I brought my car to Tire MD for a routine fluid change, including the differential and transmission, which cost me around $2700. My vehicle had no issues before the service, but immediately after leaving the shop, it started making an unusual noise. I called Tire MD right away and was advised to bring the car back the next day. Upon returning, they initially told me the noise was due to a tire issue. After saving up, I brought the vehicle back for new tires, but then they informed me that the noise was actually coming from the differential/transmission. Notably, Tire MD is the only shop that has ever worked on these parts of my vehicle, and the noise began right after their service. I calmly explained this to the owner, who unfortunately responded by lashing out at me, accusing me of making baseless claims, and dismissing my concerns by saying it's a common issue with these vehicles. However, this problem only arose after their work on my car. Now, I am faced with the burden of legal fees and the cost of a new vehicle. This experience has been highly disappointing and stressful, and I cannot recommend Tire MD based on the service and treatment I received. read more

I have been taking my cars and trucks to this place since the business changed hands a while back. At least in the 5 last years, I have had a very good experience with this place. The owner Steve and John have been very good in communicating what the repair options are, and give me accurate level of effort and the price. I read some of the reviews left by other Yelpers. The price maybe a little on the high end for some repairs, but overall, I think their service rate is in line with other competent repair shops in the area. One thing that I do appreciate is that they list out all the possible things that I should pay attention to, but may not need to repair them right away. This gives me a time and budget to plan my spendings. I also appreciate that I almost never have to bring the vehicles back to have repairs done over. This saves time on my end, knowing that it will get done properly the first time around. I recently had my exhaust manifolds on both sides of the engine replaced on my Ram 1500 truck. It is a 13 year truck that needs a lot of work, but it is already fully paid for. I am not about to pay $40K on a new truck. It was a well known defect that needed to be taken care of. Not right away, but when I had the money to do a $1100 repair. I drove it with the issue for 6 months before I brought it because they told me that it is fine and not effect any safety issues. They told me what it would cost and the level of effort. It is a repair that I am not willing to do it myself because of complexity and the time required. I also do not have special tools to perform this type of repair. Most people may not realize how valuable this is. Without their knowledge and forward looking diagnostics and planning, you may be stuck with surprises. Its like your own health. If you treat one symptom when you visit your doctor, and not look at the whole health picture, you maybe back for other issues. No one is perfect and cannot predict what a 10 year vehicles will do, but at least you can anticipate what may happen. Taking into account of the whole picture is important. Car repair shops get bad reps for price gauging and dishonesty. I do not feel that way about this place. I always have an option of turning down the recommended services, but it is nice to know that they have my safety and comfort in mind. They also know that I am on budget and cannot pay for the repairs at once. They are reasonable and have worked with me on budget and timing. If something goes wrong with the parts or repair, they warranty the work and will perform the work for no additional charge, obviously. They have also told me to save money by not repairing something or defer it until later. These folks are not out there to get you. They know that having a successful car repair business depends on upholding their integrity and quality workmanship. read more

Since moving to Bristol, I have had multiple issues with my cars. And, I can not quite place how I feel about Tire MD yet. Every time I have been there I have been satisfied with the quality of service and the customer service seems to be great. I was slightly disgruntled by the use of OEM parts and when I suggest not using them they seemed less than happy by it. The main issue is I feel that they are always finding an issue with your car. And this is either 1. great because they are keeping you informed or 2. trying to get you to come back so they can milk you for more money. The reason I have this concern was because when I asked a representative whether or not a suggested fix was completely necessary he said it was completely necessary and should happen immediately. When I asked a friend who owns his own shop (not in the region) whether this was correct he said the opposite. Yes, I should get it fixed, but the immediacy was not warranted. Like I said, I would go to this place, but you really have to know your stuff. My final though is that this place is great if you have a lot of money and don't care how much it costs or how often they fix your car. read more

So grateful for this place!! I replaced my tires here earlier this year and was happy with the quick and friendly service. Today I came in at 8am in a slight panic over a loud rattling noise that my car started making last night. They looked at it immediately, found the problem (loose strap), got me a coffee, and had me out of there in under 30 minutes - no charge. I made an appointment for today yesterday morning, the guy was really nice on the phone etc, told me he would get me right in for an inspection at 2:30-3:00. After getting a flat tire, I called the next morning and they had a new tire on it by noon the same day! I was stunned at this quick of a turnaround. And because I purchased the tires from them, there was a discount on the new tire (paying based on the wear of the tread, a guarantee from the manufacturer which is why the manger said they use this brand). Since then, I have come back for oil changes and other more significant repairs. I was relieved to find a place that was professional and would take the time to explain the repairs needed without talking down to me as I have had some other places do. I discovered Tire MD in Bristol, gave them a call, and was pleasantly surprised right from the start. The staff is respectful and takes the time to explain what needs to be done and why. Steve remembers me from previous appointments - I am not a "number" in his system. It is so convenient that I receive regular emails reminding me of my next appointment and what the scheduled checks are that should be done to keep my extended warranty in place. I can give those records to my dealer when needed to show that I am maintaining the vehicle without having to drive all the way to the dealership. They give me rides to work or home if needed while my vehicle is being serviced. Their prices are extremely fair and reasonable.
