My technician however was more interested in watching the world cup than she was providing a service I was paying for. I got my nails done for my cousin's wedding that was going to be in another state. I did a brand new full set. Within 2 days, one of my nails had broke and the other 9 were already starting to lift. I didn't get back until a week after I had gotten them done, and when I went to ask for a refund (because I no longer trust them to do my nails properly), I was told because I didn't call or take a picture of the broken nail within 3 days (which I had a picture of getting the nail redone at a different salon on the third day and I had a wedding and funeral to go to that day) I couldn't receive a refund. I don't usually write such long reviews but I've had two poor experiences here. I used to get manicures here many years ago without any issues but my last few visits have been less than enjoyable. A couple months ago I got a gel manicure for a vacation I was taking the next day. Turns out the nail tech accidentally put the base coat on last. This lead to the polish cracking the next day and looked horrible for my trip. They did fix it for no charge when I returned but that mistake was very hard on my nails. The polish was nearly impossible to get off. I spent over an hour with multiple techs trying to get it off. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt so I went back for a pedicure today. The man who seemed to be the manager told me it was a 10-15 minute wait. I waited a half hour before I got brought back, then sat there waiting with my feet soaking for another 20. All said and done it took 1 hour and 40 minutes for a basic pedicure. The tech also did a subpar job. She vigorously started filing my big toe nail and was hitting skin. I had to pull my foot away. It happened so fast I couldn't stop her before it created the damage. The tip of my toe is now very sore and red. The polish also looks quite sloppy. The employees seemed nice but I will not be returning. read more

Unfortunately this is the first negative review I've ever felt complied to write. I went in for a pedicure and sat down and was in the chair for MAYBE 10 minutes while she "completed" doing my feet. I got my legs rubbed and massaged. But I am not exaggerating when I say that not one of my toes were clipped. Mind you I paid for a pedicure. If I remember correctly the process of a pedicure includes a clipping. I maintain my own feet being cleaned and clipped so it's not as if I had nasty a** feet that she would have not wanted to work on. I've been to this location three times and have had decent service, but this was absolutely the last time I'll be giving this location any service. I am still in awe that I paid for a pedicure that lasted all but maybe 9 minutes at most and left without any work actually done. read more

I am fairly annoyed, unfortunately. I went to this place for my niece's birthday as a fun gift. When we were done and paying, I noticed I was being charged higher than last time I came. I also noticed my niece had some drawings on her two big toes and two big thumbs so I figured she asked for it since it was her birthday. I mean who am I to say something if she really wanted it. When we got home, my sister commented that it was something unexpected and they were pretty. Her answer was, "I didn't want it. The nice guy just put it on." I've been coming to Elite Nails for years and have been satisfied. Today I arrived as a walk in and asked for the Luxury pedicure (45 minutes with extra attention paid to callous removal). I was in and out in less than 30 minutes and she spent 30 seconds on callous removal). She seemed rushed and when she told me I was done, I wanted to confirm it was just an express pedicure. She said no. I know places are doing their best, but if you don't have time for a proper luxury pedicure you should simply let your customer know. I think I'll try a new place.. read more

I went to Elite Nail Salon in Maple Grove and had one of the worst experiences. I have gone there multiple times previously but never again. The woman removed my gel polish with a sharp chisel which gouged my nail and made them thin. She put gel polish on but it was thick in some spots and my nails are bumpy. She was rude also! I went with 2 others for a pedicure. The tech kept asking me what type of pedicure I wanted. I told her just a basic, she kept saying luxury yes. I said no just basic. So the basic is $27 for a 30 min pedi. She started my pedi but kept looking away as she filed my nails. The emery board was cutting into my toes, very painful. At one point I even said Ouch, could you please watch while you are doing this. When she began applying the polish, she wasn't able to get much out of the bottle, so she added 12 drops of a clear liquid and shook the bottle and then applied it to my toes. I thought that was rather strange, seemed like she was trying to stretch the polish. My entire pedi was complete in16 minutes!!! She didn't have a name tag on, so I don't know which gal it was. The other 2 people that I went with weren't even close to being finished. She took me out to the front and I waited 20 minutes for my two friends. Based on my tech I would not recommend going to this spa for anything!! It is unfortunate that this happened but I feel because I wouldn't do the luxury pedi with her she was irritated and wanted to be done with me. read more

Horrible experience! I had previous gel on my toes, they told me it was standard procedure to PEEL it off. Not only is it painful it is unhealthy to peel the top layer of the nail off! They made a big deal of me requesting to have an alcohol soak and file...which then took forever. After over an hour I couldn't stay and left before I could get polish on. They still charged me the full basic pedicure price. Not cool! To top it off annoying 3 year old getting pedicure next to me watching show on Mom's phone loud enough for whole pedi spa to hear. I have visited this salon for years, under MANY different management teams. I have received good manicures, but last time I paid $5 EXTRA for a new, purplish, gel polish. The next morning the polish on my thumb peeled off in one piece! From a GEL polish, which usually lasts MONTHS. I was leaving for vacation, so when I got back went into ask them to redo with a different gel polish. Because I was out of town for two weeks, they said they would charge me $15 for a new manicure!I I have THREE nails with polish still on them, although they are chipped! Obviously something was VERY WRONG with that polish, or with the application process. Shocked at the reaction because I don't care of it was a month, GEL POLISH DOES NOT FALL OFF YOUR NAILS. This nail shop is a rip off. I was $50.00 for gel polish on my hands and toes, removing old gel polish from my toes. That's all I had done and they charged me $50.00 bucks! Not a mani- pedi... I'm not one to complain about places, in fact this is my first review ever! But..... I came to get a fill and this might be the worst job I've ever had done on my nails. The nail polish is VERY uneven and sloppy, my middle finger and thumb nail is crooked. My tech sanded the side of my finger, it bled so she put glue on it? She really messed up my nails and I'm very bummed about it because 1.) I paid 30$ plus I tipped her 2.) people look at my nails all the time and it's embarrassing to have such a cruddy job done on them. Quite possibly the worst pedicure I have ever had! Went there Friday with a girlfriend for pedicures. I asked my tecj if she would go a bit shorter on the big toe nails, she smiled and nodded but did not oblige.That's when I realized she did not speak a word of English, just pointed and smiled the whole time. She did not smooth out the rough spots on my heels, all of my toenails have sharp edges which I had to file down myself last night. She did not put my sandals back on before polish, she put those foam flip flops on me. After sitting under the UV dryer I attempted to put my shoes on and it marred the polish on one big toe. She came and put another coat on the nicked spot without smoothing it out. (Looked like crap) Our 45 minute appointment took 1-1/2 hours! We left the salon at 1pm. At 6:30pm that night I put on socks and shoes to run an errand. I was gone less than an hour-when I removed my socks both of my big toenails had badly marred polish! My girlfriend's one foot was bleeding when she got home and she is not happy with her pedi either. Her tech spent more time chasing after and making lunch for her two kids that were running around the salon than working on her feet! Will NEVER go back to this salon! read more
