At first a visit was $160, then when I checked out, I only owed $40, that's good but...the doctor who knew exactly what I needed bc he sold contacts to me before and knew that's what I was currently wearing didn't give me my contacts prescription, that's ok I just call and ask for it..,nope...that will be $75 extra dollars. He knew I wasn't getting my contacts through him so he charged more. Get it together people! Charge same amount to every customer. You don't get to pick who gets charged more bc their instance pays you less or they decide to save money and get their contacts cheaper elsewhere. Quit taking advantage of people! SHAME!

As others have noted, the support staff at the front is shockingly out of tune with their patients (that term should actually be "customers", because this is NOT a medical service provider. More on that later). The overwhelming feeling you get is that you are an unintelligent nuisance, rather than the paying customer that you are. Furthermore, it becomes evident quickly that these gatekeepers don't really know what they're doing or how to do it. When they become self conscious about that, they will step up efforts to gaslight you and really make you pay for their own ineptitude. Once you get past the gargoyles at the front, you begin with the basic series of eye tests from a technician who is already trying to upsell your exam with alternatives to pupil dilation. Odd, but okay whatever, let's continue. Off to the exam room. I was not able to see Dr Nash, but the doctor I did get was good, hence the second star. She seemed efficient, knowledgeable, and thorough, although she was quite cold and not very personable. Okay exam is over, time to pick some frames. But from where? It had struck me that the selection seemed rather sparse when I first walked in, but I thought surely there must be some out-of-sight show room or a hidden display somewhere with ample selection. They certainly have the space at the facility. But, nope. What you see is what you get and let me tell ya, it's not much. I would feel confident estimating that the options were 1/20th of what you'd find with any other optometrist. With nothing to settle on, I opted to retain my old frames and just get new lenses with the new prescription. And here's where they level the boom on you; "basic lenses" will still cost you out of pocket. But should you want scratch protection and anti glare coating; $365. Excuse me?? What?! I have top notch insurance, I have never paid anywhere close to that for new glasses (frames and lenses) with all the bells and whistles. "Can you please check that again?" [the ineptitude cogs start clunking] "Yep, that's right" comes the response. Riiiight. Welp, I'm out. Thanks for the new prescription guess I'm ordering online. This place is just milking its customer base for every penny they can get under the guise of "eye care". This is not an eye care center. This is a grossly overpriced eyewear store, and the staff are just salespeople, rude ones at that. The convenience of location for some does not mitigate the negatives.

Both years the doctor got offended when I declined her upsell attempts. When you check in, the standard check in paperwork is you consenting to pay additional for non-necessary tests and then act like I'm the asshole for declining after I realized the scam they were running! Also they shipped my contacts to the wrong address even after I confirmed it in writing. No apology or accountability. I had to go drive to the wrong address in the middle of the workday to retrieve. They get two stars instead of one star because they can, in fact, give prescriptions for glasses and contacts. Just don't hope for much else.

He was incredibly unprofessional, unorganized and just plain unlikable. The visit began by DR. FRYE yelling my name from down a hallway while I sat in the waiting room. Then he demands that I wear a face mask in his office. Now, I have a toddler with me, so i am holding her and fumbling with this mask. I initially put it on upside down. He makes me turn it around while he is wearing his under his nose! We finally get to why I am there. I tell him that my eyes have been red and burning for a month and a half. He pulls up my scans from my annual visit earlier that year and asks me if my mother had rheumatoid arthritis. WHAT? Next he proceeds to push his ungloved finger into my lower eyelid to see if something comes out of the glands located there. His fingernail touched and hurt each of my eyeballs! This man insisted that I wear a mask, and yet he did not wash his hands before he stuck them in my eyes and he did not wash them when he was done. Eventually he decided that I had and autoimmune disorder. He prescribed incredibly expensive prescription eyedrops that may or may not help. 4 days later, i have NOT filled this prescription and my eyes have been improving on their own. I have never been so upset by my treatment at the hands of a "Doctor". His disrespect was not only limited to me. He treated other staff members disrespectfully, in front of me! The best part of this appointment was how well my 19 month old behaved. She was a perfect angel. I will say that I still am impressed and adore the rest of the staff there. They would get 5 stars. This awful DR. FRYE would get negative stars if I could give them. Beware! Make sure you know which doctor is available before you make your appointment. I have never left a review like this anywhere. That is how much this visit traumatized me.
