Amazing service! My nails look perfect. Clean salon, great prices, and excellent service.

I visited Elite Nails on 7/16, and unfortunately, the service I received was extremely rude and unprofessional from the beginning. I asked for a simple gel manicure on my natural nails. The nail technician immediately had an attitude about how short my nails were and repeatedly insisted that I get acrylics. I clearly explained that I did not want acrylics and only wanted my natural nails painted. She continued to have an attitude throughout the service, complained while doing my nails, and then, when she finished, told me that I had "given her a hard time" because of the length of my nails. I found that extremely disrespectful, especially since I was simply asking for the service I requested. The pedicure experience was just as disappointing. I chose a color that I wanted, but the technician insisted that the color would not look good with my brown skin tone and tried to discourage me from using it. I found that comment inappropriate and unnecessary. My skin tone should never be a reason to tell me that I cannot or should not wear a particular color. The technician also used a nail file and nail drill on the bottoms of my feet to remove dead skin, but the service did not feel thorough or effective. Throughout the appointment, she repeatedly asked questions about pricing in a way that made me feel as though she was questioning whether I could afford the services I was requesting. That was extremely uncomfortable and insulting. What also bothered me was hearing another customer speak disrespectfully to the nail technicians and tell them that she did not want them speaking their native language. I found that behavior rude and uncomfortable, especially because everyone deserves to be treated with respect regardless of what language they speak. Overall, I left feeling disrespected, uncomfortable, and unwelcome. Customers should be able to receive the service they request without being pressured into something else, judged based on their appearance or skin tone, or made to feel uncomfortable about pricing. Based on my experience on 7/16, I unfortunately would not recommend Elite Nails. read more

Other places, it has stayed on and just grew out after time. Took my daughter here the first time and she dint complain so I went on my own the next time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Such an awful experience![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I called ahead of time asking if they did Dip nails, and they confirmed they did. Dip nails is also listed on their menu of services. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I also asked if they applied clear gel over the dip and they said yes, and said they would do whatever I wanted.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I made and appointment. When I got there I repeated that I wanted dip and clear gel over the dip. They had no samples of their dip colors and honestly that should've been my first red flag. I told them the color I was looking for and one of the ladies brought out some dusty canisters with no labeling of the name of the colors. I picked one and my technician seemed very confused (out of practice) as to how to apply the dip using the different bond steps. Honestly this really was the biggest red flag. The process on my very short nails should've taken no more than an hour, and it took her 2 hours. When she was finished my nails looked like there were tiny bubbles, but I figured maybe the color had sparkles so I didn't question it. Several days later the "gel" top coat started peeling off. Then I realized she must have used regular clear polish instead of using actual gel polish. She cured the clear polish under the UV light so that's why they bubbled. What a nightmare! An expensive nightmare. So these dip nails that usually last me 3 - 5 weeks only lasted 7 days. The top coat peeled off and the acrylic dip started lifting. I will never ever go back to Elite Nails. Walked in without an appointment and luckily they had availability. I was impressed my the friendliness of the staff and cleanliness! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I got the mani-pedi ($45) and both the staff helped me pick a color I liked.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] For my hands, I asked for almond shape and clean cuticles, and she nailed it! For my toes, she cut them the perfect short length and used an electric trimming tool to shave off old skin. My toes have never looked better! IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STAR I WOULD Today I had a 2 o'clock appointment. I came here with my sister-in-law and my niece. I'm from Philly so I'm not familiar with this location or technicians but my sis spoke highly of these folks. I did have a few nails cracked so they needed to be repaired. Other than that my nails were ok. Seriously I began with one technician who took my dip powder off my left hand with no problems. Then I was told the technician in