The owner Shawn was dishonest and manipulate before the project then aggressive and intimidating afterwards. We were getting 10+ emails/calls/texts a day at one point. Painful. If you haven't signed yet, I'd recommend getting a second opinion on their proposal. If you've already signed, find someone knowledgeable in your corner to check each step of the way. I'm sure Bull tries to get honest reviews taken down but I'll try to keep this up even if they pressure us. Hope it helps. Good luck-- EDIT: an hour after posting this review my doorbell starts ringing. No joke, the owner is standing at my door. Kind of unsettling but I guess that's the point. He's going to "call his lawyers" if I don't delete the review. Very strange.

I brought this to the company's attention, and they agreed to come back the following week to fix the grout. I did not hear from them that week. I used Brother's Best Construction to renovate my new home. I was excited to work with them…read morebecause I had seen their work and read positive reviews. They seemed very knowledgeable, had a lot of experience, and were willing to work with my budget and wish list. They added siding to the back of my rowhome, repaired my roof, and did some brick and mortar work on the front of the house. They also installed a heavy up of my electrical system which required permits which they were very experienced with writing and submitting. The biggest and most impressive job that they did was renovating my unfinished basement. It was a blank slate and they worked with my and my changing design to give me a one bedroom one bathroom unit that I now Airbnb. Working with Summit Renovations has produced mixed emotions for my wife and I:…read more The pros: Dave is a nice person who will work with you to create the project you seek. His crew are generally good folks who do good work. His prices are comparable or better than most other renovation companies. We're mostly happy with the two projects he's done in our home. The Cons: Dave is often slow to respond to phone calls/emails and sometimes doesn't respond at all. We had to remind him to finish some aspects of our projects and -- six months later -- still haven't had some small elements finished (sealed holes in drywall, trim piece installed, etc.). I've been told by his workers that Dave will make you the center of attention until he has a better job come along and then you will be placed on the back burner; my experience verifies that to be true. They did a poor job cleaning up. All in all, you can get good work done by Dave and Summit Renovations. However, make sure you are very specific about what you want, when you want it, and then hold him to finishing the project as promised.

I hired Ashyana to perform kitchen and bathroom remodeling in my condo in April 2018. I was…read moreimpressed by their references and had a week when I was out of town where they had full access to the apartment, which Mustafa Khaliqy assured me would be sufficient to do the work. The first day, they locked themselves out and had to destroy the doorknob to get back in. Three days in, the demolish was done but no work was done for the rest of the week. After I returned, I found the condo full of dust with no groundcloth laid down to contain it, and was forced to stay in a hotel a full three days additional. Inspecting the work, the countertops were misaligned to the wall and the standing shower was installed with a 6-inch concrete lift that forced me to raise the showerhead nearly to the ceiling. The kitchen tile wasn't even extended halfway under the sink! To his credit, Mustafa's team finished the tile and moved the showerhead. Still, the fit and finish were substandard. I discovered quickly that the shower grout was not sealed properly and several of the shower floor tiles came loose. Just a few years later, the condo below mine indicated that they have water leaking into their ceiling. The culprit is the drain pan installed in the shower; from the inspector: "The drain pan (Which is a basically a rubber liner) was not properly installed. The purpose of the the liner is to trap and water that seeps through the tile and divert it back in to the drain. In the access panel on the living room side you will be able to see that the rubber liner was cut and not glued properly at of the corners. This is causing the water to drip on the ceiling of the unit below. To repair this, the shower must be demolished completely and redone properly. Unfortunately, there is no way around this."
