished that we have lost count. Their customer service is second to none - Edith and Oscar are only a phone call away. I would recommend Elite Outdoor Designs to anyone! read more

I called these guys and made an appointment for Friday afternoon at 1:00. They asked me to send my address and pictures, which I did. They didn't show. When I called, the guy seemed confused and apologized, and then set up an appointment for Tuesday. He didn't show. Apparently these guys are too busy to keep their appointments and don't know how to use their phones to call when they stand up potential customers. read more

Brad and Junior are both professional and personable. We had a small pool installed in our backyard, causing much of patio and pavers to be removed for plumbing and electrical work. The yard looked like a bomb hit it but the restoration was part of the cost of the pool and Elite' staff worked several days to restore it all to its original look. There were at least 4 people working, and what surprised me was they even showed up over the weekend to finish in a timely fashion. Junior showed up to the house twice just to make sure we were satisfied with how the work was going and followed up after it was completed. The final product was perfect and I highly recommend their work. read more

What a great company to work with. The owner came over and talked with us about what we wanted, planned it out and completed it just as we agreed. Our irrigation system was on its last leg . His team came right on time. They were such hard workers. After four days our yard once again had water. The yard, despite at one time looking like it was attacked by a hoard of gophers, looked wonderful when they were done. Had I not known and seen the trenches I would never know anything had changed. Great folks to work with and I absolutely will call them for my next project. read more

The best things I can say about EOD are they have beautifully painted trucks, and a friendly, young, sales guy who was expert with slick 3D simulation software to clinch the sale. Quality of finished work is below average. And when it comes to execution, communication, project management, scheduling, permitting, attention to detail, oversight of subs, keeping to an agreed time frame, cleanup, and truthfulness, this company is abysmal! We chose EOD for our backyard redo, because they convinced us they had lots of experience with the type of water features we wanted. The project included new travertine, a fire pit, bbq area and the water features. It was supposed to take 4-6 weeks. After 4 months it still was not done. They failed to identify existing gas and electric lines before demolition, which led to rupture of the gas line and shut off of our irrigation system for weeks during 100+ degree heat. We had to water the rest of the yard by hand! They never accepted responsibility for this. Months of delay were due to ineptitude in getting the gas permit, and sign offs. Supervision of subs was sorely lacking, with subs constantly asking me for direction. When I would respond, "Just follow the plan," they would say, "We lost plan." We had a detailed contract that was almost meaningless. If the contract specified 8 landscape lights, they would give us 6. If it specified 2 new electric lines they would give us one. Then they would make us feel like we were unreasonable for simply asking them to fulfill the contract as stated. They repeatedly asked, cajoled and pressured us to pay in CASH rather than by check. This was not in the contract either! They failed to mask our windows before blowing in cement for the fountains, which resulted in a broken window that they tried to blame on a golf ball until I showed them my photo of a glob of cement still sticking to the window at the point of fracture. For weeks they told us they were waiting for "their best tile guy for our job." After he finally showed up, I later learned from another sub that "their best tile guy" had only worked for EOD for a few weeks and was not very experienced. It is seven months now since we ended our relationship with EOD. In that time period we had to hire a different company to complete the landscaping, and another company to redo faulty tile work and a major rework of the water features, all at our additional expense. Our "4-6 week project" is now finished - after 10 months! Avoid Elite Outdoor Design at all costs! read more

Horrible company! Our pool company used Elite to do the paver decking, water fountain and tile work for our new pool. The lack of detail and poor workmanship was disappointing to say the least. They are unreliable and completely unpleasant to work with. If you were thinking of using this company please keep looking for a company who cares about customer satisfaction. Really deserve no stars! read more

Our neighbors had work done in their backyard. Left a pile of rubbish in street, including cinder blocks.

If you're looking for a company that will not respond and shows up unannounced, this is the company for you! It took two years for Elite Outdoor Designs to complete the job they were contracted to do which was just a small pool, spa w/turf & travertine pavers, nothing out of the norm. The contract stated it would take between 60-90 days to complete... Their excuse was getting permits for the job and that the city was delaying them. Come to find out, a permit was never requested for the work! A year after they said the job was "completed" the city sent me (the homeowner) a letter stating no permit was ever obtained for the pool and that a fine may be issued. I had to get the ROC involved, which they (ROC) escalated the complaint to the Courts as Elite failed multiple ROC inspections and couldn't complete the work after the ROC allowed Elite to extend their completion deadline multiple times. There was no project manager during the entire process or management (owner Brad Fry). When worker's arrive, they would ask us questions constantly because Elite did not advise what work needed to be done. I would avoid this company at all costs and no discount they offer is worth the headache that Elite comes with. Their BBB (better business bureaus) score speaks volumes about how this business is run! I highly recommend avoiding Elite Outdoor Designs. read more

