We recently had the exterior of our home painted by A Reliable Painter, and our house turned out BEAUTIFUL. We saw what an incredible job they did on our neighbor's house and called for a free estimate. Jennifer was wonderful with scheduling for us. Armando came out and we were immediately impressed with his knowledge and feedback on how to approach our house, which needed ALOT of work, so we chose this company. Armando's crew is highly skilled; they were professional, punctual, and incredibly detail-oriented. They took the time to thoroughly prep the surfaces, repair minor imperfections, and apply a flawless coat of primer & paint; it completely transformed the look of our house. They also did a fabulous job of painting our garage door, front door, shutters, and porches. Armando answered all of our questions quickly and has excellent workmanship. He also was very helpful and patient with our color decisions. We got many samples before choosing, and the final result exceeded our expectations! The lines are clean, the finish is smooth, and the overall appearance is both fresh and elegant. They kept the worksite tidy and cleaned up every day. If you're looking for high-quality skilled workmanship and a team that truly cares about delivering excellent results, I highly recommend this company for any painting needs. We are very happy with our home and are very grateful for this BEAUTIFUL job!! Thank you, thank you, thank you, to A Reliable Painter! read more

I needed my double garage sanded down and painted. Saw all the great reviews on yelp so gave them a try and glad I did! Communication to get a quote and set up appt was easy and convenient. They showed up on time, very professional, friendly, and kept the area clean and tidy. My garage looks so good that now the rest of my house looks like it needs some work! Thank you for a great job guys! read more

A Reliable Painter did such a good job on the painting and drywall repair around our new front door (both inside and outside) that we hired them to paint our entire house. They were outstanding. I think they spent nearly 5 days doing repairs and priming on the house: powerwash, hand-scraping all the exposed areas needed for repair, stucco repair, wood repair (on some trim, on the wood 4x4 pillars on the front porch, stucco primer, primer). Our neighbors came up and told us how impressed they were. Then they painted the house (Armando has an excellent eye for color, so I made sure to check our paint choices by him first!). Then Armando and a helper spent an entire day fixing tiny things. As an example, my work chair sits right next to the front windows and I can see the underside of the roof as it hangs over the front porch. They did two colors underneath after spending an extensive amount of time cleaning, repairing, and sanding the trim. It was far beyond my expectation. Throughout, as before, there was clear and timely communication. This was especially helpful as this work was done in Spring 2023, in between our weekly sessions of rain in SoCal. I was never in doubt as to when they were taking time away (because of weather) and when they would be here. All the workers were professional and the house was cleaned up to our satisfaction without our having to ask for anything extra. Yes, there were some paint splatters here and there, for instance on the hibiscus plants right alongside the back of the house, but that was unavoidable. All in all, I recommend A Reliable Painter without hesitation! We feel so confident in this badly needed repair and paint job. read more

Our 97 year old craftsman bungalow needed some love, so we had our house painted by Armando Del Valle and crew with A Reliable Painter. We were very happy with their work and the price was more than fair. Armando has painted many homes in California Heights and we've all been pleased. I think the photos speak for the quality and detail of their work. Communication with Armando and Jennifer was quick and responsive. They answered calls and texts promptly, and communicated whenever there were any questions or decisions to make. Their crew was on time, hard working, and friendly. They did a great job with the pre-painting prep work, which is very important for these old wood homes. Our home has a lot of detail with the dental work, window trims, etc.., and they did a nice job with all of that. I definitely recommend A Reliable Painter if you need work done on your home. At some point, our interior will also need a refreshing, and we will plan on contacting Armando again. read more