chair one by the door would finish. Odd because the technician who started my nails was doing someone pedicure. So you stoped her from doing my nails to do a pedicure. I sit down and she files then put acetone on my nails and nearly desolved them all then tells me she has to cut my nails all off. At this point I have no other choice since the left had was a mess and the right was normal. She then tells me she has an appointment and sends me back to the first technician she puts tips on too small and eventually has to take them all off. Then she files my natural nails at an angle trying to shape them. Why??? I'm so upset. No perturb is more appropriate. It's nearly 6 o'clock and I'm still here. Now I'm waiting on another technician to do my nails because now I'm being told the original technician didn't know how to do dip powder nails. Then why did you assign her to me. I'm baffled right now but I ain't leaving until they are fixed properly. The most absurd request was when they asked me if you could return tomorrow. Noooooo I have a commitment once I finally leave here. I'm so angry I've been here like it's my part time job yes it's been 4 hours now. My nails when tech attempted to dip powder. Right. Wtfreak. My nails before I came here. I waited until 6 to get my nails done by the man at the second table. In an hour he did my nails. The tech at table one kept apologizing and told me the lady who did my nails didn't know what to do. WHY WAS SHE DOIN MY NAILS!!! She said she was not going to charge me for my nails. I left at 7:30pm and when it was time to pay...wait for it. I was charged $115. She did charge me for my nails that were short which should've been $35. I was there for 5 hours, 3 technicians on my nails, 2 times tips were put on and removed and 1 person qualified to do the job. No discount. She said she would r charge for the take off...$10. I was livid. Although my sister had left with my niece 2.5 hours ago and the disappointment I was charged full price. She even said she wouldn't charge me the dollar fee. But she did My sister-in-law ans brother said I shouldn't have paid and I paid. I was livid trust me. I will never come here EVER & if I were you I would never come to this corner shack nail salon. You would think I'd get a discount after the neglect, abuse and disrespect of my time. My day and evening were ruined. I left with a headache, my right shoulder was right from the anxiety as I wanted to react differently and my shoulder was tense and hard yes from this experience. I had to change my review. The OPI polish started chipping off in like 2 days. It almost always last 3-4 weeks. Really annoyed. Maybe you should bring in your own base and top coat polish. Just FYI. I have been a loyal customer too them for a very long time but today marks the end. I walk in I see it's busy pretty normal They eventually call me so far so good it's 2:30 pm today I'm asking her for a specific set of colors that I like to pick from No one seems to know where it is Finally she said it's in the trash (hmmm yeah right) (Keep in mind I'm a regular and I give good tips) so she starts filling off the color and put one set of foil on my hand ... left hand only Anyway I start to get a little frustrated but it's just color so no big deal I was going to pick a dIfferent color Then suddenly she said move to the side my appointment is here (Apparently she thought the appointment was at two and she told the customer 230) So now I do get upset and I'm like no you are already helping me and it's your mistake not mine (and the reason I said that was because if she would've said hey were too busy come back later I would've came back later instead of waiting that was my whole point so they automatically heels that I was upset and they said no five minutes somebody else is going to help you and I'm the type of customer that I don't like multiple people touching my hands because my hands are natural and it's just something that I don't like is my preference I was so close of walking now but that's just not me eventually this other lady comes and I tell her what color I want and then we're going I'm not seeing much I'm upset so I'm just trying to get this over with then for five minutes later the colors that I was looking for magically appear I think she brought them out just to make me happy So I change my mind and I told her the color that I wanted the original color that I wanted which was white with some sort of soft sparkles. Anyway I forgot to mention when I sat down with the first girl I told her that one finger which is my thumb was a fake nail so with the fake nails with gel you cannot put acetone because it's going to melt it's a different procedure to take the gel off so back to the story now with this new girl and she's just putting acetone on my nails like crazy again I told her my thumbnail is fake she didn't listen the nail Milton she wanted to keep it melted nail that is not even a nail and put acrylic on top of that so that was already a lot of red flags finally my nails