He helped me talk through my vision and had to create a few versions of the landscape plan before we settled on a final version. As expected we had to wait a number of weeks before my scheduled start of construction but once scheduled they were here the day of nice and early. Construction continued for 2 full weeks with a variety of crew members, equipment, and vehicles to get the job done right. They worked every day from 730/8AM to 5/6. We have hired Ivan and his team for two projects on at our home. In 2019, we had an overgrown tree that had a limb blow down in a storm. We had hired him to trim the tree later in the week, but after the windstorm he re-arranged his schedule to pull us forward earlier in the week. We really appreciated this because the tree was dangerous to our home and our neighbors. They did an amazing job on our tree, and I'm sorry I don't have any pictures of that project. In 2020, we were written up by our HOA for overgrown aloe plants. I called several companies for quotes, and I decided to go with Landscape Guy when his quote was competitive with the other offers. He did us a solid favor the year earlier with the tree, and I trusted his work. We agreed on a day for the plant removal, and his team arrived in the morning. They were courteous and very thorough. In addition to removing the aloe plants, they also blew the front yard and carted off all the debris in our yard beyond the plants that they removed. They exceeded our expectations because we weren't expecting them to clean the seed, leaves and pods that had dropped from our neighbors tree onto our property. After being totally disappointed by a local landscaper I looked to Yelpers for a Landscaper to trust. Ivan and his team are very professional and are not afraid to tackle big jobs. Our new home needs TLC and the yard and land have been not been taken care of for a very long time. Our irrigation system doesn't work. Many plants were diseased or infested. New edition to my review: he planted a sissoo next to a pool. 5 years later, every subsequent trade (paver repair, pool guy, other landscapers) have commented that it was a horrible choice to plant a tree like that near pool with the root issues these trees create. Now I'll have to spend to rip the tree out, treat the roots that will continually sprout, and fix my pavers. Hoping it doesn't screw up my pool plumbing. Roughly 800-1700 to rip up a sissoo for any that's curious. Wonder if landscape guy would be willing to come remedy his mistake. read more

Regret using this company and spending almost $48k to get our yard done. Everything was done very cheap and half done, they started the work in Jul and here it is October and we're still having things that needs to be fixed. We have dead plants that we've asked to have replaced, our $7k waterfall doesn't function the way it should, pavers missing sand. The entire process was just annoying dealing with them. The gate they put up didn't match our other gate, you would think we would have been asked if we want the same material as our other gate. The sand used to fill some of the pavers was cheap, in a few years we will probably have to add more rocks in some areas. They put up a gazebo that couldn't fit our hot tub, then they tried to fix it and put up one that shook if you barely touched it so we had to pay someone else to put one up for us. Guess we will have to pay to have the dead plants replaced and have proper sand put in between our pavers. I would never hire them or recommend them to anyone. read more

Over the last 2 1/2 years, I've hired half a dozen different landscape maintenance companies to take care of my yard. I have had issues with each and every one of them until I contacted my Home Warranty company and they sent out The Landscape Guy. Two workers showed up right on time and did an awesome job. I couldn't be happier!!! While I have desert landscaping, I have a lot of mature shrubs and bushes that need to be trimmed. These guys trimmed everything and made everything symmetrical. The round bushes are round and the square bushes are square! Seems like an easy task, but these guys have been the only ones to do it right! I was told by Ivan's project manager I would have a quote within 48 hours, after I let them know we would be ready to start everything ASAP. I gave them until the end of the 48 hours then sent them a message asking when I could expect my quote. I was told by Ivan "I'm out of town until Tuesday." So I patiently waited until Wednesday (today) to get a quote and sent another message. My reply back from Ivan was "you will have a quote tomorrow" at this point I felt like we were an inconvenience so I told him we were good and will go another direction. I caught one of the workers smoking weed on the side of my house while taking a break. Not ideal, but I didn't tattle. Did a walkthrough with Ivan and mentioned a few balding spots in the rocks where workers had piled dirt that had been dug up from other places. He said he would have a guy come back later and smooth things out. Never heard from anyone after that. Four stars: the yard looks pretty nice and the price was fair. 2nd Update: I'm getting leaks in the drip system all over my property just under two years since completion. I've fixed three so far and another one just sprang up. I haven't contacted anyone because they weren't that helpful the first time they said they'd fix something. We were ok with Ivan. I can say Ivan did respond quickly and on time. Ivan arrived with a business card; but not a clip board, a measuring tape, and did not take pictures to document information regarding the job. We feel very uncomfortable, if ANY company(not just Ivan) shows up without information to take notes. It sets the presence, the company is not interested in the job right from the start; and you are a waste of time. Ivan did send us a quote within a couple days. We did ask why does this job need to be repaired/replaced; Ivan's reply: "If your needing an professional opinion on the wall we can provide that but we do charge a fee of $99." Ivan did not mention this on site, email or quote. If we would have known right from the beginning; we wouldn't have wasted Ivan's time. My yard has been badly neglected for years and I'm finally in a position to clean it up. First, he sent me an estimate for someone else's yard. When I got the right one, I got a bit of sticker shock, but I knew the yard was pretty bad so I accepted it. To be fair, he did do a lot of work. However the work was mediocre: tree branches were left on the roof, other branches were broken off rather than sawed, a bush that was visibly damaging a window screen wasn't fully trimmed, and so on. I let it go, again because the yard is so bad. It's not going to get cleaned up right away. He said he'd put me on the biweekly schedule. Six weeks later, he hadn't been back and the weeds were rampant. I contacted him and he said he had thought the yard would be fine for a month after the cleanup, which doesn't explain why a month and a half later he still hadn't come out. He said he'd come out the following week, making me wait even longer. And then he didn't show up for that one either. To be fair, he offered to come out for free after that. I didn't take him up on it because I don't trust him anymore, but at least he made the offer. read more

Communication could have been better but for the price... I couldn't complain to much. I did require Ivan's professional services at a time that was abnormally busy. He took an extra step in getting the Arabian jasmine which we wanted as this was not available in Moon valley nursery in Peoria.