After getting 3 quotes, we chose Armando and A Reliable Painter to paint the exterior of our home. A neighbor had used Armando and recommended him highly. We were not disappointed. Armando was a good communicator, very responsive when we had questions, flexible if we changed our mind about something, and very thorough. His crews showed up on time and worked throughout the day. They did a really thorough job of prepping our house before spraying. Armando was honest and didn't rush to finish our project. As as example, there was one window that they had missed some glazing. Rather than quickly glazing and painting, he wait for 5 days to let the glaze cure and then came back out to prime and paint. I think there are very few contractors who, when that close to the finish line, would do what Armando did. Our house and pergola, which needs some special TLC, came out beautiful. Many neighbors have commented on how our house and siding look brand new (our house was built in 1938). It was a pleasure working with Armando and I highly recommend him. read more

Armando and his crew did an excellent job on our Cliff May Rancho inside and out. If you are unfamiliar with Cliff May Rancho's it's not easy, a lot of taping.. and they executed it with precision. He also worked with our budget, responsive, showed up on time, and finished quickly. No complaints. You won't be disappointed. read more

Armando and his crew were wonderful! Great attention to detail and very thorough in painting the exterior of our 100+ year-old craftsman, which really needed some work and prep prior to painting. Excellent communication and amazing job for a reasonable price. They really surpassed our expectations! Armando, Jennifer, and crew went out of their way to make sure we were happy with all aspects of their work. Highly skilled, reliable, hard-working, and very pleasant to communicate with. Will certainly hire them again for interior painting. Definitely recommend!! read more

Armando and his crew did an excellent job with painting our house. All of the floors were covered, did an excellent job covering up knobs and whatever needed to be covered to prevent paint from going onto it. We also had drywall done (had 3 cutouts in the walls) and it was done so seamlessly and you can't even tell there was any type of hole. Armando's wife, Jennifer, communicated with us right away with everything so we weren't just left in the dark or second guessing anything and she was very nice. We never felt like we were pressured into anything at all. We are thrilled with the outcome and highly recommend them 100%! read more

Found Armando here on Yelp. His business demeanor is professional and he's a nice guy to talk to. Explained the work to be done clearly and when it would start. His wife gave a us a couple day reminder which is good practice instead of the customer reaching out to check if project was on schedule. Like clock work his guys arrived before start time each morning and put in a full days work for the entire week. Not a common thing today. Completely masked all things off and cleaned up at the end of each day sweeping up the droppings and dust with nothing lying about but all gathered and covered. His guys took care of the little things we pointed out without any issues but with okays and acknowledgement. Will also mention not a ton of over spray onto other surfaces wasting paint. Armando regularly showed up giving us some confidence we hired the right painters. Very happy with the work. Hope the stucco guys do as good as work. read more

We were in need of repainting our garage doors and got referred to Armando with A Reliable Painter from our neighbor. He gave us a fair price for the work to be done. Him and his crew showed up on time and got the work done in a timely manner. They did a good job of keeping other areas of the property clean while working and the final paint job looks great. The doors look brand new. I would recommend A Reliable Painter for your home painting needs if you are in Orange County for all the above reasons. read more

We had another company paint our house and they did such a terrible job! I called Armando from A Reliable Painter to give us a quote to fix what had been done poorly. His team was on time everyday, very professional and did such a fantastic job with so much attention to detail in the prep work! I needed our house painted quickly so that we could move my dad in. I got in touch with Jennifer through Yelp who was super responsive and helpful. The next day Armando came out to give us a quote which was the fairest one that we received. The house we had bought wasn't well taken care of. Armando ran into a few problems with some of the walls and handled it. He painted every bedroom of our 4 bedroom home, the living room, fixed a hallway wall and painted that, kitchen cabinets, and baseboards and doors. He also helped us paint our front door. He and his team did this in 8 days! He was fast, efficient and the quality of his work is amazing. I would absolutely recommend that anyone use this company. They truly are very reliable! read more