are done She didn't do a good job removing cuticles and my thumb looked a mess then she was like upset as you follow my thumb because I told her she put too much acrylic on it and she ended up messing up my nail so she told me to go talk to the owner and the owner said it was not that bad I said I'm paying you and I don't like it what are you talking about at this point I don't even care so I told her to take it off and do it over and she did and then when she finished again we had a problem so I still gave her a $10 tip it's not about the money but they lost me as a customer I'm never coming back and there's a lady that I've never been with before and it's very unfortunate like I said but it's crazy to Me suffer one now they're getting upset and then she was getting upset at me about the mail like if I was doing them now and then she wanted to even charge me for the nail four dollars after they made the mistake so everybody in the salon was looking I know Kathy knew I was upset but like I said now I have this weird looking dumb that I don't even know what to do with it and I still paid for the side I still tipped her and my nails still doesn't look good so enjoy the picture read more

I came in here on Thursday evening because my gel manicure from another place was getting old and starting to chip and I had a presentation the next day. I also had my son with me and he has nasty nails so I usually have him get a no polish mani pedi. We walked in and it looked very busy, I wasn't sure if they'd be able to take us so I asked what the wait is for a walk-in and let them know what services we wanted. A woman just said 'yes' and then started talking to her coworker, I thought she was going to let me know an approximate wait but I stood there for a few minutes and they had all gone back to what they were doing. My son was sitting in the car finishing his take out dinner because we were having one of those rushed evenings with lots of errands. I walked out to see how he was doing and was debating just going to another place since the wait looked long and I hadn't gotten an answer. A woman chased me out screaming "Come, we're ready for you" and waving her arms. "Ready now? For both of us?" I asked. I explained to her that I had come out to get my son and that he was eating and asked her again TWICE if they were ready for both of us right away, and she said yes. My son asked "Why is she so aggressive?" Lol. We were rushed back in and told to sit in two chairs and then IGNORED for 10 minutes. I was really angry at this point but now it was getting late to try and walk in somewhere else. If they had said it was a 15-20 minute wait I would have been fine with that. I was not ok with them lying to keep us there. They moved me to two different seats I guess to make me feel like they were doing something soon. Then finally started on my gel manicure. They started on my son 10 minutes later. I was really unhappy with they manicure. The polish was clearly cheap. She kept saying it was 'sheer' but the sample nail was not sheer at all. She had to do 4 coats and it still looked splotchy. The paint was all over my cuticles and is ALREADY chipping by the 3rd day. Normally gel manicures last me almost 3 weeks with no chipping. Then to make matters worse, the woman who came outside and lied that they were ready for us right away and practically forced us back into the place came over and told me I look tired. Um, thanks? Then she asked me 4 times if I wanted her to give me a pedicure. No,no,no,no. My son's nails were cut sooo short that they hurt for 2 days until they grew back to normal. I am really unhappy with the service provided here. Since it's close to my house and my aunt is a regular, I decided to give Elite Nails a chance. I just wanted to get my gel nails (both fingers and toes) removed, and it says their removal only costs $7-8, not bad! However, they ended up charging me $32 in total for gel removal of both my fingers and toes. They gave me a pedicure (nail cleaning, but no color) without asking me, adding an additional charge. Then, they also gave me a manicure without asking, adding ANOTHER additionally charge. The were very unclear about the costs when I asked them for the specific breakdown. Even in spite of these sketchy charges, they did a TERRIBLE job with my nails. The tips of my fingers and toes are still sore 3 days after. The lady who worked on my nails filed them so roughly and she also cut them super unevenly (see picture for reference). Also there were so many scratch marks on my nails from the gel removal. read more

Elite Nails is by far the best place I've been to since I've been getting my nails done. I really hope Jenny, Rosie and Ann retire from there!! Rosie is great with removing excess skin on toes and Jenny and Ann are my two favs for acrylics. I usually stick to Jenny and man, does she get down to business!! She is so detailed and does really great work. This place is a little pricier than others I've been to, but now I rather pay more for quality work.
