But yesterday my wife and I decided to get involved with the festivities in Gorden Square/Battery Park. So on a brisk but sunny day we drove down to Battery Park in Cleveland and visited "All Saints Public House" for a tall glass of Guinness and a dish of Cabbage and Noodles topped with a Bratwurst. The Battery Park area is a wonderful part of town and a fun place to visit. "All Saints" is a great ethnic bar/restaurant. It's dark, moody, warm, full of awesome people, and just a great place to be. The lady and gentleman that waited on us were really great and made us feel right at home. We sat and talked and watched "Gone with the Wind", drank a wonderfully satisfying Guinness (on tap), and ate some of the best Cabbage and Noodles I've ever had, with an excellent Bratwurst on top. Turns out, Dyngus Day is a load of fun... and I'm still not sure what it is?

He explained the menu and how the drinks are arranged, they even gave us a little welcome shot. They were out of the house cocktail so I went with the Sour Sun and it was delicious. As someone who enjoys pickled things, the pickled watermelon rind was a nice garnish. Oh, and I can't forget that their playlist was on point! We ordered beers and as luck would have it, I was able to order their last available rack of ribs for the evening (my go-to barbecue item)! We also got some beef brisket and a few sides to share. Overall the meats were tasty, but there were a few issues with the meal. The ribs had a nice dry rub seasoning on them and were quite tender. The brisket also had a good bark, but was a tad dry. In terms of available sauces, the Kansas City sauce was thick and tangy, but the Proof sauce was not good at all...I just could not put my finger on what about it I didn't like n its flavor profile. The coleslaw was shredded with vinegar and quite dry, the mac-n-cheese was only semi-gooey and the fries (although tasty) were limp from being undercooked. Bottom line was thumbs up on the meats and thumbs sideways (or down) on the sides. Wil most certainly give them another try as I am a BBQ junky, hoping the outcomes are slightly better.

For my entree, I had the cauliflower Milanese. It was really good. Perfectly breaded cauliflower and a nice salad on top. I will say it was expensive for an entree that didn't have a protein ($19). I'm a vegetarian so my options were limited but I would've liked maybe some tofu or beans to go with it to make it more substantial. My boyfriend had the lobster roll and really enjoyed it. For golf, we could only play the top floor course because there was a private party downstairs which was kind of disappointing. But the golf was fun. Fairly easy course and didn't have to wait too long for the group in front of us. I'd definitely like to come back and try the downstairs!

FOOD -- I ordered the Slow Braised Pork ($22) which includes sweet potato gnocchi, fennel, crispy sage, and apple cider glaze. This was a delicious and very hearty meal. I hardly eat pork so I'm glad that I enjoyed the dish. The sweet potato gnocchi was perfectly paired with the pork. Everything in the dish just blended well together. All my friends enjoyed their food too, from the meatballs, calamari, burger with fries, ratatouille, and more. I nibbled on a few of them and loved it especially the wagyu meatballs. The food was all full of flavour. Service was nice all afternoon as the server came to check on us a few times including refilling our water glasses. MINI GOLF -- Head downstairs to play some games. You pay a fee and are then given score sheets. A friend's friend had surprisingly paid for all of us and I had no idea until the next day (for some reason I thought the mini golf was included in the lunch cost...LOL). Each golf game has a different course with some being more challenging than others. I recommend Birdietown Mini Golf and Lounge for a fun day of mini golf plus lunch. I can see myself coming back again. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 48/250 total reviews in 2026 - 889 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 24 April 2026

The wait for the food order (which was delicious) was reasonable given there was a private event happening, although it did seem the bartender was stretched a little thin, taking care of the 6-7 people at the bar, making drinks for another area, and putting glasses away from a previous shift. I had the meatballs and an Italian chopped salad, both very good. Overall, it was a nice experience.

Since the Metropolitan is home to an apartment complex, an upscale hotel, a rooftop bar, a dog park, a Pilates studio, a theater, a basement vault bar, and a "high-end" eatery, there's a whole lot of people constantly coming and going. Sitting at the four (five?) two-person tables situated right at the balcony railing means you can easily lean over and watch people come and go while sipping your drinks. Unlike the rest of the bars in the hotel, I was told there was no drink menu at the Ledger, and the bartender (who waited my table!) simply asked what flavor profile I was desiring tonight. The resulting drink he made was honestly good, and I really enjoyed it. Zero idea what was in it to ever order it again (and he was really overworked to ask!), but it was a neat experience of a "craft your own experience". There were a few beers on tap. I'm unsure about wine. Centro's food menu (restaurant downstairs) appears to be available here. There's a single unisex bathroom within steps of the bar, and the regular hotel lobby bathrooms are down a floor. As conference rooms are nearby this bar, I'd also probably guess there's a large conference room bathroom block too, but I didn't find that one. The rest of the bars and restaurants in the Metropolitan tend to take most of the attention here, and the Ledger has a much more laid-back, chill vibe. A lot of people were watching a sports game (baseball, I think?) on the TV behind me. With the smaller space and wide "open" area of the full lobby, the Ledger feels like your calmest, quietest bar option out of the available places at the Metropolitan.
