Do not recommend. I wanted a sparkle ombré but was told that she couldn't do that and was told to just pick out a glitter polish. I paid $30 when I could have just painted my own nails at home. I went with a friend who was also disappointed with her nails. She wanted ombré but was told that they could only do it on acrylic nails but another salon previously did it for her. This was my third visit here. My first visit here I had an appointment set up at 2. Showed up and was asked to come back an hour later. I was very annoyed because when you have a set time you expect it but I went back. And even then two ladies that arrived after me got taken care of before I did. Went in for ped and manny ... only soaked feet less than five minutes and asked why the rush ... was told they do not soak but wash off and start ... then salon person was so busy talking to others she ripped the side of my foot enough that I could not put Sandals back on since blood and open sore ...same process for hands .. no soaking fingers so curtails are rough ... in and out in less than 45 minutes for both services - not done at same times but separately! BEWARE! Under new, horrible, rude & nasty ownership! First, I was told that what I wanted didn't exist...even though I've had it done many times and its on the price list. When I said Lily and Daisy had done it for years, I was told "they're not in today, powder better." Since I was there, I decided to just get a normal manicure. While making small talk, I find out that Daisy is not there...because it's under new ownership, but they're "much better than Daisy." It became obvious that they were only going to do what they wanted to do. She brought out a clear nail polish with a pink tint, and asked if I was sure I wanted that. It was NOT the opaque pale pink I asked for and have always used. When another woman came in, they also convinced her to do what they wanted (powder), told her "we do better than Daisy" several times...then had the nerve to say that Daisy ripped off her clients by charging more than the actual price of the service. Total BS! They always charged exactly what the price list said. She bought out another pink for me and started doing my nails. When I looked at them, the color was bright bubble gum pink - the opposite of the baby pink I wanted. By that point, all I wanted was to get out of there, so I let her finish. As I was paying, a phone call came in, and again I heard the BS that "Daisy isn't in today", and when the woman asked when she'd be back, was finally told she's no longer there, and again put down the old ownership saying they were so much better. Every time Ive had my acrylic nails done here a few end up breaking within a few days. It also takes FOR-EV-ER. 2 hours for a full set and a pedicure... I found this nail salon from yelp. I called beforehand and wanted to be very specific with the look I was going for. I arrive and she seemed very confident.... long story short ... while trying to create a coffin nail & filing/ drilling my nails .. Lily cut open my skin twice .... I made sure she was aware and she said it's just a paper cut. Then continued to fill my nail The next morning two of my finger tips are throbbing and are filled with acrylic solution ! (The acrylic powder she used was red) I'm so so so frustrated. I am a hairstylist and my hands are my tools. I've been going to the Elite Nail salon for many years because the staff is excellent at what they do. The spa is very clean. The ambiance is calm and there is appropriate music playing as well as a TV showing beautiful pictures for the customers. As many all over San Diego the staff are from other countries. In this salon they speak with each other in their native language but also speak English. It doesn't bother me as my English language is foreign to them and they are the ones making an effort. Please don't let one person's opinion sway you from trying this salon. It's sad when someone is so unhappy with themselves that they feel the need to ruin others lives. read more

Horrible! I walked in and asked for gel nails and got French tips on my short nails. I even asked the woman who did my nails if I should do acrylics or gels thinking they were both ways to add to my nails since they are so short. I asked for a unique design on my toes (a Christmas polka dot nail I found on Pinterest) and a candy cane design on my ring fingers for my nails. They were very nice, professional, and very accommodating. LiLi (Lily?) did my fill and went out of her way to show me all sorts of colors till I found exactly what I wanted. The lady started my manicure, after about 10 minutes, another customer came in and the manicurist told me she was going to do her manicure quickly and then finish mine. Her manicure took over 40 minutes while i waited there. The manicurist and other customer were friends and knew each other. I wanted to leave but my manicure was already started. She then finished my manicure. I was there for 2 hours. I didn't stay to get my pedicure because They took a girl who came in after me to do a pedicure before me, so i would've had to wait even longer. It was the most rushed and brutal session I've ever had. My skin was covered In Gel, it was lumpy, misshapen, I was yelled at by the nail tech for supposedly using soap to wash my hands, which I did not, etc... the woman was mean and Terrible. Anyways it was such a terrible job I waited 2 more hours there to have it redone. I asked for someone else. I specifically asked her to focus on my callus removal but she completely ignored that. Ugh. My manicure is HORRIBLE. My cuticles are still visible, there's fingerprints in my polish, some of my nails are oddly shaped and jagged. I will say that the place is clean and roomy. After coming here for years, today was my last visit. This salon has been on a steady decline for the last several months and considering you can find a nail salon as readily as you can a Starbucks, I'll be giving my business to people who deserve and appreciate it. Gel Manicure and pedicure took a total of about 25 minutes- those familiar will understand why this is a problem. Not a single conversation was started except for the employees who were doing the have assed work.
