I initially requested in home estimates from couple of different contractors through Yelp for a project I thought would be less than $10k. One of the other companies with positive reviews straight out rejected me because they said the project would be more than $10k. Mr. Cabinet Care, on the other hand, was friendly and professional despite of my quote expectation project price less than $10k. Mr. Cabinet Care showed up on time, carefully measured my kitchen, and took the time to explain everything thoroughly before giving me an estimate of around $45k. What impressed me the most was how prepared and transparent they were from the very beginning. Even though my original budget expectation was less than $10k, they never dismissed me or made me feel like I wasn't worth their time like the other company. Instead, Mr. Cabinet Care came with a well-organized folder containing the company's history, license information, areas of expertise, and references from previous clients who could be contacted for verification. Everything was explained in a way that I could understand, and he took time to build trust and rapport with me, I felt comfortable and confident to put the deposit to move forward with the renovation. After the first initial deposit, the second deposit due on the day of the surveyor came and remeasured and confirmed the project. That was the big deposit around mid $20k. Then after that, the third deposit due on the first demolition day $14k. I think the rest will be once its all done. I'll keep Yelp updated. On the first week of demo, Alfredo and Ruben came and removed everything. It was awesome. First day and all the all cabinets and drawers already out of the way. They worked so fast, efficient and clean. They covered the floor with tape, post the project's map and plan on the wall, and very respectful of my home. Third day of demo, all the wall had been patched and ready for the next step, the second week. Second week, the lead installer, David came and introduced himself. He worked so hard from 7 am till 3 pm. The field supervisor also came to introduce himself, Fausto. They were so professional and worked efficiently. At the end of the day, David would left my kitchen clean, all the debris were vacummed, and all of his tools and equipment were neatly placed on the table for the next day. Okay, this is where I stop, because I have to wait for at least 7 days for the company to make the custom made granite top. And I will update my review once the project is done. Another thing that I appreciated, all the staff came in the company's Tshirts, in the company's car/ truck. omg even their working truck was neat inside. Anyway, it was just neat, I appreciate that. On the first week of demo, when I had a misunderstanding with what they were going to do, I called the office, and Christin, project coordinator was so helpful and patience in updating and explaining to me what happened. They were one of the few places I found that carried prefabricated quartz countertops within my budget. That's where the positive experience ended though. The countertops that came in looked like a watered down version of the floor sample, much more plain and washed out. I understand these are manufactured items and won't be identical, but they should still be in the same range as what is displayed. We even reordered with a different style, thinking that might solve the issue, but the second set had the same problem. After two failed attempts, I tried to cancel the order altogether. The items never left the facility, but Bodega would not allow a return. My contractor even tried to convert the order into store credit to use for another client, and that request was also refused. Customer service only added to the frustration. I came in right at opening one day because I needed to get in and out quickly before work. Despite that, I was passed over while staff handled a large tile delivery, which could have easily been done before opening or at a less busy time. I understand waiting my turn, but this felt poorly managed and inconsiderate, and it nearly made me late. Overall, this was a disappointing experience on multiple levels. Between the product issues, lack of flexibility, and poor service, I would not recommend coming here.

Doug was friendly, thorough in explaining everything, responsive and accommodating to requests and problem issues during the entire process. The foreman, Erik, is a master craftsman carpenter. He is detail-oriented and skilled at what he does. We also had another closet that just needed to be re-balanced, and Erik fixed that like it was a piece of cake. He went above and beyond to make sure all of the drawers were straightened and drawer pulls were tightened in that closet as well. An Architect's Review…read more As an architect, I work with contractors on a regular basis and needless to say, I was probably more particular than most when it came to choosing someone to work on my own home. Word of mouth and research led me to ARC / Armando... and I'm glad I went with him! From the beginning, communication was clear and straightforward. We went through the scope of work, my requirements and budget. I had some very basic drawings prepared to communicate my ideas. Along the way, Armando made suggestions to work with my requirements and budget. His pricing was reasonable and, most importantly, he completed the work within the budget we originally agreed upon. Anyone who has done a renovation before knows how easily costs can start creeping up once work begins. That was not my experience here. The scope and budget were established upfront and Armando stuck to them. And this was very important to me as I had no way of accommodating an increase in cost. The work was for a garage renovation, it included interior demo, replacement of an exterior window, addition of a new exterior door, vinyl wood flooring, drywall and installation of a new gypsum ceiling. Work progressed efficiently and to my expectations with no unnecessary delays. Communication throughout the project was excellent, and mostly Armando initiating the conversations to keep me updated. He was also very easy to work with on finishes and hardware. Some items I provided myself while others were sourced by him. Again, he made recommendations to work with my budget while not compromising on quality. Speaking of quality, the quality of the work was exceptional. It has now been over a year since the renovation was completed and everything still looks as good as the day it was finished. Absolutely zero complaints! His attention to detail was very much appreciated. He constantly made suggestions when he felt something could be improved. For example, he suggested a more random tile pattern for the vinyl floor instead of the more regular stagger I had proposed. We went with his suggestion and I am very pleased with it. Armando is knowledgeable, reliable and a pleasure to work with. Coming from someone who deals with contractors professionally all the time, I don't make that recommendation lightly.
