No surprises were had when all of the work that was completed was to the absolute highest quality. Nelson Moreno is one of the hardest working and most genuine people I know; not only this, he is honest, trustworthy, caring and just simply a good human. We still have not received a single thing in return, All Pro constantly responds with COVID holds us up , and the City won't work with All Pro on a timely basis. We know that All Pro has taken on Many other projects after receiving our monies and set our project to the side. At this point All Pro has Asked us to pay them 5000$ extra dollars for soil samples that they knew they would need 2yrs ago, so we contacted the soils company for ourselves and they informed us that they only charge 1200$ for their services. you make your own assumptions but we suggest that no one ever get involved with All Pro Builders, as they are deceitful in money, time and work. All Pro constantly retracts the cost and adds more cost to the timeline as extras so plan to pay way more for anything they quote. they do this by insisting the architect has made a mistake and that they need more money to make the corrections! But the Architect works for All Pro, So they control the mistake but always want more to correct the problem that they created. if you contract with All Pro and you refuse to pay for their "extras" they will leave your project unfinished... and they don't care! they will stop working and leave the project abandoned.. We wanted to build a second storied home for space for our children that are now about to go to college next year as they are in late high school years now , defeating the purpose! leaving our 12,000$ investment basically wasted, because by the time we build the house now all we will be left with is a bigger emptier home. In conclusion, our Family is warning yours that maybe this is your type of business process and you will use All Pro, but be warned if you have a budget they will run it over so don't plan your budget on their job quote you will need much more MONEY than expected! Today I called and receptionist said he was there only to later be told he was not in. You are taking your chances with this company if this is any indication of their professionalism. At this point I'm not expecting them to finish anything as I don't think their work is up to par by any means. I will post pics of a bathtub install that was so crooked as well as the cut out for waterlines for the laundry area were crooked. They left recessed lights unfinished and all electrical outlets unfinished as well. This was all part of the contract work that should've been finished. Unfortunately my sister and myself were co owners of this property, but my brother in law hired this company for the simple fact that he was a friend of his, without taking bids for this job. Now my sister has taken her name off the property and I'm left dealing with this contractor and his unfinished work, but as you can see they are not even willing to talk to me. Thankfully I was able to hire my own crew because there was time sensitive work that needed to be done regarding permits. He sent a rep out to measure and we got a very quick response with an estimate that was fair and with a quality window company. Like everything these days, the manufacturing process took time but that is to be expected and we were not in a hurry. Once the windows came in, they were shipped directly to us and his crew showed up (early) on the set appointment date. They swapped out eight windows in less than seven hours and we could not be happier with the results. The new Milgard Tuscany windows are, of course double paned, and light years better than the 60+ year old single pane windows we had before. Of course they are going to help with temperature control but our house is only one street away from a freeway and the noise reduction is spectacular. Tom is the owner of Shenon Construction, and as first time homeowners with a master bedroom addition being our first construction project, we approached Tom both cautiously and slowly. We first talked 8 years ago and Tom was so incredibly patient, answering all our questions and going round after round with meetings. He led us through HVAC and window considerations before we even committed to the project. He subsequently drafted a thoughtful and detailed plan, connecting us with his designer to get things started. Enter COVID and our infamously slow city planning department. It took almost five years just to get our permit approval. Tom kept advising us throughout and his recommended designer diligently re-submitted plan after plan. Tom never showed an ounce of impatience and after five years, a project needs to be re-bid. Impressively, Tom encouraged us to price compare contractors once again. We knew Tom so well at this point and he still carefully re-walked us through every step of the process and cost. Once again, no one came close to Tom and Shenon in their ability to earn our trust. When we finally kicked things off at the end of July, we were introduced to our project manager, Adam. Hands down the most detail-oriented, organized, and responsible person we've ever met, Adam was at our house almost every day. Memorably, he echoed Tom in saying every tiny detail or concern goes through them. From then on, we saw every worker arrive on time doing incredible work. We discussed endlessly the closet sizes, number of light fixtures, which windows pass code, who does lead remediation, replacing the basement access, where to fit a sun tunnel, what height to make our deck, yes or no to gutters, color choice after color choice, and on and on. Adam smiled throughout, had answers to every question, and always replied with a 'just let me know'! Everything was built to meet Tom and Adam's high standards. We received to-do lists weekly, a spread out payment schedule, and met with scores of expert sub-contractors. Tom and Adam did all this while juggling around our living in the home, limiting dust and noise, and being ever mindful of our cat. Adam went above-and-beyond here, as well, responding to our group text chats anytime day or night and was excellent handling our day-to-day needs while sending the big project questions to Tom. We ultimately became friendly with these guys and can't imagine any homeowner not feeling the same. It was amazing to see our room go from foundation to framing to finishing--everything happened so quickly! In fact, the whole project took about five months, wrapping up with the final inspection an entire month ahead of schedule. We now have a wood-floor master bedroom with a large picture window, an subway-tiled master bathroom with wet room shower/bath combo, a much needed walk-in-closet, and a lovely wood deck patio with a pergola. We absolutely love our new space, and we couldn't be more thankful to Shenon. We've heard from friends and neighbors about construction nightmares, littered with no shows, hard to reach GCs, shoddy workmanship, and unfulfilled follow-ups. Shenon construction is the complete opposite. Tom keeps every promise and provides options for aesthetics and saving money, but never compromises on quality. Adam's care and hard work makes the project smooth and keeps the excitement of building fun and alive. They're just awesome, and we can't recommend them enough. Wrapping up our project, we were told that as the house settles, the grout will crack and caulk will separate and to call as we notice these things. Tom answered our follow-up call over a year later without missing a beat. He sent his glass guy and grout guy for 2 separate checks and fixes and did all that without cost to us. After we signed the contract we learned that he was retiring and that Albert was going to manage our project. It took them one year to complete a project that was slated for six months. The job site was a mess the entire time. Albert was terrible at showing up when he said he would or completing phases within the agreed timeframe. I hired Morey because they did a wonderful job for my close friends, but now that it is not run by Ben, I would not refer them to anyone.
