After service and a complimentary cleaning at Elite this girl is looking and running great!

Elite is always thorough, customer service is great here and my car always comes out of this shop clean and well cared for. This is a great family-owned and operated place of business and it shows in the way they care for their customers and vehicles. Pricing is transparent and fair and they go over all your options and let you know which things are important and which should be done soon. Always a pleasure doing business with this shop.

NEVER AGAIN! In August 2020, I took my Audi S4 in for a complete brake job (replace both front and back). I normally/usually take it to Inskip but decided to try Elite Auto. The Service Rep asked me if I wanted Audi OEM parts or aftermarket and I stated Audi OEM. I realize that I will pay more for Audi parts but will still be cheaper overall compared to the Audi Dealership (Inskip). Prior to leaving my car I took a photo of my odometer of 71,222 miles. Fast forward to when my car was ready... Paid for my service, went out to my car, and noticed the odometer now stated 71,241. Of course I realize that after certain service jobs a test drive is necessary so I went back into the office to ask. The Service Rep stated that yes, we did a test drive and the route we take is down Route 37, make a u turn and come back Route 37 to the shop. Route 37 is ~ 3 miles so down and back would be ~ 6 miles. So I asked why is there 20 miles listed on my car? The Service Rep stated that they didn't know why but would find out. Fast forward to today (Sept 2021)... About 4 weeks ago I noticed a clicking sound coming from my front brakes when I would initially exit my garage and then just last week my Brade Pad Alert Warning Light came on. So I scheduled an appointment with Inskip to find out what was the issue. New OEM brakes on an Audi S4 should last at least 3 years but since COVID I no longer commute to Boston, so my car is not driven as much as what it used to when I did the daily commute (back in January 2020) so you would think the brakes would still be in great shape. ~NOPE~ Per Inskip: cheap aftermarket brake pads/parts were utilized the brakes on my Audi S4 are NOT factory OEM. You have been warned... I will NEVER go back or recommend them to ANYONE!

My wife and I now own two mid 80s European sports cars, a 1988 Ferrari and a 1986 Porsche 911. The 911 comes to us from the personal collection of Jim Paiva, owner of the shop. We first test drove the car in the fall and I noticed a slight skip in the acceleration between the lower gears. (The car has been stored for some time and I believe Jim when he sad he had never noticed it before). So he and his crew began the diagnostic nightmare of trying to figure out what I know to sometimes be nightmares with these mid 80s Porsches and their (at the time state of the art) but now, ancient computer module systems. It took many months of part chasing and much expense on his part but he ended up fixing it and it now runs flawlessly. Additionally, he rebuilt the air conditioning system as a courtesy because my wife wanted the AC to work (Note, he advertised the car as not having the AC working so this he did not have to do). With all of the added work and expense on his part, he stuck to his original handshake price with me. That is not only the mark of a true gentleman, but a first class human being who could've easily told me that the price had gone up due to the extra work and time he spent getting the car fixed. From here on in all of my exotics are going to be going to Elite for their maintenance and repair.

Be fair with their prices and honest with their work. I've never had a bad experience at any Firestone, but these guys in particular are really just outstanding and really deserving of praise. I can't believe it's taken me this long to write a review! I've been coming to this location for about 4 years now. They are always kind, explain everything and are happy to answer any questions you may have. They are always happy to make recommendations, but never, ever make you feel like you're being forced into making repairs. They are honest, work efficiently and have great attention to detail. These guys really make an effort to get to know their customers, too, which is also rare in my experience. I had an issue in early 2016 where my car broke down on the side of the New Jersey turnpike. I was 21, had never had an incident like this away from home, and was just with one of my good friends. We were two young girls stranded in (what felt like) the middle of nowhere. I had it towed to the nearest Firestone, and the guys were great there, but they were having a really difficult time (I mean, they told me I may need to get a tow from NJ back to RI) locating the part that I needed (it was a small bolt that had snapped off). In a panic, I called my local Firestone to ask them for advice. Chic and his team were literal lifesavers on this day. They were able to identify the part number, locate the closest place the guys in NJ could get said part, and were the true reason my car was able to be fixed/driven back to RI. They went above and beyond here and I'll never be able to thank them enough for that. More recently, I had to get four new tires (which I dreaded) around Labor Day, and Mike worked with me to find the right kind of tire for me/a set that was in my price range. He made the experience easy and seamless. I just got my brakes and inspection done yesterday at this location. They were incredibly fast, kept me updated, and called me as soon as it was done. It was a Saturday and they seemed very busy, but it only took a little over two hours - which is incredibly fast to me, because I normally have to wait 3 hours for an oil change at my dealership. Their prices are modest and they always offer great coupons/discounts. I tell everyone I know to go see Chic, Mike, and the rest of these guys. They always go above and beyond and are overall a fantastic team.