Absolutely HORRIBLE to work with! STAY AWAY from this company! Pay 15% more to have a legitimate company do your project!! They owe me $2,000 and refuse to pay it and AROC won't help out with it at all. Horrible ethics and workmanship. We had Elite do our entire backyard in a new home, which consisted of a pool, pavers, built-in BBQ, grass sod area, in-ground trampoline, trees/bushes/plants, and side yard cement and RV side-yard driveway pavers. I believe in being fair to companies that provide work and will list some pros first: Pros: - Overall they left us with a good looking backyard. We get lots of compliments on how good it all looks (it LOOKS great, but see "cons" below about quality of the work) - Jason (the sales guy) was very nice. Poor at communicating (see "cons" below), but nice That's where the pros end and the cons begin. It was an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE working with Elite Outdoor Designs. Here is a list of most of the things we can remember that went wrong: Cons: - They make promise after promise after promise, only to never keep ANY of them! They tell you whatever you want to hear at the moment you want to hear it, but then never actually do what they say they're going to. There are SO MANY instances that fall into this category that I won't even begin to list any specific incidents. - The told us it would take 6-8 weeks to finish the backyard project. It's now 8 MONTHS later and they're still not completely done. They got the pool done in about 4 months (which is 16 weeks instead of 8 weeks as promised), then it took them 6-8 MORE weeks to get most of the rest done, and now we're at 8 months out and still are waiting for the last things to get done. - The backyard LOOKS great, but it is VERY poor workmanship in many areas, such as: the in ground cleaning system doesn't clean more than 90% of the ground as they guaranteed, the pool equipment has HUGE leaks that they keep telling us they're going to fix, but don't, the plants have all died and will have to be replaced (they tell us they will switch them out with the warranty, but I highly doubt that'll actually happen), there are various artistic paver pieces that have already cracked (a lot of them were damaged when they placed them and they told us they'd put non-broken ones in, but of course they haven't). And those are just to name a few. Overall, the built-in BBQ doesn't have anything wrong with it and the in-ground trampoline is good and the sod is good (because we watered it like crazy and fertilized it a bunch). - The kept doing things in the wrong order. For example, they put the rock in the plant area but then had to remove the rock to lay down the landscape lighting wires, then when they put the rock back down over the wires there was dirt all in the rocks so now it just looks like dirt with some rocks in it. They did this VARIOUS times over the course of the project. They had no regard for doing things in a logical order so as to avoid having to damage things. - They NEVER communicate anything to you. They leave you in the complete dark for weeks on end and randomly show up unannounced to complete 1 thing and then never tell you when anything else will happen. - 6 weeks of the delay with the pool was them trying to get the permits from the city for the pool. They literally just sat there for 4 out of the 6 weeks doing NOTHING toward getting the permits. I finally had to go into the city myself to get the permits. - They kept trash all over the yard for weeks on end and when they went to "clean up" they just threw dirt over a bunch of their garbage and put rock over. We're digging up trash all over the place as rock gets moved. - Their owner, Brad, is completely unresponsive and so are all of his employees. Once you give them money, they more or less abandon you and don't do anything unless you threaten to get a lawyer. I paid them everything that was due and they still refuse to finish certain items. They say they "are trying as hard as possible" to finish things, but it's been 3 weeks since anyone has contacted me at all. Today I got a message saying that they just don't care anymore to fulfill and keep their promises and I can get a lawyer and they don't care at all. read more

It has been about 2 years since the work was done. This company was recommended by the pool company (which did a great job). The job looked great but a lot of the workmanship was poor. The stone that he recommended for a retaining wall above our pool has been falling off because it wasn't attached well and the material itself has been flaking apart and falling in the pool. He used what looked to be teenagers to install drains who did not know how to properly slope them and the wrong type of drain lines were used. He did not coordinate well with the pool company and the county regarding permits that were required so it took 2 extra months to complete the work. The owner was not easy to get a hold of. read more

This was the worst experience of my life. My build took over 9 months to complete, well technically not done but as close as I will probably get. They do not comply with basic standards and were caught in several lies during this build. I went through three build foremans, the first did not even do a blue stake and failed every inspection. The second started off well but I soon learned he was a typical salesman telling what I wanted to hear and did not follow through. The last one showed up one day and never saw again, therefore reverted back to second one. They lacked general knowledge in several areas in which I had to point out to them to fix. The customer service is attrocious and was even told by an employee they were screening my calls to avoid me. I had to clean up behind them several times and did not take pride in their work. I strongly urge you to look somewhere else as you will be let down by this company over and over again! read more

So great, they have helped me keep an otherwise dead pool alive. They show up on time and have done the repAirs Ayr a fair price.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, we were referred by our pool builder and we have had problems from the get go with Elite. We waited for weeks for winter grass and when installed we pointed out low uneven sections, which they would not correct, we were assured in the spring summer grass would appear. They laid dried out sections and within months we had them come out because 1/3 of the lawn was hay like. They came back and threw seeds down. What ever they laid down must of been manure as our back yard was besieged with flies. We could not go in and out of our house because flies were everywhere. We hung traps and caught thousands and still today in 100 degree weather they still live in the few patches of grass in our yard. We have to put our patio fan on to allow us to run in and out of our house without flies getting in. Making our pool usage a nightmare always swatting flies. Neighbors on either side have no problems with their flies, SO if you want hay and flies this is your company. They refused to help us, they came out said they would speak to the owner of Elite and today sent an email saying sorry contract states you maintain the lawn, as if we ever had one!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY!!! read more
