It makes me sad when a place that was once great has changed. This was always my go to nail place when I was visiting Michigan. The owner and his wife had a good team of employees but over the last year the quality and service have both gone downhill. It seems they were always in a hurry and would rush through. On this last visit, I decided to see if things had changed for the better again but it doesn't appear that way. I came in 3 weeks ago for dip nails. The end result was sloppy and the topcoat was peeling off in one day. On the second day two nails cracked, one so bad it was bleeding. I did go back and showed the owner how bad my nails looked just 3 days later. He said they would fix it. They did fix my nails but the young lady doing them was rude and walked away without a word when she finished. I was going to give a tip for her time but after quickly walking away I figured why. Even with the new topcoat within 2 days a third nail broke and again the top coat peeled off. I decided not to go back and doubt I'll return until they use better quality materials and train their staff better. read more

I booked to only get my acrylics taken off, the lady burned me multiple times while filing with the drill and just seemed completely clueless in the way she conducted my service. I have never had to get up in the middle of my service and leave because my nails were too hot. On top of that she filed down the thickness of my natural nail on the nail bed!! read more

Jenny used a new product on my nails today that is a hybrid gel. I absolutely love my nails. I had written off powder gels. Jenny applied the hybrid gels and it seemed like way less time and they look like my natural nail, not thick like the powder gel. Also, Jenny is super knowledgeable and nice. She also did some great freehand artwork making a English D (go Tigers) and some cool tiger stripes. My nails look awesome read more

This place is not good anymore. I came back after not getting my nails done there for a few years and was shocked at how little they care about customers. I got a mani pedi and both were bad. I got shellac nails that were painted like a child did them. I had a black piece of hair cured into the shellac and when I tried to tell the woman she tried convincing me that the black hair was PART OF MY NAIL. Once my pedicure was "done" I had to ask the woman to wipe the paint off my skin on multiple toes.. not sure how she thought her work was complete. I felt like I completely wasted my money. I got my nails done for prom, it was a great price and my friend had just got her nails done and they looked good. I went in and waited about 10 minutes or so to get started. After getting started the man left to take his son somewhere. I thought it was a little odd but i didnt ask questions because I know it can be hard to parent and work at the same time. I asked for the first picture with the two middle nails and what i got was the second picture. When doing my nails, he was a bit rough on them but still, I get it. The shaping was off. There is wayyyy too much polish so it's very blob like and appears heavy. My hands HURT from the gouging. There are pockets of air in the polish. On June 18 I was in this salon and there was a Hugh argument going on. Yelling in their language . It continued for over an hour. i was getting my nails done and then my feet. The person doing my feet was actually crying. The point is I should have left. I did not leave however, I have two large sores in my feet (on the bottom), from them being scraped way to deep with the thing that peels your skin off. I had two toes bleeding and one toe that's very infected. I know I should have left but, I was to big of a coward to say stop. When I finally left it was about 1 1/2 hours and they were still screaming at each other . It was the lady and man that run the nail salon and the older person that does pedicure. I wanted a French manicure and was very apprehensive because they could either end up really good or really bad but mine turned out gorgeous!! I believe the woman's name who did mine was Tina. Well... me and my friend went to Elite Nails for her to get her nails and toes done, we call in to see if they are busy and they said we could just walk in. Everything was going good, we walk in there and they put us at a pedicure station. We sat there waiting for someone to start for 30 mintues. I ended up having to ask if someone could start on us because we had to be somewhere at 7:00. Good nail salons are so hard to come by! Honestly, I haven't found one I would return to. A friend and I stopped in to get shellac, both in the color black. The woman doing my nails was a tad bit rude. She asked me if I wanted to get my eyebrows done THREE TIMES. I told her each time I wasn't interested. The lights for setting the shellac were really hot, almost to the point of burning my nails. It was $30 which I thought was a little high. When I went to pay I was told they only take cash tips. I had no cash on me so I told her I would run to the ATM and come back and she rudely walked away. I came back, dropped off the tip, and went happily on my way. This is my second visit ever. The first visit was great! Got a full set, no issues, no chipping. This visit yesterday, i had the short guy (owners husband), he was rough with my hands and made me bleed. When i told him it hurt he kept doing what he was doing. I used to love this place but lately the owner is rude and standoffish. Some of the girls there are nice but some will not even say hello as they go your nails. Today one of them cut one of my nails too short then, proceeded to argue with me that it was cause of my nail bed. I told her she needed to rebuild some of the length and she looked annoyed to have to do that and continued to tell me it was my nails.... I've been getting my nails done for 20 years and have not had this issue she was talking about. I'm a good tipper but this was too much and I only gave her $3.00. Will probably never go back. This is only the second time I had a pedicure done, and they did the normal set up, and had me soak. I soaked for about 10 mins, then the tech started clipping my nails, as he was clipping my nails I'm cringing because he's making my toes bleed! I tried to tell him he was hurting my toes, but he insisted I had hang nails. I told him to just stop! I ended up leaving the salon with what would be a majorly infected toe. I ended up getting very sick! I had cellulitis and an abscess on my great toe. I had to go to the dr over 1/2 dozen times to get my toe healed. I received over 5 different antibiotics to try and cure my infection. I Learned a very valuable lesson, I am going to be doing my own nails from now on! read more

Very nice, clean business. A man named Kenny did my nails, and he was very thorough and did a great job. He fixed a very crappy set of acrylics from another salon without having to remove them and apply a new set. Just a note: They accept credit cards but are unable to add the tip to the card, so be sure to take cash for a tip. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw a nail technician briefly run used tools under water for less that 10 seconds, dry them, place them into a new bag, seal the bag, and carry that over to the next customer as if they were new or properly sanitized tools. I not only watched this once....it continued to happen. Some of the technicians quickly brushed the tools before placing them into a new bag for use, but not enough to actually clean them. So I went to a real professional and I find out the way Elite Nails had put my acrylic tips on wasn't even 'legal' is the world of cosmetology. Now that I look back, there were probably 10 to 12 people working, yet only 5 cosmetology licenses are hung up at the entrance. The amount of damage that was done to my nails and cuticles is horrendous. I am so upset with myself for not saying anything when it was all happening. I should have known better when I watched the man take my pedicure tools, rinse them off and then seal them in a new bag. Fearful of hurting any feelings, I didn't say anything. I am not the type that normally complains, however, if this could possibly prevent someone from going through the same thing as me, it'll be worth it. When I returned to see how many licenses were on display, that same man who didn't properly sterilize the equipment shooed me out and tried to prevent me from examining the licenses. Maybe some of the employees in their do a nice job.... All i know is I will not be returning to find out and I alerted the Michigan Board of Cosmetology to my experience there. read more

Bobby... the owner, shouts out "pick a color" before he even asks what you'ld like to have done. I recently had an "ok" pedicure and wanted a new set of acrylics only because I was attending a wedding. My nails looked like canoe paddles!!!! This place is disgusting! So dirty and old polish. They are rude here, and I guarantee breaking major state laws when it comes to sanitation. I literally watched the guy, owner use the bathroom and open the door so fast and not wash his hands and came to sit down to do my nails. Then, had a towel full of nails and filing dust and just dropped it all on the floor and went to use the same towel under my nails. I told him absolutely not. I wanted to throw up.