They are a waste of a person time.

Such is the case with this PepBoys location. I choose to pay a little more strictly for the service. Today I needed new brake pads and rotors and was given excellent service from Benjamin. They also kept to the schedule. I made an appointment for 3pm and they took the car right away and had it fixed in 90 minutes. They're my go-to car shop!

Long review but worth reading if you're considering servicing your vehicle here…read more I ordered four new tires with installation online and scheduled a 9:00 AM appointment at Pep Boys. I arrived at 8:55 AM only to find the doors still locked. At 9:00 they finally opened, and the employee at the front desk informed customers that the technicians were late, so no work could begin yet. The first technician didn't arrive until around 9:15, and nobody working there seemed remotely concerned that he was late for work while customers were already waiting. I left my car and returned later that day when the work was supposedly completed. In the parking lot, I immediately noticed one valve stem was missing a cap. When I went back inside, they handed me a random mismatched cap that barely fit the threads. Shortly after driving away, my tire pressure monitoring system began updating, and one sensor showed "unavailable." I also noticed one tire was losing air. Because I was rushing to an event at my daughter's school, I could not return immediately. The next day I brought the car back. To his credit, the employee at the front desk seemed overwhelmed and understaffed, but he genuinely tried to help. While assisting me outside with a diagnostic tool, another employee--presumably his manager--came outside and reprimanded him in front of me for leaving a customer waiting inside. They argued in front of me and even tried to pull me into the disagreement by asking for my opinion on how the situation should have been handled. Completely unprofessional. They eventually discovered they had forgotten to install a tire pressure sensor in one wheel, and the leaking tire had air escaping around the valve stem. While fixing it, another employee informed me that the leak I found (a separate tire from the one with the sensor issue) was caused by a barcode sticker had been left on the tire during installation, preventing a proper seal, so they had to remount the tire. He seemed amused by this mistake. After already making a second trip and spending hours there, I did not find it funny. When they finally finished what they could, they informed me that "Blake" had apparently taken the sensor programming tool home, so I would need to return again in two days when he was working. On my third visit, things somehow got worse. They informed me they had run out of the adhesive wheel weights needed to rebalance the tires and it would take hours for more to arrive. Sensing my frustration, one employee went into the garage and found some loose weights lying around to use instead. After waiting yet again, I was finally handed my keys and told that Blake still could not program the tire sensor and would call me back once he figured out a solution, but he did not know what the exact issue was because he was "out of the loop". It has now been well over a week, and nobody has called. This entire experience was so absurd that I honestly worry people reading this review won't believe it actually happened, but I assure you every word is true. Beyond the repeated mistakes, what stood out most was the complete lack of pride, professionalism, accountability, or quality control. Nothing was checked before returning the vehicle to me, and every visit uncovered another careless error. The condition of the store itself reflects the same lack of standards and pride. The front area was cluttered with trash, dirty rags, random boxes, and layers of dust and dirt that looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months. It genuinely appears that nobody from corporate Pep Boys has inspected or managed this location in years. This was easily one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had.