Hire Armando and his crew! You won't be disappointed. We supervised a fence and gate project at a friend's house in Newport Beach, so the pressure was on to make it amazing. Armando and Jennifer were great communicators. Their work was excellent. And they are just all-around lovely people. I felt like they were truly invested in making us happy -- which they did! We hired A Reliable Painter to do a paint job after a whole house repipe and to touch up fading/damaged paint at our home. Their price is very reasonable and Jennifer has been very responsive. Armando and his crew just finished our house. From the beginning we were really impressed by Armando. He was recommended to us by a neighbor. He showed up exactly on time for the quote (on a holiday!), had us a very competitive price really quick and promptly got us scheduled. As the name says he's ultra reliable. Always on time and they really worked hard to get things done right. No corners were cut and the final project looks great. The entire job site was clean and tidy each night. They really went the the extra mile with prep work and it shows. Everything was masked off that needed to be, lots of stucco repairs etc. I have already recommended them to my neighbors and a friend. Best crew of painters I've ever hired!!! They worked so hard to please us and TOOK PRIDE IN THEIR WORK!! They took the time to do it right. The prep work time they spent on patching, sanding, priming and masking off areas was lengthy and extremely detailed. They made our older living/dining rooms look brand new because of their expertise in both preparation and actual painting. They came to us on short notice. They cleaned up their supplies and equipment very very well. They were polite, clean and cheerful even after working 8 hours for us. My highest recommendation!!! I could not be any happier with the wonderful work Armando and his awesome crew did that we already hired them for a second job and will be planning a third job over the summer! I found A Reliable Painter thru Yelp and the owner Armando came over the next day for an estimate. His pricing for a large master bedroom and bathroom was very reasonable considering the meticulous work involved: high ceilings, built-in cabinet drawers and the removal of many fixtures. The crew really took the time to prep the rooms with plastic tarp and tape including covering all the walkways from the front door, to the stairs and up to the actual room to be painted. Such outstanding, clean and beautiful work. The room came out even better than I had imagined! The craftsmanship and quality of their work is very commendable. Thank you Armando! read more

The crew did a great job painting the house. It had a lot of wood siding that needed repair, and the team did an excellent job repair and prepping it before painting. I live in San Diego, and he made it easy for me to communicate with him via text. He was prompt, courteous, followed through. I highly recommend this company. read more

We called several different painters before finally discovering A Reliable Painter here on Yelp. Jennifer got right back to me every time I had a question, and gave me a rough estimate (which was actually lower than any of the others we had gotten) based on my description of what I needed to have painted. She sent her husband, Armando, out to see the job in person to give us a final bid, which was right in line with what Jennifer had quoted. We decided we wanted to add a few things to be painted, and Armando was happy to oblige, either with no extra charge or at a very low extra price. His workers were extremely efficient at their masking and painting. Our home is stucco, and every place that needed patching was done very well, and the 'signature' of the original stucco style was matched almost perfectly, which is very hard to do! We are definitely keeping the business card for this husband and wife-owned company for when we have the inside of our home painted. I definitely recommend A Reliable Painter to anyone who needs anything painted! read more

I am so glad we found Armando and his team to paint our townhouse. They did a really good job. Armando is nice and very accomodating. He also makes sure to come and supervise his workers. Armondo is simply amazing! He is very skilled at what he does and most importantly his attention to detail is what lets his work look impeccable. Calling in to schedule an appointment was easy and on the day of I received a phone call from Armondo letting me know he was on his way, and he showed up right on time- so even before the work started he was already ahead of everyone else! The other thing I noticed is how much care and time went into covering everything, even if it was just for a relatively small patching job. The actual job was done by the book and he really did take his time in making sure everything was cured before going to the next step. The end result was unbelievable and I would have never guessed there was a lot of damage there. Their rates are also very reasonable. We definitely know who to call for our next full paint job! I contracted with A Reliable Painter to paint and do minor repair on my house. Armando showed and completed a proposal for the job. We walked around the house and pointed out things that needed special attention. Armando took note of those details and completed a written estimate for me. The price was reasonable and I accepted. I was real skeptical about the prep work needed for a good paint job that will last and look good. After I saw the prep work underway my fears about the details were greatly diminished. The prep work at the beginning of each day and clean was exceptional. Way more than I expected.
